Jekyll Island is so beautiful. I used to live about a mile from there. Have fun working on the Camaro!

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

It was supposed to rain some more today, but the sun is glaring on my monitor right now. Oh well, I was hoping the rain would wash away more of this awful, hateful pollen.

Nancy and the kids are going to Jekyll Island tomorrow with our niece and her kids. I think my brother Jim and I will work on the Camaro. I'm about ready to see some real progress. The body work will slow us down, though. It doesn't need a LOT of body work, but it has to be done perfectly, or it will be noticeable in the new paint. I'm not good at fine details. I guess I gotta give it the old college try, though.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

This is one puppy that really wants to be outside on the deck...

But not so much so that she'll go out while it's sleeting!

Awww shes a cutie pie. It has been raining here all day long and its still coming down. We only went for one walk early this morning before the rain started. Hope we can make up for it tomorrow.

The funeral was SRO with about 350-400 people. The food afterwards was wonderful: Portuguese sopas, wonderful potato salad (always with sopas), lots of other salads, and tons of dessert. Frank was a farmer and he also made wine, so there was lots of what he and others called "Portagee diesel," with the "g" being pronounced like in the word "go." We were there for almost four hours for both the funeral and the luncheon. As we went through the funeral Mass, I (in my mind) used CM3's name along with Frank's. It was really a touching ceremony.

I'm sorry about your friend, Seawaters. I will pray for those left behind. {{{HUGS}}}

What wonderful plans you have, Minta. Have fun!

Good afternoon gang ... its cold and rainy, it has been raining all day and excpected to last until this even. Thinking grill cheese and tomato soup will in order for dinner tonight.

Kids are suppose to have opening day for little league tomorow but it may get pushed off until Sunday, depending on the fields. Either way the kids and I will be baking cookies this weekend. I am going to make my molasses drop cookies since I didnt get a chance to make them at Christmas time and the kids have yet to decide on the other cookie.

This weather just makes me wat to curl up on sofa under a nice warm blanket and watch a christmas movie... humm maybe tonight.

Hope everyone has a nice day and stay safe in this weather.

Stay safe, Snowflake, and have fun, too!

Hey friends,

TGIF!!

How is your day going?

The snow is still coming down, the roads are so messy & slick. Grrr.

This is almost mid April, correct?!

Adrian says we're still going to make the trip this weekend, please keep us in your thoughts. We are taking a two lane highway, it's pretty well traveled, so hopefully we will be fine. It's those areas that the sun doesn't hit that I worry about being slick.

I better get some things done here before I have to start packing, and making dinner.

Extra prayers being sent up for Wish, Clancy, Hermione, Smokey, and Lily. Xo

Hello everyone. Such a dreary day, the rain will not stop. On the bright side, I recieved an order that I placed with Bronners. It was nice to open something Christmassy. I am alone at the moment, the girls are out and my husband is still working. Can't relax though, my 16 year old went in to the city even after I told her I didn't want her to go. She is with a big group of friends but I still don't like it. I guess I could use the time alone to figure out what her punishment will be!

Power food and a great show!

So, onwards and upwards Christmas peoples!!

It's Friday which is always good news but a Friday after a particularly yucky week is very very welcome

I spent my 2nd day off (remember how to say "long weekend"!!!!) by actually doing very little at all! I headed back to the store and stocked up on really important stuff like "marshmallows" and "white chocolate".

My plan for tomorrow is to make 1) Apple Pie 2) Rice Krispie squares 3) White chocolate and cranberry cookies although not necessarily in that order!!!

Tonight it's all about giving Cracker a bath then letting him dripdry in front of Nashville!!!!

Enjoy your Friday!!

I'm planning on relaxing and watch some Dr. Who on Netflix tonight, then working on the Camaro tomorrow.

You guys have a great weekend!

Thank you!

I haven't seen the "new" series of Doctor Who in recent years. I was nuts about Tom Baker when I was in college, and met him briefly at a convention. His unabridged reading of "A Christmas Carol" is my favorite---it was released last year.

We're just resting up before our big day tomorrow. During the service I will be thinking of Louanne as well as my dad. Hoping it will bring me comfort for both of them.

Thinking of all of you, of course, and big warm group hugs. :-)

We have a dinner at the Elks tonight to raise money for kids with special needs, especially kids with cerebral palsy. Because of Lily, my granddaughter, this is where I like to "spend my money." The man whose funeral we attended earlier today would bid on his own wine in the raffles and then donate it back to make even more money. He will be missed!

My parents do the same thing, they never let us pay when we go out together. I feel bad that they pay for my whole family, but they insist.
