Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a cloudy, stormy, warm day here in central Indy. Tomorrow is going to be hot and humid so I'm going to try and get all of my running done today. So I'm headed to the grocery store here in a few and then I have a few other stops to make. Then it will be back home to watch Indy Car qualifying, the Preakness, and finally the Nascar all star race. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Good Saturday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm still on a Star Trek high this morning...ahhh! Bless Nancy for suffering through the 3D version yesterday. I thing I'll go back this afternoon with Jim & Jacob.

We plan to work on the car for a while first. Man, wouldn't it be cool to be able to drive the Camaro to see Star Trek?!? The only thing better would be driving the Camaro to the mountains to see Star Trek at Christmas time!

Hope this finds you enjoying your morning. I'm about to get one cup of coffee and head to the funeral. After the funeral, we are going to my brother in law house and watch the race, probably. If not, we will come back home and just hang out.

Do you have Walgreens in your area? I think they may carry them.

We don't care for chocolate-covered cherries (heresy, I know!), but we start our Christmas season with Haviland Thin Mints, the orange flavor. The flavored ones only come out at Christmastime, and we buy an outrageous number of boxes. We keep them in the freezer so we can have a little taste of the holidays anytime.

I was actually able to get outside this afternoon for a few hours as the mosquitoes weren't out due to the wind. The pepper seedlings, lavender and basil are all planted now. I did a bit of landscaping by the patio, too. It is looking better, but still a long way to go. I had to quit when the swarms found me. By the way, you wouldn't have to buy any tomatoes, made, I'd just give them to you! cheesy

It ended up being a very nice day today - gorgeous afternoon! I got a lot done inside and outside the house today and am getting ready to do a bit of research for the store. I have a few pages of items I need to find out about so it will be a busy evening. The Greasy Skillet will be my background music, though, so it should be fun and interesting, too!

Got in from Disneyland about an hour ago, and I am exhausted!!! We were there when it opened and left the park right after the fireworks. We stopped at Bubba Gump's since we had not eaten. I had a seafood platter and Hubby had the shrimp platter. I also ordered a mango lemonade in a light-up souvenier glass. We head for SIL's place tomorrow. We do have a Walgreens a few miles away. Thank you, I will have to remember to try there. I have never had the orange thin mints, they sound yummy. I will have to look for those too :-D
