When I read about Palmer flying out of the bedroom and hiding, I immediately thought, "Oh, boy, what has she done?" I thought she had done something that might have gotten her into trouble and was hiding about that, afraid she had been caught! LOL!

Good evening, snowflake!

I'm doing all right - thank you for asking! Mouse is snoring by my side - she has been very attentive the past few days - the sweetie! When I got home today, Palmer flew out of the bathroom and hid under my bed for an hour - poor girl was petrified. I'm not sure what scared her, but she is doing fine now.

How are you doing?

I'm rather concerned about this upcoming mess we have headed our way. If there is much more rain, my basement is going to flood. The seasonal creek has already overflowed - getting messy out back! Really hope there isn't any ice, too. Are you prepared? Stay safe!

Hugs back for you and Harlowe! {{{HUGS}}}

Stay Safe Meceka!!!!!! I'll pray that there isn't any flooding.

I am smiling at the picture you painted with words. So cute!

Good evening, MMC.

We had quite the series of thunderstorms roll through here earlier - knocked out my internet again. Palmer was watching from the windowsill for a bit. I now have a window to clean tomorrow - there are nose prints all over it. Every time I checked on her she was sitting still as a statue - sneaky cat! cheesy

Goodnight, MMC!

We are as prepared as we can be, I guess :/ It's supposed to start for us overnight, and last through Friday. They're saying snow, rain, sleet, icy roads, and possible power outages. I sure hope it's not that bad.

And we're supposed to drive down to see our parents this weekend..I hope we don't have to cancel.

The three of you better stay safe too!!!!!

Don't those two sound adorable? I sure hope you do not have to cancel your trip, and I pray traveling mercies for you.

Glad Palmer is ok now. Maybe a loud noise startled her?

Both Mouse & Palmer sound so sweet!!

I am doing ok, too, thanks.

Good luck with your basement. I pray there is no flooding.

That makes such a mess. My parents basement had some water coming in while they were in AZ, we think it was melting snow seeping in. My sister had to move all of their stuff in the utility room, and clean it up often. It molded pretty quick, so they've been cleaning it up with bleach & whatnot. Ugh.

Hope you guys stay safe & warm!! I'll be thinking of you. Xo

Hi everyone. It was beautiful out today but it was actually a little too warm for me. I put the air conditioner on this afternoon, the house was getting so hot.

I broke out all of the fans but didn't turn the A/C on yet. I'm hoping to make it through the month.

I haven't had that but based on other problems I've had with it, I would delete your MMC account off of Tapatalk and then resign into it again.

I checked my settings in Tapatalk, and couldn't find anything either, CS.

Good luck!

Made's advice sounds good, I was just going to say we should ask our resident techie!

Made, were you able to talk any sense into your neighbor? You are right that he might change his mind when he has to take off his shirt or go to the bathroom. He will probably really change his mind if he has to cough or sneeze!!! You are so good to those around you. Man, I wish I had a daughter who was not involved in a relationship!

Nope. He says they won't do anything if they find some broken ribs or a broken collarbone so he isn't going. He won't take pain meds so he'll just suffer through it.

I gave him one of mom's old slings to help keep his arm up and relieve some of the pressure on his shoulder and he said that helped some.

Any snacks (not snakes) planned? Can you believe about the package?

Snacks= Blue peeps that I got for 10 cents a box.

No. I was shocked earlier when I read that and teared up for you.

You stay safe, too!! xx

I want a tornado!!!!! It's been too long since I've seen one. I want it to stay in the cornfields of course and not go right through my apartments.

They do!

How's sweet Baby?

Thanks for thinking of us, Seawaters.
I am praying the roads & weather are good by then. I've been patiently waiting for my folks to come home, and I'm so excited to see them!!

Now I'm worried about you!!

It would be fascinating to see from afar, and if no one would get hurt. But since we can't have that guarantee, please just BE SAFE!!

About my package from Louanne, CM3: The title of this huge book is An Ideals Treasury of Christmas, a 2-in1 Christmas Collection. The first part is "Home for Christmas," and I want to share the first poem that introduces the first section.

Welcome Home

The snow is white and glistening;
The stars shine bright above.
I'm going home for Christmas
Home to those I love.

~~Gladys Billings Bratton

The second section is entitled "The Greatest Gift." One story from this section is entitled "A Gift from the Heart" by Norman Vincent Peale. With your permission (Can't you just hear Louanne saying that?) I want to share the last paragraph and insert CM3's name instead of the name of the person in the original story:

"Strange isn't it? A shy woman alone in a great impersonal city. You would think that nothing she could do would affect anyone. And yet, by trying to give away love, she brought the true Spirit of Christmas into our lives, the Spirit of selfless giving. That was Louanne's secret--and she shared it with us all."

Ryan, I think you and Sugar are right. She is right there with Saint Nicholas, drinking coffee after each glittery sip, saying, "Glitter! Drink up!"
That's a beautiful thought...thanks for sharing this personal gift with us!

I suggest cleaning a shotgun in your lap while sitting in a rocking chair on the front porch, preferably when it's time for the boy to arrive.

My Dad said that an accidental discharge of the weapon is a real attention getter, too!

Dang right that's enough with the kissing, you little punk boys. But she has me and her big brother to look out for her.

Man, oh man.....

I didn't get to read all the posts because I've got to head to bed

but....

I've seen a lot of great things and really touching tributes over the past few days...I just wanted to point out that, in my opinion, changing her title to Christmas Angel was the best, most fitting gesture I've ever seen....when Ryan pointed that out....I stopped and went to look....touching...very touching.....

Nice touch of class from a classy group....

Best board on the net....hands down...
