HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the great fathers out there. Atleast I think it's fathers day in the US today too?

I hope you all are doing good. I am a bit unwell these days so I will catch up with you all soon. Missing you all ! Take care xxx

Hope you feel better soon.

Its another Monday. My mom is back in the hospital with another intestinal blockage so her colostomy is not working. Surgery is not an option so they are trying other ways. Cancer really stinks.

Keeping her in my prayers.

I am trying to psych myself up for this week. We are going to be super busy. We have more final exams, a couple of more college appointments, my daughters senior prom, high school graduation ceremony and her graduation party. I have so many errands to run and things to do. I looked at my calendar this morning and saw that I scheduled my physical appointment for tomorrow morning. I wasn't thinking when I made the appointment, didn't realize how hectic this week was going to be. I hate to cancel, I am overdue so I think I will go.
And to top everything off, my dog Maggie has a cough that is getting worse. I am going to have to get her to the vet. Molly went through something similar not too long ago but she seems to be doing well. I'm going to call tomorrow morning and see when they can take her. I am so worried about her. I don't like the way it sounds.
Thats about it for me. I am excited and looking forward to everything that we have coming up this week. But I must admit, I am also looking forward to when things will slow down!

Hang in there, it'll slow down eventually! I think you're doing the right thing keeping the doctor's appointment. You want to be on top of your game while things are hectic. Keep us posted about Maggie.

Happy Father's Day and happy Sunday. Maybe it should be "Male Role Model Appreciation Day" instead. I don't have a traditional father/son relationship with my dad, to say the least. But, a man from church stepped in and to this day is like a father to me. So, guys, even if you aren't a dad, I bet you mean the world to someone out there!

Have a great day everyone!

Ryan, so well said. I know quite a few men like that. Even some on this forum! Thanks for reminding us all of that.

Day 2 of Ballcoach's Countdown....

Days to the Season: 150
Days to Christmas Day: 192

Tomorrow, it will go back to Crown....thank you for letting me do this for a couple of days! It's always fun...

Before I go....a quick story. When I coached my first baseball game, my Dad was there to support me. We didn't win...we lost in extra innings....but he gave me advice that day that would stick with me through the coming years of my professional life. We made a couple of base running errors that cost us the game and he told me after it was over...

Son, just take care of the little things and you will be alright.

Fast forward eight years to the last state tourney I coached in. We won our first quarter final game in school history by "doing the little things." After it was over, he put his arm around me....told me how proud he was of me...and jokingly reminded me that he was the reason I was there....because I took his saying to heart.

Well, I'm where I'm at today....because my Dad modeled taking care of the little things for me when I was a kid....and when my daughter is born...I will continue taking care of the little things, just like my Dad did....

Happy Father's Day!

Beautiful, Coach. Thanks for sharing.

They just announced that our plant will be closed Thursday, July 4 AND Friday, July 5! Yessssss.

Good for you! Our office is scheduled to be open on Friday the 5th ... I hope they make a last-minute decision to close that day. Two days of July Fourth would be great!

Sounds like you had a good Fathers Day! I hate it when I don't get my walk (sometimes run) in, in the morning! Hope you have time tonight! I had my name on the calendar to be off July 5th (we are closed the 4th) - then I put my name down on the 3rd too...and this morning I put my name down on the 1st & 2nd too! Hee hee! My hubby is on vaca that week, as well as some of our friends. cheesy

Now I have serious long-July-Fourth-holiday envy!

It certainly does. I'll be thinking of you and your mom, and praying for the best outcome.

It is getting warm out there now!!! And fresh country air is seeping in through the windows! Pee yew!!! I'm ready to call it a day & go sit in the AC at home!!!

This made me laugh! I grew up in dairy country---my elementary school playground was right next to a cow field. When the kickball got away from us, we had to crawl under the electric fence into the cow field to get it back. Then there was the day the cow gave birth during recess ...

Track, ours show up in about two weeks....as soon as our farmers start flooding the rice, we get swarmed.

Not cool....i hope they dont like U r skin too much

It was foggy here this morning too! More hazey than foggy I guess. It's awesome out there this morning, but I'm sure it will be warming up this afternon!!! Have a good time at the wedding reception!

Good morning MMC! I haven't had a chance to read all the posts, but I hope you all (especially you Fathers) had a great Fathers Day! We had a great weekend at the lake. Friday afternoon I had to take my Dad to Dayton for his doc appt. We sat around a bonfire at the lake Friday night. Walking & bike riding was on tap for Saturday morning. I rode my bike to the festival at the lake to watch my niece/nephew play mud volleyball Saturday afternoon. What a hoot! Of course I got a bear hug from them...anybody know how to get mud out of clothes? Ha ha! We had chicken dinners from the fire dept Saturday night & sat outside at the neighbors. Yesterday we had both families to the lake for Fathers Day. (40 people) It ended up being such a nice day AFTER rain in the morning. We weren't too sure about the weather for awhile, but it ended up great! Everyone left by 8 or 8:30 we cleaned up at the lake, locked up & headed home! And here we are - Monday!

I need to do some cleaning today & tomorrow at home (after work) to get ready for the busy week/weekend of our town festival - the Countryfest & our chili party Saturday night after the fest. Wednesday we have the pre-fest party at our house where we brown 25 lb. of burger & chop 20 lb of onion for the chili. Thursday is the pre-fest party at our neighbors...then the Fest begins. Friday, Saturday, Sunday! It will be a busy week! :) I am off work Monday! YAY!!

Have a great week everyone!!

Happy sure looked like he showed up! He wasn't in the back yard very long, but there was a big mud spot from all the rain we got Saturday. And, I guess the temptation was just too much for Happy Dog to take.

:)

I'm with Happy!! A dog needs to be a dog every once in awhile ;)
