Absolutely excellent news, MGRamsey. I think of her so much and realize how lucky you are to still be able to communicate with both your parents. Prayers for continued improvement! I would give up snow for that, too!!! And y'all know how much I want snow, LOL!
We had a great weekend visit with my parents. On Saturday, a storm came through and we had "thunder" snow. It was thundering and snowing hard. We got a little over 3 inches in 2 hours. Thats a big deal in Gastonia, NC. I collected snow outside and mom made snow cream, just like when I was a kid.

1) Click on the User CP tab at the top of the page.

2) Look on the left hand side of the page for the "Edit your Details" link. (very first one)

3) Scroll down to the second box and look for "Social Networking Information"

4) Enter your facebook ID in the facebook box. (That's not the whole link. Just the nickname you gave yourself on facebook. If you don't know what it is, go to facebook and click on your name to see your page how others see it. Then look at the web address. It should look like this-http://www.facebook.com/#!/made582. Just take everything after the last slash and enter it in the box. So in my case it's made582.)

5) Scroll down to the bottom and click "save changes".

6) Now when people go under your profile and look at your "Contact Info" there will be a link to your facebook page.

7) Come back here and tell us you did it so we know to go look for it.

Thanks Made! And everyone else...I got it added.

Good Monday morning everyone. We are back home in the mountains after visiting my parents in the flat lands over the weekend. It was a great visit.

Weather is nice here today. Temp was 15 when I headed for work this morning. We are under a winter weather advisory tonight with up to 4 inches of snow forecast. Hope the weatherman is right, (although I would rather have a couple of feet of snow but I will take what I can get).

Have a blessed day everyone.

Well the neurologisit thinks my mom had a slight stroke. He said that it wouldn't show up in a cat scan for 36 hours unless it was massive. So they are going to do a MRI on her next wednesday to see what it shows. Then they will decide what to do from there. He does think there is probably a little bit of neuroapathy in her leg since she has been having problems with it going numb and tingling for a while but he doesn't think that it would have gotten that much worse that quick.

Her writing is a little better today and her balance is okay but she seems to shuffle her right foot instead of lifting it up when walking.
We are praying for mom.

Good evening, Christmas family

I am getting ready to turn in soon with the book I am reading. It has been one long and tough week. A couple of days ago, I think I mentioned that I made some errors in a dictation and I guess the doctor was pretty mad. Now, this is not a doctor that you can understand easily. He has a very EXTREMELY THICK Spanish accent. I felt bad enough about the errors but the email from the QA person was downright mean. She should have just come out and said what she was hinting at - that she thinks I am stupid. Sort of makes me wonder if I really ought to be doing what I do for a living.

Other than that, wrok went pretty okay. I am so, so tired though. Hermione and me are just on the couch together, Clancy is on the love seat tonight and Wish is happily snoring in his little bed behind the couch, which is the spot he chose for his bed !

Made - Praying for your mother.

Big (((((HUGS)))))) to everyone, ESPECIALLY:

Don't beat yourself up over the mistake. A couple of weeks ago I sent out a letter for a meeting we hold every year...forgot to change a date...so I sent a letter inviting folks to a meeting in 2010! I was three years too late! Everyone does it...but I'm sorry they weren't very nice to you. I'm sure they make their fair share of mistakes!

Good Morning Everyone! Phew! What a busy weekend but it was all good. I feel a little beat up right now but will get up and around shortly. My mom and I will be going to the gym today so I hope my energy is there! She is 70 years old and outlast me every time. When I grow up I want to be just like my mommy.

Have a great day everyone!

Hello everyone. This is a short work week for me...just Monday and Tuesday. We are heading to the Great Wolf Lodge in Texas (hotel with indoor water slides and wave pool and stuff like that). My kids are so excited they can't stand it! My wife and I are, too! But, its always hard for me to be productive on short weeks, as I'm already in vacation mode.

I hope you all have a great week.

Does anybody have Presidents' Day off from work today? Sounds like business as usual around here. I'm off, but Mr. is on call for some work that's supposed to come in later today. So we're just hanging around the the house. I have a couple letters from about a month ago that I haven't answered yet ... shame on me.

I'm serious....I think we should have a four day work week and a three day weekend....the first day of the weekend you could spend getting all your groceries and cleaning your house...the next two you could relax....

Some workplaces actually do that, but the catch is that it is four 10-hour workdays instead of five 8-hour days. They still get their 40 hours out of you. But a lot of people enjoy having the free weekday that they don't mind the longer workdays.

I am hard at work even though its President's Day.

Okay...I'm at work even though its President's Day.

Just read Xmas365's most recent blog post. Congratulations on 400+ days of posting Christmas songs, and thanks for doing it! If I'm not mistaken, it was your posting that first introduced me to the Bobby Darin song "Christmas Ault Lang Syne." It has since become one of my all time favorites. Keep up the good work, brother.

That sounds like a fabulous family trip!! I've been to the Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin Dells, and you never want to leave. Have a fun time!! :)

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

The kids are out of school today, and Nancy and I are working. It's been downright cold this weekend, and we even had a little sleet Saturday morning. There was a thick coat of ice on my truck this morning, so I was a little late for work.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Thank you! We love it and the kids talk about it all year until our next visit rolls around.

I am also excited because we're going to this place:

http://www.chophouseburgers.com/

I saw it on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives," and they mix smoked brisket in with their ground beef on the burgers. Okay...I have to stop now or I'll keep going...but I think I'm most excited about the food...and seeing my little ones have so much fun.

Yum!! They sound delicious!!!

Hope you & your family have a wonderful time!!

So funny. That plot line sounds hilarious! Going to the moon, LOL!

Spent a unique evening watching a movie Buster Keaton made in Mexico in 1946. All the dialogue was in Spanish, and there were no subtitles on the DVD. We don't understand Spanish, but we could follow the plot fairly well, though, and the sight gags didn't need translation. Something about his being mistaken for a murderer, then he and another murderer are spared if they agree to go to the moon in an experimental rocketship. There was a hilarious moment when someone whispers something in Keaton's ear warning him of the danger of landing on the moon, and he responds in English, "Oh, the h--- with it!" We also have an English-dubbed video of it somewhere---we'll watch that sometime and figure out the parts we couldn't understand.

Brad, you are the group politician.....can you do this for us?

Lucky! My sister sent me pics. I am so jealous!

Of course, they don't actually wind up on the moon, but they THINK they do. Confusion and hilarity reign ... it's not a great film, but it was fun. It was an international evening. We also watched Laurel & Hardy speaking German, and British an Italian documentaries about L&H.
