Good Morning, Good Morning!

Busy as usual! I think after the end of next week things should slow down a bit and I can come visit more on here.

I had a nice Mother's Day at work, my kids and grandkids came up to visit me. The grandkids loved seeing all the critters and really enjoyed the tour around the store.

I hope the rest of the mother's on here and a nice day. That includes mom's of furkids too! Even the mom of Simon's Cat! :wink:

Wow, what an ending to the day.

It was a long day today, LC was up most of the night sick, he caught some sort of stomach bug and lets just say it wasn't pretty. I didn't get a good night's sleep, and my wife got less than I did, the boys always want mommy when they are sick. She stayed home with him today, and being my day off tomorrow I will keep him home for an extra day. Work was the same, busy busy.
JP had his first baseball game this evening, he hits the ball very well, he has a beautiful natural left handed swing, he just has to learn how to field and throw better. Baseball runs in the family, my grandfather turned down a contract from the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 1940's so there is some talent in the bloodlines. cheesy

I told Hubby I want the monster biscuit from Carl's Jr. (Hardee's to the East Coast friends) for breakfast this morning, so we will stop just down the road then get on Interstate 5 headed for Los Angeles, then Anaheim. I did play baseball, I was the best player on my little league team, but then after that year my family life went down the drain with my parents divorce, and moving to 6 different towns over the next 6 years. I didn't play again until my freshman year in high school, and I made the team in my sophomore year too. I did a heck of a job keeping the bench warm at that point. cheesy After my sophomore year I didn't care about baseball anymore, I was dealing with the death of my mother, and school didn't matter that much to me so my grades dropped badly and I wasn't eligible. I have had a lot of "what if" moments wondering if I had played every year from little league through high school.
I just want JP to enjoy baseball, I use my knowledge of the game to critique him and adjust his swing, but the throwing is still a work in progress, and the fielding will get better when he learns not to be afraid of the ball. I am not one of those parents who will pressure him to do it if he doesn't want to do it.

I'm sorry that you went through some rough times when you were younger.

You're a wonderful father, and I'm sure JP treasures all of the time you spend together practicing!

It's all about loving the game & having fun.

Good Morning!
I feel like I am starting a new phase to the year today. My husband has been unwell for some time now and he has been off work recovering. Today is his first day back at work. His work has been very supportive. They are making him take it easy by returning to work on just a few hours this week and gradually build his hours back to full time over the next few weeks. . So this is very reassuring for us.

I am grateful for his improved health and I welcome the return of our previous routines. We are getting back to normality I have to admit it will be a change not having him around as much though

How is everybody?? I have a day of housework to catch up on today. I think I will have to split the chores across a couple days as I have my tornado of a toddler to look after LOL and I have to pick up my other son from school in a few hours.

Good morning!
It is going to be mostly sunny today and cool, highs near 60 degrees.
The dogs have an appointment with the groomer this morning. I am going to the supermarket for a few things while they are there. Then back home for daily chores. My youngest has to work later this afternoon so I need to cook dinner early, I want her to eat before she leaves. I'm going to make a pot of sauce today and I think I will pick up fresh raviolis for dinner while I am out this morning. And I will pop in to visit my father at some point.

Welcome to day two of our week.

Days to the Season: 183
Days to Christmas Day: 225
And TOMORROW, it will be "Welcome to another Milestone"!

Yes, Friends.
May 15 marks the HALF WAY point of our journey back to the Christmas Season.
Fifty percent of the long trek is nearly behind us. Incredible!
(Will the 2nd half seem to go as fast as the first half did? I think you know the answer to that question!)

Still the cooler weather yesterday and it was downright cold last night, with the low in the 40's.
Should be warmer today then MUCH warmer for Wednesday, as summer will make an early appearance.
We have 44 degrees here at this hour.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

When I got off work yesterday, I went home and finally had the chance to spray the yard for those crazy dandelions. Those things drive me bananas in my prized St. Augustine grass...grrrr. The stuff I spray (atrazine) has to be sprayed before the temps get over 80°, but I messed around and forgot. Luckily, we had lower temps the last couple days, so I had a narrow window of opportunity and I took advantage of it.

I know this is a wordy post about weeds, but I'm picky about my yard!

We're going out to Jacob's guitar lesson, then Wal-Mart.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be hot here for the rest of the week. Boo!!!! On top of that, the humidity is going to be in the 80% range. So I have a feeling the air conditioner is going to get plugged in and turned on today and if not today, definitely tomorrow when it's going to be almost 90. Not much going on today. My youngest niece goes in for her 5 year check up so I have to babysit my oldest niece for awhile this afternoon. I also need to run to the store for a few things while I'm out. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!
