Wow, how exciting! How did this come about?

I just got a call to become a Wilton cake decorating instructor!!!
I am so excited about that. I have to take a bunch of courses but it will be so much fun getting paid to do what I love!

CAH, so glad to hear your grandson is okay. Continued prayers for him.

Now I have another movie to watch! Tom Hanks is our former school secretary's first cousin! She told me he is just as nice in person as he is portrayed on the screen.

Caninemom and Snowflake, I enjoyed Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan's movie, You've Got Mail. The fall scenes in there are great on up to the little bit of Christmas you see. Wayne really likes both of those movies, Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail!

Thanks, Merry. You know the funny thing is that I found an online checker for writing ( I dont know how accurate it is ) and I put some of my stuff in it and of course it found errors. Then just out of curiosity I cut and pasted a passage from one of Charles Dickens' books. It came back with oodles of errors !!! If Charles Dickens is not considered to be gramatically correct then there is something wrong !! Dickens is my hero !

That's not to say that grammar isn't important---but don't let it stand in the way of the writing. Get it down on paper first ... there's always time to clean it up afterward.

I think the checker flagged a lot of Dickens' stuff because grammar checkers are based on CURRENT usage, and slanted toward business and academic writing. It's not equipped to deal effectively with creative writing (or Victorian patterns of speech and text).

Busy day so far ... bookkeeping, laundry, haircut ... 3 or 4 hours editing and mixing audio for a podcast segment (and still not finished! it's like doing a jigsaw puzzle of a painting you're still working on!) ... still have to fold laundry and put the fresh sheets on the bed. Then I'll be ready for ... I was going to say tea, but it's about dinnertime. And some relaxation. Whew.

How's your weekend shaping up?

90% average

Good evening, Christmas Family !

First and foremost - WELCOME BACK XMAS !!! We sure did miss you xo

My 80 pound Hermione is laying next to me sleeping. In fact if she were any closer to me she would be part of my skin. But I don't mind. In fact, I prefer it this way. There is nothing like the love of such a pure, innocent being as my furkids are.

Eight hour work days over until Monday but I will still probably be working over the weekend as I usually do. I generally do not work more than three or four hours and then I usually go and relax.

I have just four more lessons left in my creative writing class and the final exam is March 29. I am a bit disappointed in myself as far as the quizzes. There have been eight. I have gotten four 100% grade and four 80% grades. I don't know what this averages out to.

I just was hoping I would do better overall and not just with the grades but with the assignments. As each new assignment comes every week I am discovering more and more I am NOT a writer. Oh well. Guess it may be time to find a new dream.

HomemakinGirl - I hope you find some help from your doctor appointment with your headaches xo

CAH - So glad your grandson is doing okay now - How terrifying that must have been xo

Brad - Glad you are feeling better and so relieved you caught this in time. xo

Have a good Christmassy night dear Christmas Family xo

It averages out to 90% that is an A-!!! You are doing a great job!!! Don't you dare give up your dream, writing assignments about things that aren't in your passion is more difficult than writing about things you love. You are a writer, you have so much passion in your blog posts. Go for your dream, we all want to go after our dreams, and you are lucky enough to be going for it.

Good evening mmc buddies! whew glad it's the weekend. We are on Spring Break now! our plane leaves for Salt Lake City at 545am in the morning so I better go to sleep. Have a safe trip!

Hello my lovely friends! How are you all doing? I am so sorry I have been away from here for so long. I have been thinking of you all and I keep meaning to make the time to pop in even if it's just a minute or two. I miss this place. I didn't realise how much till I signed in this morning :) I felt like I was entering the door to some secret magical place.......well actually it is!

Anyway , things have been rather hectic at my end. My husband has been unwell since the start of the year. So I have not had the time to visit you all as much as I would like. I can't actually believe so many weeks have gone by to be honest! It will soon be christmas again!

I am sorry this is only a short visit. I hope that all of you are well and I will visit again soon and try to catch up with more of the posts.

Take care my christmas angels!
xxxxx Sam

Nice to see you here, I will keep your husband in my thoughts.

Ha ha! Dork alert here but I am back to watching the Brady Bunch again! They love the word, "groovy"! I have enjoyed that show since I was a little kid and still watching them even though I have seen every episode over and over. It's my "mindless" TV watching and fun. The grandkids watch it with me now too. :D

The Brady Bunch is one of my guilty pleasures, I own seasons 1 & 2 on DVD. cheesy

Pudding, yougurt, cookies, donuts, string cheese, lunchables, chocolate milk, and ice cream. That's why I hate taking my niece's to the store.

good evening everyone, first time on this thread, hope your all having a fantastic weekend...:sparkle:

Howdy Frosty!!!!! Welcome to the countdown!!! Feel free to jump right in and don't worry about trying to stay caught up. Just post when ever you feel like it!!

I like the sound of that, Made, about being behind on your preparations. Not the fact you are behind, but the fact that you have preparations that begin this early! What are they?

Well I could tell you but then I'd have to.........

Usually I spend the first part of the year looking for new recipes to try out. Normally I make them at home first and then if I like them, I'll make them for easter to get everyone's take.

I also work on my cards. Since I buy them after Christmas, I will go ahead and get all of the ones for the family ready to send out since most of them are retired and not moving again.

Then I start looking for stocking stuffers for my niece's and nephew. I've learned my lesson on buying big gifts this early but most of the small things they won't stop liking between now and Christmas.

I also decided that I should do one of the special posts to welcome in the season this year and started writing it back in January. Then I didn't like the direction that it started going so I abandoned it for a few days to rethink my inspiration. 2 months later I haven't even opened up the file again. So I need to get back on it.

I would love to read a special post by you, Made !! Please consider writing it !!!
