Good evening,

We had a busy day, we went on a 3 mile hike today around Lunden Pond and up Peaked Mountain. My legs are feeling it but the boys did a great job, I got some great pictures I will post soon enough. We saw snakes, tadpoles, salamanders, and hawks, nothing cute and cuddly though. Watching the Sox now, and relaxing.

I'll be hanging around all evening. ttyl

Sounds wonderful!

If I don't get back on here later, you all have a goodnight! :-)

Goodnight Snowflake and HomemakinGirl!!!!!!!

Christmasstar, if I had known earlier ... I have Hershey kisses here that I could have shared, or a nice chocolate orange! Well, maybe the next time you get a chocolate craving and find the cupboard bare.

Some people are planning to wear Boston-related apparel tomorrow as a token of support, and my office is joining in, so I will probably wear a Red Sox t-shirt tomorrow. I feel so awful for one of my co-workers. She wasn't far from one of the bombs on Monday. She wasn't hurt, but she was so shaken and upset that she couldn't come to work for two days. She came in today but left around 3p.m. She hasn't slept well because she sees the whole scene again when she closes her eyes. She says she will be fine, though. But what a horrible experience, even though she came through it safely, except for being stiff and sore from running and tension.

God bless her. How terrifying that must have been, hard to imagine.
She is in my thoughts & prayers.

And with this post, Crown is poster #16,000!!! For their efforts, they win a poster (!!!) of the Christmas kind with a "tear-off" number sheet to help them keep track of the count!

Good Morning, Fantastic Folks!

I see everyone has survived 'Pines Day and has returned to read yet another count figure:
Days to the Season: 209
Days to Christmas Day: 251
And there you have it -- SINGLE DIGITS to the 200-day Season Window.
And ONE WEEK from tomorrow we reach the 1/3 Christmas Day Milestone.
Starting to close in there, Guys!

Great weather again yesterday with plenty of sun and no rain, coupled with warm temps.
The pollen returned, but wasn't bad.
We will see what today brings.
Currently, our back door thermometer reads 63 degrees under partly cloudy skies.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everyone.
And enjoy the downhill coast to the Weekend!

Scary days were in store for me too when each of my four kids got their licenses.

Thanks for your kind thoughts for our friends. Yet another one is facing death from cancer. He is my husband's age and is not expected to live much longer. That will make five friends in the past two weeks. I hate cancer!

Our cat does not like going out at all, so we are in and out like a flash. You have to take care of those babies. They mean so much to us!

Homemakingirl, my daughter just got her license yesterday. she failed the driving test the 1st x. it's so scary to think my baby is driving now. good luck to your daughter.

made, the accident in Waco is terrible. I am praying for them all.

trying to make this a short post so I can get it posted. thanks y'all for the kind posts about me being back. I missed y'all terribly.

Seawaters, I am sorry for the loss of your friend. I pray the family & friends find peace.

Snowflake, Daisy goes to the groomers on Friday. she's such a nervous Nellie when I take her. I wish we had a mobile groomer. I try to pick her up as soon as possible so she doesn't have to stay longer than necessary.

I love his Michael Jackson songs! They really make me laugh.

He did a GREAT job! Tell him congratulations!

Good Thursday afternoon everyone. Hope all stay safe from the storms in the midwest. Not much going on here. High School baseball is back after last week's spring break. We lost Tuesday and play again Friday.

I believe I said before, my son a HS junior, plays and has covered high school baseball for our weekly newspaper for the last 3 years. Since there were no games last week, he was asked to write about how the county's middle school baseball team's season was going. Our newspaper is now partially available online so please excuse me for boasting but here is a link to his latest article;

http://www.grahamstar.com/articles/2013/04/18/sports/doc516ffe608a168728993367.txt

He loves baseball and wants to be a writer so it is good experience to have to write a weekly article and meet a deadline.

I wanted to share with all my friends at MMC. Have a blessed day everyone.

It's Snowing!!!!! ❄❄❄

Ok, I really am going to bed now!!

Goodnight!!

We have a busy weekend planned. Friday evening we will go to the Elks Lodge for hors d'ouevres, and on Saturday, we have a Celebration of Life for one friend who passed away this week, and that evening we have an 80th birthday party for one of our Italian (Sicilian) friends. We had T-shirts made for him and his wife that says, "Property of the LaBarbera Family." He is cooking homemade ravs (ravioli) with his special sauce, homemade spachetti (sauce and noodles) and homemade Italian sausage. We will also have spumoni and biscotti, which I LOVE!
