I have been busy with chores all day. My granddaughter was eager to help so I am giving her small task to tackle. We got the music going and having fun while we are at it.

Now I need to finish this up and do SOMEONE'S dishes since they threatened to ground me! :lol:

I am slowly catching up, but did you ever get an explanation?

So I went to the hair salon this morning and my hairdresser didn't show up for work today. It would have been nice if someone called and told me to not come in. Unbelievable. Anyway, I ran some errands while I was out and now I'm going to walk the dogs again. I hope everyone is having a great day so far!!!

Quick update- Now they are saying it wasn't a stroke yesterday for mom. The mri came back clear expect for the spot from the first stroke. The Doppler study on the veins in her neck was also good. So now we are waiting on them to do the echo cardiogram and for the doctor to come back in around noon.

Good to hear that it wasn't a stroke after all ... hope they can figure out what's actually going on.

Good afternoon,

Just sitting here enjoying the day hoping the clouds open up soon. It is only in the low 40's and raw and JP has baseball practice, I don't really want to sit on the cold aluminum bleachers in a fine misty rain. The first two practices were days just like today, it wasn't very comfortable. I was watching the movie "The Benchwarmers" earlier and I nearly ate a whole box of Nerds candy, the king size box! I feel disgusting now, after having so much candy, but I still want to make some snickerdoodles for the boys and my wife.

Has anyone ever seen the Kevin James movie Here Comes the Boom? It's been a long time since I've laughed out loud at a movie, but this one did it.

I highly recommend this movie, not only for the funny stuff, but also for a great moral. A truly wonderful movie!

Her husband had surgery on his hand. Obviously I understand her not being there and it is perfectly fine with me that I had to reschedule. But the girls in the salon had my number and should have called to let me know before I drove all the way there.

watching Pawn Stars right now...I love those shows!!!

I enjoy those, too, and they're on so often that it must look to Mr. like every time I turn on the TV I'm watching them! He's been buying me the DVDs for Christmas, too, so if they ever cancel the show, I'm all set.

It's been slammin' at the office this week. I was fried when I got home yesterday and almost lay down for a nap, but I had to fold laundry and get some other things done instead. No time to breathe today until about 1:45---then I took my lunch, found an unoccupied room (I usually eat at my desk, but today I wanted to get away from there) to eat and read a little, then took a walk around the block. I'm still tired, but at least I got a mental break. Just the same, I'd be happy to lie down on the floor and take a nap if it wouldn't look so ridiculous. (We have an open office---no cubicles.)

We recently got a DVD box set of "The Two Ronnies," a British comedy-variety show that Mr. and I saw occasionally on PBS a couple (ahem) decades ago. We've been watching one or two episodes every day that we have the time. Something to look forward to after a busy workday---laughing with my Mr.!

Well I'm home!! I have the boys here and all is okay for now...I am so sleepy my eyes are actually closing when I am standing up and walking...what is that called??Oh the Morphine shuffle!! No really I have not taken anything at all(although now I think of it I do have some happy pills I got after my last outpatient surgery in Janurary) the Dr. gave me like 100 I guess he thought I would need them but I only took a handful since I healed kind of fast...well the bottom line is I have to stay up until at least 400 when wife gets home. ETA: wife just called and wants me to peel potatos for dinner...well I better go do that!!! have a nice drive home from work everyone!
