Christmas Countdown - 2013

Hey gang! Hope this finds everyone enjoying their day! We are on the verge of a holiday weekend and I can't wait. Time off is exactly what the doctor has ordered for me! We are going to do a little baby shopping and some decorating this weekend. Another day will be spent washing the car and fixing the yard, and the last day will be spent on the couch....

Yep, I'm excited! What's everyone else going to do?

We are expecting lots of rain this weekend, so our plans are up in the air. The only thing that is definite is that we have a graduation pary on Sunday for my nephew. Hoping the weekend isn't a wash out so we can get outside and grill.

I hate watching the news anymore. The bridge collapse north of Seattle is just scary. That is the major interstate!!!! It's also only a few miles from my sister's house and she drove over it all the time. She has to take my niece to the Children's hospital tomorrow morning so she is just happy they don't live on the other side of the bridge tonight.

Well I'm off to bed. Goodnight Everyone!!!!!!!

Good morning! Happy three day weekend to almost everyone! Thank you for all the kind thoughts and prayers, you are all are truly a special bunch.

It is freezing out, very windy and nowhere near summer temperatures. Ahhh well what can you do. I saw the Christmas episode of Mindy Project last night, made me feel chistmassy. I have started thinking about Christmas gifts. The summer sales are starting here and I'm thinking it would be good to stock up on a few bargains.

We are kicking off the weekend with movie night and indoor picnic. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend xxx

I am lucky like that, too, HMG. In addition to the house-building, Hubby does the housework and yardwork. I do most of the cooking and the laundry. We share dishwashing tasks. He also puts gas in my car. I can count on two or three fingers the number of times I have put gas in my car in the last 17 years!

Seawaters that is so funny! We divide the chores up pretty much the same way. I do more cleaning the he does, but he helps me out. And my husband always puts the gas in my car! I have only done it a couple of times too.

It's once again Weekend Eve and time to start thinking about unwinding for a couple of days.

And what else is winding down?

Days to the Season: 173
Days to Christmas Day: 215
Two weeks from tomorrow, Folks -- the 200-day Christmas Day Window will be cranked open, and won't the view of a double-100's count be breathtaking?
(Almost as nice as the view from the upper terrace at the Shispering Pines!)

Finally a dry day yesterday with moderate temps, and we still have a tolerable humidity level.
Hopefully, we'll have another rain free one today.
It has started off at 64 degrees here.

Hi Sam! I am doing well. My father is too! He just had a follow up appointment with his doctor and he is very pleased with his progress. Thank you so much for asking.
The ducks are in my pool right now. I'm kind of getting nervous, they are spending a little too much time back there. I don't want to have to worry about them when I let my dogs out in the backyard. Although, the ducks are probably bigger than the dogs, lol.

Hello everyone!
It is going to be cloudy with rain showers today and a high of 65 degrees. More rain expected for tomorrow with temps only in the 50's. I can't remember the last time it was this cool for Memorial Day weekend.
Typical day here, errands and chores. I have to work on a menu plan for next week and go to the butcher. I am hoping we will be able to plan a barbeque at least one day this weekend. The weather doesn't look good. We'll see what happens.

Such an eerie premise ... the thing you most desire has the power to destroy you. I have the VHS somewhere in the house. Can't watch the scene with the dozens of tarantulas, though.

I don't think I've seen that all the way through. You can't go wrong with William Powell and Carole Lombard, though.
