Wasn't able to get on before now---was doing a monster brochure at the office that will be continued on Monday. This brochure has been in the works for nearly two years!! The client just can't stop tinkering with it. This time it's full of questions about whether various commas, capitalization, plurals, etc. are correct. (Of course they are---I've been the proofreader from the beginning!) So I have to enter explanations for all of their questions ... frustrating. Got out a little early today, about 4:30. Tired and frustrated. A client had sent in cookies, ice cream, and cannolli, but I was too busy to even go look. Well, the Dairy Queen is open now, maybe we can go there tonight for a soft-serve.

The upcoming trip back home is weighing on my mind and making me moody, too. There are unhappy memories and emotions connected with it, even though I'm going for an ultimately positive purpose.

Thinking of you and hope things go better than you might have expected.

my son took this picture of our church this morning when we arrived for the Good Friday service.

You know what else this picture reminds me of, is when I was a child I use to see the long sunbeams come down from the sky I always use to believe those were escalators to heaven.

I just bought a book called "Have Yourself a Movie Little Christmas" it is a good book of reviews on Christmas movies, and some movies I never thought were Christmas movies. It has made me want to see some more movies.

That's awesome!! I love hearing about new Christmas movies to check out!

Good monring, my Christmas friends. Can you believe how quickly the Countdown is going? Amazing, truly amazing! For some reason, I woke up with quite a bit of pain this morning; and it is taking a long time to get on top of it. Not sure why! I am "Home Alone" again, but with the upcoming weekend, that won't last long. We had homemade spaghetti last night and are having fish sandwiches tonight. I am not sure what we will have tomorrow, but it will be butterfied leg of lamb for Easter. We will have smashed potatoes, roasted asparagus, regular salad, jello salad, and then Mississippi Mud Cake for dessert. The smashed potatoes are red potatoes cooked whole either stove-top or in the oven, then smashed down individually, sprinkled with butter and seasoning (parmesan, Emeril's original seasoning, rosemary, and other to-taste seasonings), and baked to a golden brown. It makes me hungry just typing this, LOL! I am glad my family loves good food! Oh, yeah, I almost forgot: homemade refrigerator rolls. Those are always a must!

I found a recipe for smashed potatoes last summer, I have been wanting to try them.

TGIF, right?!

I am just doing some housework, Adrian's friend Nate is coming tomorrow for the weekend. He is excited to see him, well we both are! We haven't seen him since our wedding, which will be 5 years this August. Nate is moving to Colorado soon, so it may be another few years before we see him again.

Tonight, we are going to go out for dinner to celebrate my birthday. We had to put it off because life has just been busy! But, I'm in the mood for Mexican tonight, and the place we are going to has great seafood. It should be a nice time!

Plus I am really tired.
Had a great time at our family dinner today.

All this talk of upgrading technology.. Hmm... Will I ever get rid of my VCR??? Still functions and so do all the 100's of VHS tapes I have so I will keep it along with my DVD player. We played an Easter VHS today, The Easter Beagle!

(Did I just open up a can of worms for a new conversation)!?

The Easter Beagle is on Sunday night at 7PM est. I miss some of VHS tapes, my VCR died a few years ago. I had stuff on VHS that has not been released on DVD. There is a store up here that has VHS tapes and the owner doesn't even charge you if you want them.

I have been fighting this a couple of days but I am hurting and in general not feeling well. My right shoulder on down to my lower back on my right side is really hurting. I could hardly sleep last night. I really haven't been well all week, started out with cold symptoms then this! I had the kids for 12 hours yesterday, when they left I fell in bed and left a sink full of dishes and laundry in the washer and dryer. I hate doing that but just didn't feel well.

Wayne came home after working overtime and cleaned up everything! I told him I would get it the next day but he told me to rest. I am thankful he did because I am still not well today but at least I had the kids for only half the day. My son helped out a lot, he cooked the kids breakfast this morning then cooked lunch for them. I got a couple of sweet guys in this house!!!

I did manage to get up for a little bit and dye Easter Eggs with the kids.

I hope you are feeling better, maybe you should get that checked out.

Oh I LOVE the Easter Beagle !!!!!! And I will not give up my VCR either !! I live in the stone age xo Sort of...

I am so far in the stone age my cellphone has a cord. (jk) My TV has a tube, and all my favorite music groups and singers are either broken up or dead. cheesy

Happy Good Friday everyone. It is so neat to think that, at the cross, Jesus paid our sin debt in full once and for all. Then on Easter Sunday we get to celebrate His resurrection and look forward to His return. Awesome stuff!

It is snowing a here. It is too warm to lay but it is still beauitiful coming down. We are soon leaving to drive down to spend Easter weekend with my parents.

Your Easter dinner plans sound great. Which restaurant will you go to? We have to wait until the plans for our kitchen are approved before we can even start on it. I will be so glad for Hubby to be finished!

Hi Seawaters! We will be going to dinner at a local Italian restaurant. My husband and I have been eating there for such a long time. We use to go there when we started dating, we were both teenagers. A long time ago! Thats so exciting that you are getting ready to do your kitchen too!

I felt that way for a long time, but I had over 100,000 of them from collecting from the mid-1980's through the late 90's. I kept all my favorite players and most valuable cards though, I probably have about 2,000 cards left now.
