Hey everyone! we are having stuffed chicken with mushrooms and some kind of soup in the middle. This is something we so should have had in a Friday or sat night. I just got a chance to sit down...we are also having scalloped potatoes. She tells me to get off the laptop with my Christmas friends!lol I tell her about everyone here so she kind of knows yall through me...like when Louann died she was just upset as me. She don't want me to tell yall that our dog snowball a 125 pound mastiff bulldog sleeps in our bed with us..like in between us. But that is something yall knew before she even met me.lol oh well I will check back in after dinner...have a good evening everyone!

Hi Brandi! Enjoy your dinner

hehe we need to start a club for everyone who gets up at 5am!! we could all log on and get everyone else up!!! but on second thought maybe not..not too many are in a good enough mood at 5 am I know sometimes it takes all I have to say good morning at 5am.lol!

I know what you mean there! It's a great idea, but...

My alarm is set for 5:05 b/c if I get up at 5:00, I have about 5 extra minutes to wait for my walking friends to get here after I'm ready to go...if I sleep til 5:05, I'm usually just ready when they are pulling up! That is 5 precious minutes of sleep at 5 am!

I love that Snowball sleeps in your bed, that is adorable! We let our yorkies sleep in our bed too. They are both under 10 pounds and I still wish the bed was bigger. I would love a king size one day.

I am SO tired today. I may just have to let the kids watch some Christmas movies so I can nap.
I hope you feel better & get some rest emski!

Don't forget to let me know how much it is. Would you prefer cashier's check, money order, regular check, or PayPal?
Girl, I already told you....the mailman said it was on the house, said they were going that way anyway.

You are right about that, but was this an emergency surgery, or did she know about it in advance? Did she give you a discount for the inconvenience and use of gas?

my thoughts exactly. I used to do hair & we don't play that!!!! That's not a very kosher thing to do to a customer!

I like those shows, too, but I like American Restoration even more!
I'm a die hard Duck Dynasty fan.

Well Hello there you precious peeps of mine!

waiting on an update from Made about his Mom. Sure hope they figure everything out.

Today is my Mama's 77th birthday!!! We decided to have her a dinner here @ my house on Sunday. she has to go to a funeral for her aunt, who was in her late 90's, tomorrow & Saturday in North Carolina. She's staying w/ my aunt over night Friday. Anyhoo, Sunday it is!

I gotta tell y'all, I'm really beginning to like this bit...not working. I can say my pain is much less. I have time to do what needs to be done here @ home w/out hurting as much. I miss everyone but still it's nice to not have to find someone to pick my daughter up @ school, I can take my time & cook better meals for my family, & not to mention, my house is getting thoroughly cleaned, YAAY!

try to be back in a bit!:!!

Okay, so they had 2 theories on mom. The Doctor at the hospital, thinks it was a compound migraine. She was complaining of a headache but it wasn't even as close to being as bad as the one's she gets when she gets a migraine. The second theory and the one I agree with, is that is was a TIA. So basically she was starting to have a stroke, but the clot in her brain broke up before it got bad enough to do any permanent damage. So it didn't show up on the MRI.

At the end of the day, they started her on a anti-clotting drug and sent her home. She is supposed to go see the neurologist in a week but she really doesn't like him. So she is going to call her family doctor and see if they can get her in some where else.

The other good news is that the MRA of the veins in her neck and the Echo Cardiogram of her heart were clean. So with are family history of heart disease and heart attacks. That is a good to know.

Well Dinner is FINALLY cooked and I am going to eat then put up the dishes in the dishwasher and head to bed. I am still very sleepy. Have a good night's sleep everyone and when we wake up it will be Friday!!!! gnight

News from our house. I went to the door to open it and get a package. I happened to glance down at the floor, and in the corner there was a dead bat. We have no idea how it got there, but we have a STRONG feeling that the cat brought it in as a gift to us. She has been known to do that in years past, each time the animal control officer telling us that the cat probably did not actually "catch" the bats but probably found it. Right about the fifth time, animal control accepted the fact that our cat probably DID catch the bats. She had a habit of somehow getting onto our roof, and we think she swatted them and "caught" them after she stunned them. Anyway, the officer today did not even look at the bat (Hubby had put it into the trash can out back) and said the trash was the best place for it. Since we have had cases of West Nile virus in our area each year for several years, I am always cautious, especially because of the deaths of several people with West Nile virus and the death of a young man (a 20-something "kid") from the bite of a rabid bat; and I take the threat of bats very seriously. Also, after having gone through chemo and radiation within the past several months, I am cautious of ANY illness or threat of germs and/or viruses due to my lowered immune system. I was inside the house working on my stuff and the officer left without the bat. He had told Hubby that the county was "out of money" and could not afford the testing ($50) that would need to be done to find out about the bat. I explained to Hubby about my concerns and told him I would pay the $50 to give myself peace of mind. I called the officer and told him I wanted the bat tested, period. He came back to get the bat and tried to tell me that the virus of a rabid bat (normally) dies almost immediately upon contact with air. I checked online and found out that the virus can still be alive inside the bat and in his/her saliva. I did not want to take any chances whatsoever! I wonder what the officer would have done if he had small children and had found a bat in his house. Would he want it tested? I think he would, actually! One of the things that got me, I think, was his attitude, what I call the "Now, now, little lady" attitude. I was ticked off, especially since he put on gloves to pick up the bat after having told us there was nothing to be afraid of, that any virus would have already been dead!!! Anyway, I have to calm down. Do you think I am overreacting?

Heck no you're not overreacting. we had an issue w/ bats staying in our upper attic @ 1x. We lived in an A-frame & the only access we had to that area was a small crawl space. Anyhoo, 1 got loose in my house, flew down the stairwell, right over me & my son. He was 2 or 3 & we were sitting there reading a book w/ a blanket. I jerked the blanket up over us & hubby got it. had it tested also. You can never be too careful Seawaters. in our case, we called everywhere to get an exterminator to come get them out of the attic & no one would, said they were endangered!! Needless to say, I found a guy that would do it, thankfully. 1 of the very few times I have done something illegal (killing bats) & would do it again.
I bet that guy was acting like that so as not to get y'all riled up about it. Hate it for him, he doesn't know who he's messing w/, does he?

That reminds me of the made-for-TV (I think) movie, Christmas Snow, starring a very young Melissa Joan Hart, Katherine Helmond, and Sid Caesar. It was a very cute movie described as follows: "When her mean-spirited, old landlord goes missing during a blizzard on Christmas Eve, Mrs. Mutterance and her children set out to search for him. Upon his rescue, he has a new view on life." I love all the malapropisms from Mrs. Mutterance (and she does mutter a lot!). You can buy it for $4.77, and it ships for free (Prime). I had NEVER heard it thunder during a snowstorm when I was a kid, so this movie seemed so odd to me because of the snow thunder and lightning!

on its way SW!
I have not heard thunder snow for a number of years either, we had lightening too

I will tell my Mama when I call her w/ Snow's message! thanks Star!

Made, I'm so relieved to hear about your Mom. Now that is a blessing from God right there! clot broke down & didn't do the harm it could have. I hope the meds work well for her. I also hope she can find another Neuro to go to, 1 she likes.
