That's a great tradition, friend. Do you still do that? I mean, I know your family isn't all there, but still. I'd love to join in if I was closer. Might have to borrow The Lear!!

Then you could come join us for cut-out cookie day!!

It's not always Home Alone now of days but I still sit down that evening and watch a movie with my first box of chocolate covered cherries while I wrap the gifts I bought that morning.

Hey gang!

600 million????

Do you know what I would do with 600 Million? I would buy the Inn at Christmas Place....for all of us....that would be our house all year. We would have a go cart track, big screen tv for Christmas in July, and all the coffee we could drink....and that's just in one section of the yard....

Thanks for all the mentions about the wife's grandfather. The last visit was touching...he was all smiles, told her he loved her....and that he was at peace with everything and even ready. He said he wasn't hurting for the first time in a long time and he wanted to go see her grandmother....and that it was what he wanted. He was 85.

Came home this afternoon and was asleep before 5:00 pm. Woke up a couple of hours later to the dogs barking at the wife, who was playing with them. I worry about how the dogs will respond to the new baby...anyone give me some insight on this? Don't ask me....it was ok. I needed to visit. That's what is in store for the rest of teh weekend....rest and family time.

See you guys later!

Yes, I keep mine set to night time. I love to change the scenes and follow the bunny, lol.

I have mine in Auto Mode, it changes the scenes itself. I haven't seen the bunny that way in night mode, so I may have to change that!!

Thanks!!

Made, it's such a beautiful app!! They must have it for your smart phone?

I keep hearing about this app---I'm going to have to get it!
I love my fireplace app. You can just listen to the sound of the flames, or to the built-in music, or have it play music that you choose from your iPad (or iPhone). It's called A Very Cozy Fireplace.

We don't have children, coach. Just our furkid, Harlowe. But, our friends that had furkids first, then kids, still make separate time for each, so the pets don't feel left out. They say that their dogs love the kids & are protective of them, in a positive way. I have one friend who kind of neglected her dog after her son's birth, and he was jealous. I think the key is balance, she admittedly didn't do that.

It's great that your dogs have each other, as well.

So glad that your wife had such a nice last visit with her grandfather.

xx

Watching Home Alone on a Friday night takes me right back to black Fridays when I was a child. If I only had some chocolate covered cherries.

My mother always bought us the Cella's chocolate covered cherries at Christmastime. I usually buy them but I couldn't find them this past year. My Rite Aid, CVS and Target didn't have them. I will have to look harder next Christmas.

Nope. It's only available for ios. They don't have an android version.

I have a Fireplace Lite & A Christmas Carol Audio Book by the fireplace & love them both!!

They really got me through Christmas last year when we were in the process of moving, and didn't have any Christmas decorations out.
