Thanks shellie for the updates! I can't imagine how hard it will be for her sister. I can relate to the furbabies looking at the door for her to come back it breaks my heart because Brandi tells me when I go away for the weekend Snowball will look at the door and even sleep at the front door until I come back as apposed to sleeping on our bed. I can't imagine how hard it will be for her family at Christmas too...It will be hard for us here too I think. We will make the best of it though as she would want us too!

Your welcome . i can relate to that as well . scooby jumps on on teh sofe and sits on the top of it and looks out the window, he knows the sound of the jeep lol
Its so nice to come home and see a wagging tag ~}

Shes not even thinking about christmas yet, she says she cant , i dont no either how she gonna do as they have at the same tradition near 30 years, so yip its gonna be a hard one alright.will keep asking about lou,s furbabies every day or two. and always keep you,s updated.

Just stopping by for a sec, I have missed a few days on here and don't have time to read anything, sorry!

Wayne and I packed a lunch and went for a 6 mile bike ride at the lake yesterday. It was beautiful there. We soak up the atmosphere looking at the ducks, birds, everyone walking their dogs and more. We even stopped by the dog park to watch all the dogs play. It was so much fun!

I have a busy day ahead and hope you all are doing okay!

Sounds like a nice day sometimes the simple things in life are the best

Good morning my Christmas Family. It's a lazy morning here. Just about ready to go play in the backyard. Christmas is back in full swing in my brain as I'm sure the rest of you. Well better get going! Have a merry day!

Wow in the last hour I have gone back what seems like 200 pages or more and read Louann's last post then when jeff made the announcement on through Thursday when I found out the tragic news. And now I have the tissues out again...seriously im not a crier usually but after reading everyone's posts and how nice they were I could not help but shed a tear or two. At least we have each other the walk together through this. I have been here for almost 3 years and this is the first time I have lost someone online and I hope it's the last! I told brandi if anything happens to me to log on and tell yall so you won't think I just disappeared..having said that I plan on being here at mmc 30 more years and 30 Christmasas. Okay our company is here I hope everyone has a good afternoon!!!!

Oh wow, that's pretty wild with all that ice coming done, please be careful in it...

Good morning everyone on this beautiful Sunday morning...
I saw on the weather channel, that today's temps are supposed to get up near 70 degrees, and because it's been so suddenly warm I have to cut the grass today; yuck! I saw a snake in the road yesterday, it was a 4 foot long black snake (mannn , I hate those things...) so, that tells me, if you see them out and about, you know it's getting warm outside and summer is just around the corner.

We took our Zach and 5 of his friends out to dinner last night and treated them. His countdown is down to about 8 days now, untill he ships out to the Air Force bootcamp at Lackland AFB, Texas. We are trying to spend as much time as we can with him before he goes away for awhile. He went out and got his hair cut really short yesterday, and he asked me if I thought it was short enough for bootcamp, I laughed and told him that it didn't matter how short he cut it, that they were going to buzz his head like a peach anyhow..lol

He's starting to get nervous, but I told him to take one day at a time and before he knew it, he would be counting how many days he had left... We're going to miss him dearly, this will be the first time that he has ever left home for an extended period....

I hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy their day, i have alot of paperwork and computer work to do this morning before I head outside, so I'll be here checking in from time to time!

what a lovely day you had! Still to chilly here for that, but I plan to get a bike this summer and get started again!
Hope you have a nice Sunday.

when I took this, the day after the ice storm, the ice was already off the trees thanks to a steady rain we had for a few hours.
As of now there are still a large amount of people with the power still off.

Just a update on louannes furbabies
was taking to her sister and her words not mine

"I spoke with Dane today. He said Wishbone is doing very well. Said he was anxious to eat and had eaten all the food that was given to him today.

He also said her other furbabies seem less depressed than they were. Although, they still look to the door to see when she will come home.

You have my permission to pass on any info about Louann's furchildren
"

So thats good news i always ask if its ok to pass on info

Thanks for the update, Shellie.

I did that too with looking at her last posts, it has been a lot harder going through all the private messages from her. I have only gone through half of them I get very teary eyed reading them.

We've been doing quite a bit of stuff for the Elks this week, so I wanted to let you know that we should be in Indy in July 2015, God willing. If possible, let's meet up!!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a warm and windy day here with a high of 75. It also looks like the rain is going to hold off until tomorrow. So maybe I can let my niece's run around outside for awhile. We are also going to run to the grocery store. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I told Hubby the same thing, Dawg. I bought a "planner-type" notebook entitled "What My Family Should Know." That way, he will know who and what is important to me so people can be notified. When we are grieving, we don't always know or remember who should be contacted.

ahh,Lackland AFB the memories...well at least he is going in the Spring so temps should not be horrendous like they are in July when I was there in 1993...he will be fine though...like you said One day at a time!

I am sure you are so proud of Zach. You are right about taking one day at a time. When my son signed up and left for the Army, that was one of the hardest days of my life. The loneliness was almost unbearable. It ended up a fiasco, though, and Kane eventually came home: He graduated when he was 17, so I had to sign paperwork for him to enter the service. He left for boot camp. They lost ALL his paperwork. They kept him in San Franciso--no money, only the clothes on his back, and hoped they would find the paperwork so they could process him through. No luck. But I was FURIOUS that he was alone with NOTHING, and they did not even inform me. He was finally allowed to call me and I sent him money so he could eat and buy some underwear. They finally sent him home and wanted me to re-sign the papers. I told them NO WAY. If they treated him like that before he was even sworn in, I could only imagine what they would do afterwards.

I was just thinking about him yesterday. Tell him we said goodluck at bootcamp!!!!

We have missed only a few national conventions since we have been in the organization. Indy is definitely in our plans. We plan on driving back there and then continuing to NC after the convention is over. Let's start planning now!
