Good morning,

Just resting for what will be a long night at work. Still playing catch up from last weeks lost days. Today is always a hard day for me, it was 22 years ago today my mom lost her battle with cancer, I always get moody, and emotional on and around this day. Trying to keep myself calm by listening to some Christmas music, it always relaxes me the most. I should probably start to get ready for work.

I am praying for you today. Cancer stinks. My mother has been fighting colon cancer for 13 years now.

Good Afternoon MMC!!!!! It's a chilly and snowy day here in central Indy with a high of 35 projected. We were in the 80's last year on this day, so I'll take it!!! Hopefully this is a good sign for this summer. I'm dragging today. With being sick over the weekend and then having my niece the last couple of days, I'm just wore out. So I slept in a little late today but now I'm up and at it. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to do some running around and then will be back until I leave for work.

Happy Pines day everyone.

We had more bad news this morning. We had a 17 yr old commit suicide Monday then last night a 15 yr old girl in our high school attempted suicide. She is in ICU in Asheville. Just like the first kid, she was struggling with a broken home. Her dad had an affair and moved in with his girlfriend abandoning his kids. Some folks should not have children. There are obviously a lot hurting kids out there. We live in a very small community, only 5,000 people in our whole county, so it hits everyone hard. Sorry to be a downer but the family covets your prayers.

So we know Black Smoke means the coffee is on at the vatican and White smoke means we have a new pope. What does a white seagull sitting on top of the chimmney for an hour mean though?

He has a microphone attached to him so that someone can try to hear what is going on in there... dangerous for the seagull because if he is caught he becomes dinner!

It's amazing how many people will tear apart their own families with no regard for what happens to the children.

Good Wednesday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

I found a way to "remote desktop" into my computer from a vacant computer, so I can get a few things done before I have to be out tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to another procedure, but hopefully he can figure on what the problem is, and get me going again!

how's it? we have had such nice weather the last few days. temps in the 60's w/ lots of sunshine. hubby & I were going to go away this weekend, but we decided to stay home since we have so many little projects going on here @ home. he is on vaca thurs. & fri., I'm on vaca friday.

my daughter keeps putting off going to look for a prom dress. I guess i'm gonna have to drag her to the stores.

what's new w/ everyone? does anyone have plans for the weekend ahead?

Good morning everyone! I am at work so I have to be brief. It was a coolish 41F this morning on my way in,and tonight we are getting down to 33F so tomorrow could be our last frost of the season,I thought it was about 10 days ago,I hope I was wrong. Just a few days until our Utah trip and cant' wait to see western snow!!! I hope everyone has a great hump day...ttyl!

So sorry to hear this and I agree some should not have kids,and some parents need to keep it in their..I am sorry I almost let it slip out..lets just say they need to resist temptation..It may not seem like you are doing anything wrong but usually someone gets caught and it destroys relationships and marriages! I will keep your community in my prayers!

Glad you posted this... I may not have been so tactful, myself. People seem to never think of others' lives who may be impacted by their actions....

Hello everyone! So far I have walked the dogs, straigtened up the house and ran a few errands. My clothes dryer broke Monday night but my husband was able to fix it last night. I'm catching up with the laundry right now, one day without the dryer and I can't believe the pile I have. Not too much else planned for the day. Two of my girls have work tonight so we will have an early dinner, spaghetti and meatballs. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

It's great that your husband could fix the dryer himself! Laundry definitely has a way of piling up... And fast!
