Holy Moly!!! The folks at Weinstein & Company just informed me that they confirmed a sit down interview for me with DAVID LETTERMAN on Monday June 10th with a possible performance afterwards to promote TWENTY FEET FROM STARDOM!!!! This will be my first time EVER sitting on the couch with Dave and as you all know I've appeared on his show for 26 years in a row singing "(Christmas Baby) Please Come Home". I'm actually a lil nervous but VERY excited and it's not even Christmas!!!! LOL

Sounds like you had fun and got to see a little of mother nature... As soon as I am recovered from the kness surgery, I will be out and about myself as well.... Gotta loose some of the winter blanket that sort of gathers around the middle........:lol:

Man, he is such a hard worker--to work all day and then come home to work even more!

Good evening! I just got back from walking the dogs. It is starting to drizzle out now but the rain is supposed to be gone by morning. Two of my girls are doing homework and one is working. My daughter called me from her job earlier and told me the managers want to train her to be a key holder. She sounded excited, said there will be a two dollar per hour raise. She will fill me in on the details later. And my husband got home from work a little while ago and is working in the living room tonight. We had a mirrored wall that he decided he didn't want anymore so he took it down. I had to hide in my room with the animals for a little bit because it was kind if noisy and they were scared. Anyway I hear the vacuum so he should be finished soon. He said he will start hanging sheetrock tomorrow night. That will make me happy. All I have seen him do lately is demolish things!

Christmasstar, if I had known earlier ... I have Hershey kisses here that I could have shared, or a nice chocolate orange! Well, maybe the next time you get a chocolate craving and find the cupboard bare.

Some people are planning to wear Boston-related apparel tomorrow as a token of support, and my office is joining in, so I will probably wear a Red Sox t-shirt tomorrow. I feel so awful for one of my co-workers. She wasn't far from one of the bombs on Monday. She wasn't hurt, but she was so shaken and upset that she couldn't come to work for two days. She came in today but left around 3p.m. She hasn't slept well because she sees the whole scene again when she closes her eyes. She says she will be fine, though. But what a horrible experience, even though she came through it safely, except for being stiff and sore from running and tension.

Praying for the family of the officer killed at MIT and for everyone else involved in the chase, firefight, and situation in Watertown tonight.

We are under a severe thunderstorm watch, on the way home it was raining so hard I could hardly see where I was going. It is stopped right now, but there is more to come.

Thanks for your kind thoughts for our friends. Yet another one is facing death from cancer. He is my husband's age and is not expected to live much longer. That will make five friends in the past two weeks. I hate cancer!

We have a busy weekend planned. Friday evening we will go to the Elks Lodge for hors d'ouevres, and on Saturday, we have a Celebration of Life for one friend who passed away this week, and that evening we have an 80th birthday party for one of our Italian (Sicilian) friends. We had T-shirts made for him and his wife that says, "Property of the LaBarbera Family." He is cooking homemade ravs (ravioli) with his special sauce, homemade spachetti (sauce and noodles) and homemade Italian sausage. We will also have spumoni and biscotti, which I LOVE!

What A week. it has been so many lifes lost and so many injured
Was watching a vidio last night of the texus explosion real scary stuff

My brother has went to work in aberdeen in scotland and he loves it was going for 3 weeks and then one week home but he said now hes staying to july ... his 1st grandchild is due in may and he says hes not coming home for it so the daughter is not to happy about it she was on the phone last night crying ot me about it.
But we have been taking and we know his ex wife who left him for another man will have him cleaned, for he is tara soft and he will be killing himself working and she will have some excuse to borrow money of him.

(These twin Milestones are getting perilously close!)

The weather is still fine and should be for one more day, assuming we don't get the severe weather that we have a slight chance of.
Then, it cools off back into the 60's for tomorrow through Tuesday.
We are at 68 degrees here, currently.

Both of our offices are closed today and the MBTA is shut down while they track down the other bomber. (I have to work fro home today, though, even though the office is closed.) Didn't know about this until we woke up this morning.
