I tried posting a message on your profile this morning, but the computer or MMC wouldn't let me do it :/

Just wanted to say hi & thinking of you during your job search!

And did you make your Halloween countdown?

If so, I'd like to see it!

Thanks! Looking for a job is a frustrating process, and I just received one rejection email...so I'm a bit discouraged right now but I'm sure the right one will come along.

I did make the Halloween countdown and I will post a pic! Thanks again for showing me how!

Oooo, take a pic of the plate. I am SURE you will love babysitting!

Hey gang...just signed in, but it's almost my bedtime...babysitting for the newborn tomorrow so I need my wits! LOL!
It's quiet, but that's okay as long as all my Christmas friends are healthy and happy and dreaming of Christmas in July!
Speaking of...I found an adorable little vintage Christmas plate at a rummage sale this past weekend. It will be perfect somewhere in the grand plan!
Rest well all!

No problem!! Looking forward to seeing it!

As far as the job search goes, I will keep you in my prayers, friend.

You're probably "over qualified" in their eyes! The same thing happened to my sister. Not that you want to hear it now, everything happens for a reason. Chin up! =]

With this post, Xmas is poster 23,000. Yay!!! For his efforts, he wins a CD that he can use in his "Christmas Song a Day" thread. It is a looping CD with EVERY make of Jingle Bells recorded by dogs or cats. LOL, enjoy!!!

Wow, anyone can get a show nowadays. cheesy

Haha! I'm not sure I would want to win that prize! cheesy

I am sure you made the right decision. Plus, you can spend more time here, LOL! Loved what you said about your username!

...

I have decided to not accept the job offer at the doctors office. The job was only supposed to be a few hours in the morning, two days a week. I was already asked if I would be able to be more flexible and work afternoon/evening shifts and fill in for people when needed. Maybe someday I will be able to do something like that but I'm not ready yet. It's no wonder my username is HomemakinGirl. But I am happy I tried it, now I know.
Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well!
XO

I'm trying to stay positive. The prayers are appreciated!

It was great. I think I am really going to like it! It is about 100% more laid back than at Valdosta,Ga! It's a smaller base so maybe that has something to do with it. But the people seem very cool. Thanks for asking!

Glad to hear that.

Guys! Our friends from MA are staying with us in July and I just realized - it's QVC Christmas in July weekend! How can I sit on my couch with the a/c cranked and Christmas music playing now??? I don't think they'll think that's a really good time! Oh noooooooooo!

Remember they are the guests. If you want Christmas In July, go all out!!! cheesy

Well, that was a very fast vacation... Was I actually there??? :-? That seemed like one of the most shortest trips that I have ever made, the time flew by so quickly, It's so true that time flys by when your having fun...cheesy

Well, here I am back at the old grind stone, dosen't seem like I missed very much here either, things are a little slow at work right now. I'll be home for about a week then we fly out to San Antonio, Texas for 3 days to see our son graduate from the Air Force bootcamp.

Oh I forgot to mention this before, but while I was in Universal studios, I was approached by someone working there and I was asked if I would spend 60 minutes of my time and watch a pilot TV program (in the AC) and give them my opinion of it and they would pay me $20.00. I said sure... So, I got to watch a pilot TV show of Bear Grylls new show called "Bear Grylls -Ultimate Survivors,"! I thought it was pretty good, it's sort of a mix/ combination of Man vs. Wild and Survivor...It's supposed to come out this Fall on the Discovery Channel (I think)...

Well, I'll tell you, it does feel a little good to be back home just to be able to sleep in my own bed for a change. Don't you just miss your own bed when your away???

Well have a good afternoon everyone and stay cool!:snowball:

Oh Noooooo! :-? Ya - I can imagine what our friends would say if they came to visit in July & I told them we were sitting inside watching Christmas...ha ha ha!! Good luck with that one!!!

Have a great day everyone!!!

My friends and family would just shake their heads and say, "well, that's Ron."
