Been watching the weather here...we're under a Winter Storm Watch starting at 12 am tonight until late Monday night. It says there is potential for heavy accumulation. I hate when it says that and it doesn't even give you a inches. Anyway, it's supposed to start out with heavy snow, then change over to sleet, then to freezing rain. It sounds like the sleet won't be until I'm home from work. Fingers crossed. I guess we'll see!

good afternoon everyone...anyone watching a christmas movie today...i"m watching the polar express....what are you guys watching?.....:sparkle:

I am watching TLC right now. My kids love Polar Express. I am sure we will end up watching something on Disney Jr. later on here. They are downstairs playing with my DH right now. They sound like they're enjoying themselves!

Thanks! You stay safe as well. How is everyone doing in your family?

You are being way too hard on yourself regarding your writing. I've read your blog posts and the pieces you did for The Real Thanksgiving site - you are a good writer! You are averaging 90 percent, btw - that is excellent!
Gotta run to an appointment shortly, but
Note to CM3: Write for yourself, and write for US. Stop worrying about whether it's "good" or not. That's up to the reader, not to some teacher who never met you. Don't worry about parts of speech or a "style." Be yourself. Don't let the class ruin you!

Ditto on what Meceka and MerryCarey said! Listen to them Caninemom!!! =)

Is everyone getting ready for Easter? I went and got my shopping done last week. I am just waiting for the rest of the kids stuff to arrive via shipment from Target. They're excited, as usual. I think for tomorrow, since it will be St. Patty's Day, I am going to do Lucky Charms, green eggs, and green milk for breakfast. I want to make it festive.
I make the grandkids green eggs every year for St. Paddys Day! This year I won't be able to, they are out of town at the beach. I am sure that is a lot more fun than sitting at grandma's having green eggs! =)
I even worry when I have to be away from my furkids for any reason. Nobody can care for them the way I do.....
I am THE SAME WAY! I have the most difficult time planning a vacation all due to worrying about my fur babies. My adult son is here and does take care of them but I feel so lost without them especially when it's time to go to sleep, I want them with me. When Wayne and I took the road trip up to Maryland and New York City I took my dogs with me. I felt so relaxed having my babies with me. Cats usually do well being home and don't do too well on road trips so I am okay with that. Like I said, my adult son is home with them and my parents stop by everyday sometimes a few times a day to make sure they are all okay. We have a house full of people keeping an eye on things. I almost cancelled my trip to Houston last year to see Paul McCartney when Chico got sick with his heart. The medication worked so well that I did go and he was taken good care of. I still WORRY THOUGH!!! It doesn't help much either that Chico has this special bond with me more than anyone else and I know he stresses a little when I am away, even if I go outside to take the trash out!!! lol
I watch it every now and then, too.
Groovy!!! :D

Thank you for telling me I'm a normal mom Christmas-A-Holic, that makes me feel better. My kids think I'm crazy!
Here is something funny about my son. For his 21st birthday his friends wanted to take him out drinking at the clubs. We invited him to take him out to dinner. He chose to go to dinner with his "dorky" parents! Ha ha! I thought it would be the normal thing to do is go use your ID now that you're 21 but he said he is not in the least bit interested. If they hit the clubs I would be calling a cab for them all!!!

I think my daughter don't mind the way I am because she is a parent now and understands. When she was younger she probably didn't care too much about me checking on her often. She now thanks me for how I am! Your kids will too someday! =)

When I said this morning about making the green eggs, they decided they just wanted the Lucky Charms, which sort of bummed me out. That's nothing special because they like to eat those all the time - it's pretty much they're favorite cereal. Oh well! Maybe they'll decide they want the eggs some other day!

I went for my breast doctor appointment on Friday. I told him about all the pain that I am still having, SOOO, we will do a bone scan next Thursday to make sure the cancer is not back as bone cancer. Sorry to be such a bummer, my Christmas friends.

Hoping with all my heart that your scan is clean ... but whatever may happen, you're ahead of the curve, 'cause your support system is here and ready for action. Keep strong.

They are doing okay. My niece here is going to be pretty bummed tomorrow when she has to do the clean out before her scopes on Tuesday though.

I'm about to put on a Christas movie, get out my Christmas calendar, and start setting some dates and goals. (I gotta do something to handle this crisis.)

Praying for you as well, Seawaters. We're here for you. Please keep us updated.

Praying for you, Seawaters!

Now I have another movie to watch! Tom Hanks is our former school secretary's first cousin! She told me he is just as nice in person as he is portrayed on the screen.
Very cool!
The Brady Bunch is one of my guilty pleasures, I own seasons 1 & 2 on DVD. cheesy
Another groovy one in our "MMC Bunch"!!!
Pudding, yougurt, cookies, donuts, string cheese, lunchables, chocolate milk, and ice cream. That's why I hate taking my niece's to the store.
Kids, kids, kids! =)
I also decided that I should do one of the special posts to welcome in the season this year and started writing it back in January. Then I didn't like the direction that it started going so I abandoned it for a few days to rethink my inspiration. 2 months later I haven't even opened up the file again. So I need to get back on it.

Go for it! You're a great writer!

I promise I'll finish it and post it. Most likely it's going to be as a blog post though.

We'll be watching for it!

I've been such a lazy blogger. I've had a blog post in the back of my head for the better part of three years that I haven't drafted YET. By the time I get through the workday and things that have to be done, I don't have enough mental energy left to write the way I feel it should be done. In the back of my head I think that when I'm retired, I'll blog or write some other way, but who knows.

Hey! Carl has informed me in honor of St. Patricks Day, he has had all the fired twinkies frosted green, and since he's overstocked, the first THREE are complimentary.
Be sure and stop by today for an impromptu treat.
(Green tea will also be served, of course.)

Love the green! Will be by later for some of Carl's goodies!

I wish I could bring my yorkies with us, I always see so many dogs at the parade. But they would be too scared. They look so cute today with their green bows.

If you have the chance, we'd love to see a photo of the Yorkies in their perky green bows!

Thanks to everyone for your kind words and prayers for my grandson. He really had us scared! All is good now and he is at the beach with his family. My daughter has been sending pictures and he looks healthy and happy!

Wayne and I had a wonderful day yesterday. We took the bikes to the lake for the first time. We have an odometer hooked up to the bike and rode 8 miles. We stopped here and there for a bite to eat, drink, relax, look at ducks and just soak up the atmosphere. My legs held up just fine, no soreness or anything but we both were wiped out afterward. It was a good day and can't wait to do it again!

I was trying to make every attempt to catch up on all the post but looking at the clock I am running out of time and got to get going. I am going to make Wayne and I some green eggs for St. Paddy's Day!

Have a Merry Day my Christmas Friends!!!

I will be praying for her. That is a lot to go through so young. My sister had to go through doing scopes when she was in her teens and I can't imagine having to do that so young. I'll be thinking of her. Keep us updated on everyone's progress.
