Christmas Countdown - 2013

So the first tropical storm of the year is born and headed straight for Xmastidings, Bradmac, and Sugar. Stay safe you guys!!!!!! It looks like you are going to get a lot of rain.

Good evening everyone! It's been a great day we are about 99% done with getting everything in place..we have a much smaller place which is what we wanted actually because it's easier to keep clean...Tomorrow makes my 20th year in the service and that issuch an important date..From the first day I enlisted I knew when I was 38 I would be eligible to rertire. ANd up until the last 2 years I was really planning too. But then life happened and I started havin kids and you know how it goes...nonetheless tomorrow is a huge day for me! 20 years have come and gone so fast. I plan on doing 4 more years and my retirement check will be a lot bigger too! I just wanted to share this with my friends here. I know they are going to have a big deal when I show up to work next Monday. I have met most of the people I am working with. I will be working with a few less people than I was in GA. Anyways I think I am going to take a nap because all thie moving has worn me out! have a good night everyone!
 
Good evening! Pines tonight? I think I will....after all, Christmas Vacation is on AMC and the Pines has a 96 inch big screen tv!!!

(yes, it really is and I'm really watching it for the 2nd time this week)

It was on last night at 1am too. I watched the first hour again before going to bed.

It's on Friday evening too, I think.

Man I needed to record that to my DVR I lost all my good movies during the move...stuff I had for the last 7 years. I did set my dvr to record the European Vacation overnight. I loved that one better than the first but most people think the first vacation is better. Anyways I guess I will record Christmas Vacation next time it's on AMC!
 
Would you believe it is supposed to be 109 F. on Friday? Ugh, ugh, ugh!!!

I have been thinking about this part time job offer and I think I am going to step out of my comfort zone and give it a shot. I am excited but nervous. I will be going in to the office tomorrow afternoon for a couple of hours to begin my training. Keeping my fingers crossed that it goes well!

We're beginning to relax and enjoy ourselves. I can't get a decent cup of tea, though---I think I'll have to buy a cheap plastic electric kettle. The immersion heater doesn't make the water hot enough ...

So we're just hanging out with nothing much to do, and it's GREAT to be able to say that.

I hope you and everyone else on vacation are having a good time and making memories. Dawg, glad to hear you're getting settled in your new home. Everyone else---wish you could be here with us!

They are cute, aren't they? But they are driving us crazy!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that wished me good luck for today. It really means a lot to me. Everything went well, considering it was my first day. I have to admit I was a little intimidated. The office gets very busy and I was definitely overwhelmed but I know it is going to take some time before I get into the swing of things. I also was kind of frazzled when I got home because my chores were all backed up, lol. But I will get in to a routine. And it will be good for me, it will build my confidence. I really hope it all works out. I go back in tomorrow for a few hours, I will let you know how it goes :-D
