good morning to all my friends. last nights storms didn't end up getting to bad in my area. Which was nice, for a change. so is everyone ready for the weekend? This weekend i plan to watch lots of movies. Plan to mix it up one Horror movie, than a Christmas movie, than back to horror and Christmas and keep that little light and dark marathon go through out the weekend.

We are in a flood zone and have had water in our basement. We panic when we hear the pump go on, sometimes it just can't keep up. So happy to hear nothing has been damaged!

The funeral was SRO with about 350-400 people. The food afterwards was wonderful: Portuguese sopas, wonderful potato salad (always with sopas), lots of other salads, and tons of dessert. Frank was a farmer and he also made wine, so there was lots of what he and others called "Portagee diesel," with the "g" being pronounced like in the word "go." We were there for almost four hours for both the funeral and the luncheon. As we went through the funeral Mass, I (in my mind) used CM3's name along with Frank's. It was really a touching ceremony.

Just wanted to say good night to all of you...not much new to report on my end.
Looking forward to a quiet weekend with only a small celebration to attend tomorrow for my niece's daughter turning 5.
I like quiet weekends!

The man whose funeral we attended earlier today would bid on his own wine in the raffles and then donate it back to make even more money. He will be missed!

Well I wasn't supposed to get my niece's until about 8pm tonight but I got a call around 5 that my BIL had to work late so I had to go out and take my niece's to their school's carnival. Now I'm really exhausted!!!!

Adrian says we're still going to make the trip this weekend, please keep us in your thoughts. We are taking a two lane highway, it's pretty well traveled, so hopefully we will be fine. It's those areas that the sun doesn't hit that I worry about being slick.

I better get some things done here before I have to start packing, and making dinner.

Thanks Snowflake. I don't mind when my oldest goes with her friends, but I think 16 is too young. She's alright though, I've been texting her. They are coming back soon, they're taking a 10:00 train home.

Time for sleepy.

When I wake up in the morning, my oldest will be an 8 year old. It seems like just yesterday I met him when he came into the world. My boys are growing so quickly.
