Christmas Countdown - 2013

I did not get a nap today because I spend time getting together the info for the Elks Lodges in our district. I am the chairman of the children's charity and have to get reports completed. The wind kept it up all day and then two fires started somewhere in the county with LOTS of smoke blowing around. I have a bad headache from all the smoke. I will say good night and TTYT, late in the morning, hopefully before lunch.

Watching a story about a guy who was a billionaire....lived a life of extravagance...and when the economy went south....it went all downhill....they had to lay off a lot of their employees, and all of their 15 nannies...

They had to sell a house they were building...they were 75 million into construction...and had to try to get rid of it for 15 million....

They bought 5 million in marble tiles from China....

Just because you have a lot of money doesn't mean you are rich....I'm so happy that my life isn't determined by how much money I have or even how successful I am. I'm rich because of my faith, my family, and my health. It's just amazing to me how some people are....

Hello everyone. Not much is new here. I'm almost all the way done with school! Friday should be it, and I'm going to celebrate this weekend! I didn't want to attend the ceremony (boring, even if I am one of the ones graduating), so my family is throwing me a little get-together at my favorite BBQ place. I am going to celebrate big time. I'm eating very healthy this week, but Saturday will be my cheat day. I mean I'm going to go on one heck of a BBQ bender! :???:The amount of ribs and hot links I will consume at that place will possibly make women turn away and cause children to cry. It will not be for the faint of heart!

Okay, sorry...just a little excited, if you can't tell. Ready for this school to be over and the fun summer to start.

Good morning everyone. Sorry I didn't get to post anything last night, it was kind of hectic around here. My father has been having pain in one of his legs for a couple of days and it got worse yesterday so he went in to see his doctor. After running a couple of tests the doctor decided he wanted him to go straight in to a hospital in the city where he would be able to see a specialist. I don't have all the details because as of last night they were still waiting for more test results. All I know is he has some kind of blockage and is having a procedure done this morning. My mom and brother are taking a ride back in to the city to be there. As soon as they get more information they are going to call me. His doctor here was very concerned about how bad the circulation was in that leg. So if you could please send up a quick prayer for my daddy I would really appreciate it xo

And we also note that the count has passed under 2 weeks off now from the half way Milestone to the Season.
Looks like clear sailing ahead!

Yet another coolish and damp day yesterday, with an occasional sprinkle.
Four days in a row now with rain. Looking forward to a dry one today, with the temp perhaps as high as 70. I'm getting tired of these below normal figures.
It is now 57.5 degrees here on our digital thermometer.

beautiful sunny morning, all doors and windows ope...well at the back of the house, neighbors like to sit and smoke out front so have to keep those window shut.

Off to work in 1/2 hour, not starting as early as I first thought. But working until 4pm so it is a nice long day.
