Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good evening.
What a busy day. I am exhausted and I will be heading to bed soon. I got a lot done, so that's good. My chores are a little bit backed up because I was out of the house so much today but I'm hoping to catch up tomorrow.
I went for my physical this morning and everything seems to be fine. I had my blood drawn last week, they had the results already and that looked good too. The doctor will be sending me to have an echocardiogram, sonogram of the thyroid and a bone density test. The echo is because my dad has heart disease, the thyroid sonogram is because my mother has a thyroid condition and the bone density test is because I am getting older! I will schedule all of the tests but not until after this week is over.
I also had Maggie at the vet this afternoon. She is having airway issues. They see that her trachea is narrow. I was told the small breed dogs are more susceptible to this problem, especially Yorkies. The doctor started her on medication, I am praying it can be controlled and will not continue to get worse.
Well I have to wake up early tomorrow, my daughter has another exam in the morning.

Thanks everyone for all the well wishes. I have only skimmed over some of the posts so I hope I haven't missed anything too important. I've not much planned today I want to take baby to the park but I feel exhausted.

It is gorgeous here, too. I didn't feel like cleaning when I got home, either. Got a bit done, but so much more to do yet. At least the windows are wide open. It is actually going to get down to around 42 tonight. This is June weather?! Love it!! I hope the rest of your week is as beautiful as today was and that you get to be out and about enjoying life!!!

We're getting hammered with thunder, lightning, and POURING rain. It's been going on for a while now. It's so dark, because the clouds are so thick.

We have to take our cat to the vet this afternoon. She has been eating a lot and still "cries" for food. Also, she is not gaining any weight even with the extra food we have been giving her. She was diagnosed with a thyroid problem several years ago and was put on pills, so we shall see what is wrong this time--hopefully nothing serious! Keep us posted on Maggie.

Good evening, MMC!

The sun is shining brightly and I have almost every light on in the house. Yes, a bit nervous here yet. I got home too late to make any calls. My brother is going to set a trap up there when he has the time, though, so that is good news. He recently was called back to his job and is trying to adjust to his late shift so it might be a while. As long as I don't see it down here, all will be well! I had poor Palmer up until 2 this morning. She stayed up as long as I was up and didn't settle down until just before I went to bed. Her busy day yesterday is catching up to her today - she has been snoozing in the sunbeam for the past hour - sitting up. lol Last night I discovered that the local college radio station plays jazz and blues from 11 until 5 in the morning. Love it! I set my stereo to snooze and fell asleep listening to classical jazz from the 50s/60s. So nice!!!

Hope you all stay cool with the heat & humidity. We are having a bit of a reprieve today, with a high of 73 degrees. It's partly cloudy & there's a nice breeze, so we turned the AC off & opened the house up.

I had a fun weekend at my parents house, and spent a lot of quality time with Dad for Fathers's Day. Love being able to drive home so easily!! And with such a beautiful drive-my most favorite one.

Seawaters, I finally got some photos of Mom wearing the Yorkie/Jazzie necklace I had made for her for Mother's Day! She loves it!!
