Cute polar bears, CM3. Good thinking on the diet. I wouldn't want to be dieting for a wedding. I have to go to the dentist, too. I should have gone a long time ago, but the dentist I used to go to moved and the one I went to after him was HORRIBLE. I hate going to the dentist anyway, so a bad one makes it worse for me. A new Morman dentist moved to town, so I set up an appointment with him. We have quite a few Mormons here, and we have always had at least one Morman dentist. Finally, I get a Morman dentist again. Not sure why, but I have always preferred a Morman dentist. I think it is because of family values and being treated with respect, especially when I tell them what a scaredy cat I am!

Good evening, Christmas family

Wowsa am I beat !! The answer is yes. This getting up at 5 a.m. and typing is a trick this old dog is not quite adapting to. I don't have to do it that early, it is just that if I get up early and get done working by 2 or 3 in the afternoon there is so much more time for other stuff.

I am planning on going back on my diet the first weekend of May. I was going to do it in April but I don't want to be on a diet when my Goddaughter gets married, that just didn't make sense to me so I put off going back to Jenny Craig until the following weeked. I have regained pratically all of that 22 pounds again. Oh well. You win some, lose some (no pun intended) I guess.

Xmas - I feel so bad that you are sick. I am really praying you feel better. I posted a video in your Christmas Song A Day thread, I hope that is okay. I think it was Santa Claus Got Stuck In My Chimney by Ella Fitzgerald. I just love that song and her voice - Oh my !! She was amazing.

Tomorrow is my next to the last lesson for writing class. I am considering taking further classes, perhaps with The University Of Phoenix but it would depend on the cost. I am also considering checking into an English degree that they offer. Again, the cost may be too prohibitive so I will just have to see. The English class covers ALL forms of writing. That might actually be a good thing for me.

If that is too expensive, then I am going to sign up for a grammar refresher class through the same school which I am taking the writing class. I love school and I love learning.

Part of a filling in one of my teeth fell out well over a year ago and I never did anything about it since I do not have dental insurance. Now 15 months later the tooth is beginning to be very, very painful with hot and cold and kind of achy. I am going to have to do something soon. I am a real pansy about pain.

Wish is still doing great. We switched his food from Beneful Hearty Meals to a similar type of meal made by Racheal Ray. They look mighty tasty and they are 2% less protein which he needs because of his kidney disease. Yes, they ARE expensive but Wish is worth a gazillion more than they are worth. As long as he is eating and doing well, I don't care about the cost.

I hope all have a very Christmassy evening and big ((((Hugs)))) to all but ESPECIALLY to:

Thanks for the temporary filling info, CM3. After having gone through chemo and radiation, I have to be especially careful with teeth and bones.

I bet it was a nightmare !!! I cant even IMAGINE what it even costs to have a cleaning AND a filling replaced but I am going to have to. I ordered some temporary tooth filling stuff from Amazon.com. I didnt even know it existed !! I am going to try that until I get in to a dentist.....

You have a very good night too !! xo

I am sure everything is really fragile after chemo and radiation.....Hopefully they will get strong again !! xoxo

Tell me more about scanning coupon codes, CAH. I am really interested in this! Do you also save them on your phone?

I am actually just fine with my outdated phone and every time I was due for a new phone I would get the freebie with my plan with no frills. I have had no use for it but knew someday I would find a use for it. Now is the time I feel a need for it. I love being able to scan coupon codes since I am a coupon junky! It will save all the ink I use to print up coupons off of groupon and other sites. I also need it for our vacation even though that is a ways off. It might be another month before we make the big jump into technology so I am shopping around! =)

Oh that Carl! He must have come up with that word too???

Have fun on your last night at Subway, and good luck on your test tomorrow!

Good morning!
I am up and going over code lists again. I need occasional breaks so pop in here when I can. My shelf needs dusting. Hope you all have a great morning.

I have to do my last shift at Subway tonight, which does not leave me much time for study. Next test is tomorrow morning at 11am.

Enough chatter, back to the codes!

I just got a new phone two weeks ago. I LOVE your idea aobut the Christmas Blossoms thread. Until you mentioned it, I had not thought about using it for that. Thanks for the reminder, Ryan!

...
The main reason I want a smart phone: the MMC forums! I'm already looking forward to the Christmas Blossoms 2013 threat, and with a phone that has a camera, I can post all sorts of good Christmas finds...excited to go "hunting" for them in late September!

Good morning all. It is high school baseball day today. We have a doubleheader starting at 4. The snow has melted in the valleys but the mountains are still covered. A baseball field surrounded by snow covered moutains is an awesome sight.

We have had wonderful spring weather but warmer weather is coming for Easter weekend. We will be taking the 3 hour drive tomorrow evening to see my parents for Easter. There will be no snow there. I'm looking forward to the sunrise service where we will sing the old hymn "Christ the Lord is Risen Today!" It is a great time of celebrating the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Have a blessed day everyone.

Have a wonderful time at the doubleheader today!!

Happy Easter to you & your family, mgramsey!!

I'll let CAH answer that, but just wanted to let you know about two great apps that have to do with coupons/deals. Red Laser & Retail Me Not. You can find awesome deals on them!!

What amazed me about my new phone and new iPad was having Nook and Kindle on both of them! For some reason, it had never crossed my mind! And with Ryan mentioning using it for the Christmas Blossoms thread and with CAH mentioning using the phone for vacation pictures, it makes me glad I have it even more so!

All this talk about smartphones ... strange, I was giving that some thought earlier in the week. We both have basic cellphones (so old they don't even have cameras!), and I was wondering whether to get myself a smartphone when it's time for an upgrade. I had just convinced myself "no," partly because I'm not a "gotta be connected 24/7" type, and a data plan would double our monthly bill (not including the cost of the phone). Time will tell if it will reach the point where one needs a smartphone to function effectively in the everyday world ... years ago I thought I'd never need or want a PC or Internet access or a laptop or a cellphone or an e-reader or a tablet.

But I think the Pros far outweigh the Cons! I have noticed how wise you are to research the products you need to buy. See, you do the legwork for the rest of us, LOL!

Oh yeah! Something else to add about the need of an iPhone. You would not believe how many times Wayne and I are out and desperate for some information about what we are doing or where we are going. We would call my son or daughter to look up something online for us (this has been going on for years). We have done that while driving around town and even while we have traveled! At least we saved money on data by using them as our "data".

There's another reason to upgrade! They are not always available to go online for us.

I am trying to validate my reasons for doing this. I still don't want to have a higher monthly phone bill!!! (Now I am talking myself out of it again).

I am sure you are taking good care of your baby. Now take good care of yourself, too!

Good afternoon!
We are home again =)
My boy just have to take it easy for the next month,
so he can't do anything else than just relax...
So he is installed here in the living room in front of the TV...

Im so tired... And hungry, so we are going to order som pizzas...
{Don't feel like making dinner today...}

Hope YOU have a GREAT day! :hi:

good evening everyone...hope your all having a fantastic day...have you guys all bought your easter eggs for your loved ones???....:sparkle:

This is hilarious, Ryan. I laughed out loud on this one!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't have a smart phone. Here's how outdated my cell is: my grandma made fun of it. Yep, that's right. We were at a family event and I wanted to know the score of a game. My grandma said, "Just look it up on your phone." I showed her my phone and told her I couldn't and she actually chuckled as she handed me hers and said, "Oh honey, here, just use mine."

That's pretty bad when your own grandma "out techs" you.
