Good afternoon, MMC!

There is snow on the ground again. Looks very festive out right now. cheesy

I have a few things to get done today work-wise and then the rest of the day is mine. I have been dreaming of Christmas lately so maybe it is time to start on my notebook for this year!

Have a MERRY day!

Today would be a wonderful day to start on your notebook !! What a great idea !

Gotta run to an appointment shortly, but
Note to CM3: Write for yourself, and write for US. Stop worrying about whether it's "good" or not. That's up to the reader, not to some teacher who never met you. Don't worry about parts of speech or a "style." Be yourself. Don't let the class ruin you!

Thanks, Merry. You know the funny thing is that I found an online checker for writing ( I dont know how accurate it is ) and I put some of my stuff in it and of course it found errors. Then just out of curiosity I cut and pasted a passage from one of Charles Dickens' books. It came back with oodles of errors !!! If Charles Dickens is not considered to be gramatically correct then there is something wrong !! Dickens is my hero !

You are a normal mom! My daughter has a family, 3 children and I still worry about her. Her and her husband and the kids traveled 7 hours yesterday to a condo on the beach. I asked if she can text me to let me know she made it there safely. The first time she traveled as a family I asked her to do that and apologized for acting like a "mom" because I know she is an adult and responsible. She thanked me for being the way I am and had no problem letting me know that she is safe.

My son is 22 years old and recently graduated college. He still lives here but he NEVER goes out like other guys his age does. Even while in college the guys wanted him to go out and party but he said it's just not his thing. He is content hanging around the house and having his friends here instead. All they do is play video games. Lol! Work, sleep and video games is his only interest. I guess I never have to worry about him (for now)!

Anyway, normal to not feel comfortable until you hear from your kids no matter what their age is! =)

Thank you for telling me I'm a normal mom Christmas-A-Holic, that makes me feel better. My kids think I'm crazy!

Good morning, Christmas family

It is a very chilly and gray day in Ohio today. I may actually just take it easy today. I had to take sinus medicine and it is kicking my{}%>!!!! I am so sleepy I can hardly stay awake ! Perhaps just a short nap.....:hi:

Hope you're feeling better Caninemom3!

Hey everyone, just having a quick coffee break. Its snowing! Big, beautiful, fluffy snowflakes are falling from the sky. Its not sticking but its so pretty.

Who wants to bring me some bread?? Both of my niece's decided to come home with me and I know if I take them to the store with me, I'll end up spending all kinds of money. I'm all out of bread though. Hmm. Maybe I'll just run to the gas station.

busy day here, got lots done, found my bank card back, did some shopping now to put together a lemon cheese cake before I go to work.
Have a great evening everyone!!

This is still up on the side of one of our local arenas. It is -2c today after a thaw yesterday which is why this is all decked out with icicles

Praying for your grandson and laughing right along with you about your granddaughter. I could just imagine that ride home. Take care and keep us posted.

My grandson had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance on Wednesday.

We had a rough couple of days just as I thought I was going to get back on here and stay caught up. On Wednesday I posted about my mother, grandkids and myself going to Six Flags in the morning. We got back and were about to go for a bike ride. My 3 grandkids and myself put on our bicycle helmets took the bikes out.

My oldest grandson managed to flip his bike and the handlebars were in a straight up position and he rammed his belly into it. He came down really hard. The pain was so bad that he couldn't walk. I saw it happen and it went deep into his belly but did not cut it, just scratched up real bad. We realized he could not move and called an ambulance. They transported him to Childrens Hospital and decided to admit him after they found fluids in his intestines. He was in so much pain that they had to give him morphine. After staying overnight they got him to eat and make sure he was holding down his food. They got him moving around and he started improving. They did decided to release him Thursday with some restrictions. I was just heartbroken but so glad he is doing better now.

We had on helmets, next I am putting them in full bodied armor!

Here to lighten up the story but the night we were all at the hospital Wayne and I decided to take home our other 2 grandchildren since mom and dad were staying with my oldest grandson at the hospital. It was almost 10:30 pm at this time and we are all exhausted and I am still feeling a bit of shock from everything, my 3 year old granddaughter is in the back seat just chattering away the whole entire time. I was actually thankful for it because she was giving Wayne and I a laugh and keeping the mood a little brighter. It was a 30 minute ride and she made an announcement 5 minutes before we got home, "Okay, we all need to be real quiet". (She was the only one talking)! Ha ha! She gets to the house and the chatter starts up again to the point where we are all laying down and dozing off and she starts talking to my dog! She talked herself to sleep! She is a hoot!

Okay, Merry Thoughts everyone and have a great day!!!

I like the sound of that, Made, about being behind on your preparations. Not the fact you are behind, but the fact that you have preparations that begin this early! What are they?

I hope they don't fly by to quick!! I have been slacking the last couple of months and I'm way behind on my preparations already.

Made, you always make me smile!

.... So hopefully it doesn't rain to much tonight because the city park floods real easy. Then again, an underwater easter egg hunt could be kind of fun it wasn't going to be in the 20's tomorrow morning. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, Meceka. I was smiling reading about her granddaughter.

Oh my goodness, what a thing to go through - I am so very glad that your grandson is okay!!! I love reading your granddaughter stories - she is adorable! Take care, CAH, and have a most MERRY day!!! {{{HUGS}}}
