A true doll baby!!! Congrats to Auntie and Mom and Dad!

I became an Great Aunt at 10:27 this morning. Here is Elizabeth Grace, who weighs 7 pounds, 8 ounces. Look at her! She looks good for a newborn, and look at those eyes open and looking around already. My niece and nephew-in-law are so proud they're ready to pop. I can't blame them!

Wow! That's a great way to treat your citizens! We pay our property taxes in two installments! And we pay trash, water, and sewage separately!

... We just charge $25/month for water and trash pickup, and we have fund-raisers to pay for other needs.

So the new business coming into town won't have a direct financial benefit for Bellville, but they plan to employ 100 people, so the other businesses in town should do better.

I love it when a plan comes together!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

I love mine and use it every day! I especially love my Countdown to Christmas app.

Good morning everyone. Nothing new to report, other than I'm still trying to fight a bad case of the "I don't give a care" syndrome! I really think it’s a combo of school ending this week and finally graduating, nicer weather, and the countdown to vacation. But I will press ahead.

So, any of you have experience with the iPad Mini? I’m thinking of getting one with some gift cards I have received. I have a Kindle Fire and like it, but my kids use it more than I do. I’ve also noticed the app store is somewhat limited. I like the size of the iPad Mini, but I wonder if I would regret not buying a full size one. I had a first generation, smaller Kindle Fire and enjoyed it. Then, I bought the bigger 8.9 inch screen and found I actually don’t enjoy reading on the bigger screen as much as I thought I would. My kids enjoy it for playing games, so it receives a lot of use. But, anyone have experience with either size iPad and have any recommendations?

How high do the temps normally get where you live? Is it very humid as it is in the Piedmont?

We had our last regular season high school baseball game last night. I don't see us qualifying for state playoffs so we're probably done for the year. Ethan had a good year and has a good chance to make all conference. He will be a senior next year. I already get a lump in my throat just thinking about it.

We continue to have great temps here but a lot of over this past weekend. It was a refreshing 40 degrees when I left for work today. All good things must end though as it is forecast to get to 75 by Thursday.

Have a blessed day everyone.

I just turned in my last assignment for school. I am done. Finished. It's all over. Man, I want to jump up and down and run around or something, but folks may look at me kind of funny.

So, I'll let this guy do it

...

It's going to be another gorgeous day with a high of 76 degrees. I love opening up the house & letting fresh air blow through! Better do it now before the humidity hits.

Today, I need to go grocery shopping & run a few other errands. I also need to do some more reviewing & hang outside . It does wonders getting some sunshine.

Hope you all have a beautiful day!!

xx

Yes, it does take time. Praying for strength for him AND for your mom!!!

Dad is doing alright but he is having a hard time springing back from the surgery. He definitely needs physical therapy. We are hoping to get more information today from his doctors about when he may be able to come home. It has been tough on my mom having to go back and forth to the city. But we are all thankful the surgery was successful. I'm sure he will get his strength back, its just going to take time. Thank you so much for asking!

I had a dental appointment at 11:00 this morning, and I am still sort of numb. I HATE going to the dentist! I need to do some organizing before I take a nap right after lunch. TTYL

I started with a first-gen Kindle Fire, but then got a full-size iPad for its size and greater capabilities. I don't have sausage fingers, but I found I had to use a stylus with the Fire. I don't have that problem with the iPad. I haven't tried the iPad Mini, but it seems like it would be a great travel companion ... IF it's finger-friendly. I have the Kindle and iBooks apps on the iPad, but prefer a Kindle Touch for extended/portable reading.

What films did Mr. run last night?

I don't really know ... I stayed home. See, when Mr. is running the show, I tend to watch him instead of the show---and we can run the films at home anyway. Yes, I created the webpage announcing the films for last night's show, but that was a month ago, and I uploaded the page for next month's show last night ... so I just don't remember! Here's what the Boston Brats are seeing next month: shorts, cartoons, and Chapter 2 of the current serial.

Thanks for sharing that website. Those meetings sound like they would be so much fun! Wish there were meetings around me...I would be there in a heartbeat!

The website isn't fancy, but it gets the word out, anyway.

There aren't any Sons of the Desert tents in Oklahoma ... maybe you should start one!

The Boston Brats have shown mostly 16mm throughout the years, but now they have a video projector as well for things that aren't available on film. If you ever get to the Boston area, try to get there during the first Monday of the month (except January, February, July, and September). The shows are in a church right next to the Waban stop on the Green Line (of the MBTA), so you could get there without a car.

In the summer, up to @ 80%, average of @ 70%.

It is usually the worst during summer months. But we are farther up north, so it may be better here.

Hoping!! ;)
