The birds are singing and Penny is trying to get at them though the screen...until they get to close then she ducks or backs away from the window LOL, such a brave kitty I have!

Hi everyone, I'm back. Sheeesh, It's amazing just how many posts you can get behind on in such a short time. I don't think I can ever get caught up on so if I missed anything, I'm sorry. I have had a whirlwind week myself and am so overwhelmed at the moment.

As you know, I had surgery this past week (Monday) and I am at home recovering; things are going good and I hope to be fully back on my feet within a week or two. On tuesday, My son left for the Air Force (bootcamp); he called yesterday and said everything was fine and gave us his mailing address.

We also got a call from my brother and informing us that my father was missing, the police found him unresponsive, in his car, up in Pennsylvania. They believe now that he had a stroke and got confused and drove to PA???. he is in the hospital, going thru tests and they still don't know the full extent of things.

And in the mix of everything, we are in the beginning stages of moving...

Now, when I read some of the posts here and see sometimes that some of you are having some heck of a time with everything that is happening to you all at once, I think to myself, "wow, that's awlful, and I feel so bad for them..." Now look at me, good Lord, it's almost like what possibly could go wrong is happening all at once, (I sure picked a good time to quit drinking...lol:lol:)

Well, that's my boo-hoo-hooing for the day, I feel all better now, I surelly hope that your week is alot better than mine has been. Hey, It's the weekend, It's time for some grilling and chilling.....

Wow, how scary. Praying for your father. Hope he'll be ok, my friend.

How is your recovery going?

Glad your son is doing well. I'm sure you are very proud!

You & your family are in my thoughts & prayers~

xx

Good morning, MMC!!

Happy Saturday =]

And what a beautiful day it is!! I've got the windows open, and fans going. Nice to circulate some fresh air through the house!

It is sunny, with a high of 73 degrees. Going to enjoy it, next week it'll get back down to the 40's for a high, with thunderstorms for a few days.

What are you all up to?

Have a wonderful day!!

Good morning MMC! How's it?

Tomorrow I'm fixing my Mama her birthday dinner. I found an awesome cake on Pinterest. Well, I guess it's a cake? It's made of ice cream sandwiches, caramel, cool whip, & peanut butter cup. NO BAKING, yaay! My Mama loves ice cream & peanut butter so it was an obvious choice.

This cake sounds scrumptious!!
Have a great time celebrating with your Mama!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a cool cloudy day here, with some showers moving in later tonight. No big plans for me today. Just helping my sister finish setting up the girl scout event and then tearing it all down when it's over. Then it will be back home to watch the nascar race tonight. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Bless your heart!!

Rest up after all of that work, and take good care of yourself my friend.

Enjoy the race!!

You know what, yesterday, I spent the whole first part of the day watching Christmas movies, first was Elf, then Christmas with the Kranks (twice) and then it was Winnie the Pooh and Christmas Too... After that I watched Cars, Tangled and The Lion King 1-1/2... That was nice and relaxing and get this, they were all on regular TV, no dvds or anything else...nice!

I was looking at the MMC countdown and today is the 200 day milestone to the Christmas season and yesterday was the 1/3 mark to Christmas Day....YEA!!!! I just realized all of that.... Come on baby... bring on Christmas ... I am like seriously in need of a little Christmas right now, how about you????

It is a beautiful day outside right now, sunny, 75 degrees and no wind. Lisa is outside painting while I'm laid up so I'm going to do some paperwork, some home movies and see what everyone else is up to today. So, what is your plans for today?

Who is cooking lunch?

I haven't made anything yet, but I sure could go for some burgers on the grill!!

I think I know the cake on Pinterest you are talking about. It does look yummy!

Having company for supper, roast, potatoes, cauliflower, homemade buns and double chocolate brownies for dessert.

That sounds awfully good (except maybe the cauliflower)!

It also happens in America! I remember one March after the local Dairy Queen opened, we had snow flurries on a Saturday. We couldn't resist heading out to stand in line for ice cream in the snow.

This is one of those rare weekends when neither of us has to work ... a big blessing, considering the kind of workweek we both had this week. Looking forward to some "sofa time." I slept late this morning, but I'm ready for a nap already. I've been busy with household stuff since breakfast. Next up: we figure out what we're going to do for lunch.
