Christmas Countdown - 2013

All of the girls are at work right now and my husband is busy working around the house. I am having a quick coffee break before I begin cooking dinner. We have quite a mess in here, my hubby is tearing up floors today. Just when I think it can't get more messy, it does! He wants to put radiant floor heating in. So up come the floors. I just keep repeating to myself over and over that it will be worth it when its finished.
I spoke with my father today and he is still in a lot of pain and is having a hard time getting out of bed. He actually had two blood clots in his leg that were surgically removed. He is very lucky his doctor found them. A physical therapist already started working with him so we'll see what happens over the next couple of days.

Good morning, Christmas friends. Since I was not home in time for church yesterday, Hubby and I will attend Mass this morning. Then we will go out for breakfast at Denney's where I get my breakfast free! Getting older has ts perks, LOL! I am mostly going to rest today and will call the doctor's office to schedule an infusion. We are going to Anaheim for Elks and of course two visits to Disneyland between May 14-May 19 and I want to feel good. I will be here off and on today. Thanks for all the wonderful birthday wishes!

Happy birthday, dear friend!
I haven't been to Denny's in years, a bunch of use to go after work at around 1-2am in the morning. I loved the names of stuff on their menu like "Moon over My Hammy" makes me laugh when I think of it.
I hope you had a great day.

I recently just finished a 1-1/2 year investigation into my wifes grandfathers military career/ record. His military records were destroyed in a huge fire back in the 1970's at a military records warehouse. Upon moving him out of his house and into a assisted living facility, we came across several military documents. I researched them, and contacted the US Army, military records and with the help from them, we were able to re-establish his military record. We found out that that he earned a Bronze star and a Plillipine Liberation medal with 4 bronze stars and a purple heart and 4 other medals and ribbons. He never knew that he was awarded them because he was wounded in action from a japanese motar round and sent back to the states. I purchased a shadow box and place them in there and gave it to him for Christmas, he cried, which brought tears to my eyes as well.

Good evening mmc friends! Well another weekend has come to an end.:( We had a great one though and I feel well rested and ready to meet this next week head-on. I hope everyone here had a great weekend as well. I better be going to bed now. 5am comes so early on Monday!!!

Good Sunday evening, my Christmas friends!

Another busy weekend, but it was nice. Jacob and I went to Jim's shop to work on the Camaro Saturday. We stayed there till it was time to get ready to go to Elizabeth's ballet recital. How beautiful! And my daughter shined the brightest, if I do say so myself!

After church today, we had lunch at my mom's and supper at Nancy's parents', so we've made the rounds.

I never really get caught up reading posts from the weekends. I hope everyone is well.

Good evening,

Another busy day today, we went summer clothes shopping for the boys and celebrated Cinco de Mayo by making chicken fajitas and chips and salsa for dinner my wife also had a margarita. Since I don't drink, just a Coke Zero for me. cheesy
Not a day in the last month has gone by without thinking of Louann, I still miss her dearly. Her spirit is still here within all of us, and I love being here "sharing" time with you all.
