Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Things are back to normal: Nancy feels better, the kids are in school and I'm at my desk with a strong cup of coffee. I really hate that I didn't get to play with the guys Saturday night, but family comes first. My mom and my brother called me from the park while the guys were playing (they had our kids), and I could hear the band in the background. They were doing pretty good, they just needed another guitar LOL!

I hope I can get a few things done on the Camaro this week. I would have sworn we'd be finished with the car by now, but we're pretty close to cranking it now.

Listen guys, I am having some health issues, joint pain & weakness. I have missed about 10 days of work since January.
went to doc this a.m., running tests & blood work.

My boss decided she had to let me go. Just got the call 30 minutes ago. 10 years there! I understand her issues w/ my absence. it falls on the rest of the crew & that's not fair. she was very sweet about it. she said it will be said that I have health issues I needed to address. nothing negative will be said to coworkers or customers.

Hubby & I had discussed my working already & had decided if it worked out over the next 2 months, I should quit. (financially speaking)

my boss & I are friends also so I know it wasn't easy for her. I love her very much! she had no objection to my filing for unemployment & said she would not give any negative feedback there either.

please pray for me, this is hard!

Good morning! About to leave to take sister to Airport....She had such a short visit..but a great one too, after that I will go into work a few hours.The weather is couldy and windy and cool. Anyhow hope everyone has a good day!

I am so sorry to hear this. Is it not illegal to fire someone for health issues?
she would also owe you severance pay, one week for each year worked is what is paid here. Of course your laws may be different than ours.
Praying you feel better soon and you get everything worked out.

Harbor Freight is a great store. We have one here in Savannah, but Nancy won't let me spend much time there, for some reason.

One weekend away and already I'm so far behind that I can't catch up...Congrats, Happy Birthday, Anniversary, Best wishes, my condolences, all the best to any and all who had "events" that I may have missed...Between work and home, I can't keep up but I'm not stopping, I'll read what I can, post when I can, celebrate when I can and carry the MMC spirit and all of you in my heart as I go through my day.

We're about done with our home improvements but some of them have caused some drainage issues in the yard...It's always something...We'll work to get that fixed...And our fireplace is working, there was a chill in the air! Now all we need to do is crank up a Christmas movie on the newly mounted TV and it will be home!:yahoo:
