Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good afternoon,


I called out of work today, I am having a issues with my new prescription (my loopy pills) I am feeling very loopy, lethargic, and very drowsy, I walked into my room 3 times to get the computer and forgot what I went in there for. I called my Dr. to see what I can do, or if it is a reaction with my other daily prescription that also says "may make you drowsy." Just feeling blah.

Made, it's too bad you were shoveling, guess who showed up at my front door delivered by the good people from the USPS:

He is even more beautiful up close, his beard is covered in a very fine glitter, I will be displaying him with the others.

Our neighbors' home was broken into while they were out. Their entire house was trashed and things from jewelry to video game systems were stolen. Whoever it was then unlocked all of their windows so they could return. Please keep my family in your thoughts/prayers in case this person does come back. It's so creepy that the person came in broad daylight and I never even noticed anything going on.

That is scary, I hope they find the person/persons responsible quickly. You are all in my thoughts.

What a great day! We have about 6 inches of snow. It is still snowing lightly and another inch or so is expected. The snow cream is great and we still have power. The fire is going. Temp is a lovely 28. Ouside our home looks just like this signature picture I took a couple of years ago. I know most folks, including my wife, don't agree with me but I see this as perfect weather.

Brad - Hopefully you are able to see your doctor today. We are praying you are ok.

That happened to Adrian & I in Las Vegas Very scary, you feel so violated. It happened in broad daylight, they kicked in our front door frame. I came home to find our home trashed. We ended up getting a security alarm & firearm for protection.

Stay safe, it worries me that the weatherpeople can't seem to get a grip on how much snow is going to be falling with this storm. I have read 3 different reports for here, 1-3inches, 3-5 inches, or 5-8 inches. We live in a mountain town so we always expect a little more than what they say.

Boston.com is saying it's difficult because the snow will be melting and compacting as it falls, so what you see on the ground won't represent the amount that has actually fallen. I don't know if that holds true out where you are, though. I worry about how much will stick to the roads. Tonight should be fine, but after work tomorrow ... lately I seldom know when I have to stay later until it happens.

The doc comes to Claxton from Savannah once a week, and he'll be here tomorrow, so I'm going to see him then. Thanks for the prayers!

Yeah, it's a heavy wet snow. So it's prone to give people heart attacks according to the news. That's why I been trying to go out and clean it off everytime we get around a half inch or so. That way I don't kill myself in the morning.

I guess I get to enoy the snow a liitle more. We don't worry about shoveling or snow removal. Outside of town, there are no snow plows here. The mountains makes snow driving more dangerous so a lot of folks here just stay home. I used to travel in the northeast a lot and was always impressed how well the cities keep the roads clear. We call it Godly snow here. God put it down and he will eventually get it up.

Be careful and keep being smart. We don't need any heart attacks.

My Dr. called me back and suggested to stop taking the loopy pills, because they may be reacting with my anxiety meds. You think he would have checked that before prescribing the loopy pills. :-?

Hi everyone!!

Sorry I haven't been around in a few weeks but I have been completely tied up with school and I have finally finished my Bachelors Program with a BS in Information Systems whoo hoo!!! So I am taking a couple of weeks off before getting ready to start on my MBA. I hope you have all been having a wonderful time and staying safe in the snow The most activity we have had is some hail this afternoon. Have a great night everyone!!

The Lear is fueled up and ready to go! I can hardly wait to see snow and eat snow cream!

We now have DSL so I'm able to be on the internet from home!

It is poring snow now. Looking for 6-9 inches tonight. Everyone is welcome to come over for breakfast. We will have fresh snow cream! Remember to park at the bottom of the mountain and walk up.

The local community college where I work will be closed so I will get to stay home tomorrow and enjoy it.

We have a winter storm warning for tonight in to tomorrow. High winds, rain then turning to snow. The reports keep changing, last I heard we will get 4 to 8 inches maybe more. Additional snow Thursday in to Friday. I am going to run to the supermarket for a few things, in case I don't want to go out over the next couple of days. I hope everyone has a great day!

The meeting did go well, AND I took some pics with my new phone. Now all I have to do is learn how to download them! One is a pic of a stuffed polar bear, CM3.

Heart attack snow is the worst! Make sure you're extra cautious! It's better to take a couple of breaks here and there compared to doing as much as you can at once.

Elf on a Shelf seemed to be the new big thing this year. A kid in my neighborhood cried when his mom went to put his away so she let him keep it out an extra two months. I love candy canes!



Same here! I am looking forward to some warmer temperatures. I freeze every single time I walk to class and the weather is always nuts. Either rain, snow, high winds, ice, etc. It's never nice when I have to walk across campus!



I watched an episode or two of their show. That's a good idea! We can all hang out and get paid for our Christmas love. I think we're more interesting than the Duggar family anyway.



Congratulations on finishing your Bachelors' program! I will be finishing mine up in the fall. I was also considering going for an MBA. Good luck with it and I am sure you will be very successful. Hope the hail wasn't anything too bad!

Stay safe! As I said, there is nothing worse than the high winds. They'll knock out power so quickly. I always go to the grocery store as early as possible, as well. I like to get my items before the mob of people rushes in with the same idea.



Good morning! I am on spring break right now, and let me tell ya, the weather isn't very spring-ish! I am stuck inside with all of this snow!! That sounds like such a beautiful day, I am very jealous. I can only dream of temperatures in the 60's right now! Highs in the 40's is like a heatwave here lol!
