[Festive Spirit]

Mom had her check up with Dr Jonson, [Ophthalmologist] today. Her eye pressure is dangerously high. He immediately put her on 3 new drugs, Lunigan, azarga and alpenhagan.
The lunigan is taken at bed time and the azarga and alpenhagan are taken at breakfast and at bed time.
She is to immediately report any change in her vision and will have laser surgery on July 23.
He expects pressure to be down by that time. If it does not go down further after the laser surgery she will require eye surgery as soon as possible after that.
Please pray that it goes down quickly, the doctor says this could lead to her going blind.

Happy Half-Way Day all!! I can almost smell the gingerbread and egg nog... Of course that may just be a heat stroke, either way it's a down hill from here!! Waahoooo!

Good Morning! Milestone day, need I say more!


Thanks for all the get well wishes, I appreciate it.
It's been grey and dull all morning but just as I started writting this theres been a break in the clouds and sunshine is peering through......this is the effect you all have.....

I had a weird encounter yesterday evening with a door to door salesman, only I got the feeling he wasn't really a salesman. Long story short, it left me a bit unsettled. Maybe I'm just paranoid but I'll be ignoring anyone at the door whom I don't know from now on.

Anyway.......big celebration at the Pines tonight I imagine!! :wink:

He claims his "celebrity status" and pull helped but.....well.....I don't know.
Regardless, tonight's Shispering Pines theme will of course revolve around the half-way point.
No doubt lots of items will be half off at the 'Pines.

Hotter and more humid yesterday with even hotter temps predicted for today.
Right now, we perceive 72 degrees here in our part of central NC.

By the way, Seawaters posted a recipe on Facebook the other week for biscuits made with 7 Up and Bisquick. We tried them and they are great!

If you have homemade buttermilk biscuits you just might have me showing up and crashing the party!

Good evening,

Busy day here, LC had his kindergarten physical today and then we spent most of the day out, to Holyoke, MA to Barnes & Noble and Holyoke Mall. I finally went to my first Hobby Lobby!!!! That store is amazing, they did have some Christmas stuff out but my cellphone camera is craptacular, so no pictures. LC fell in love with the scarecrow nutcracker, and the paint your own nutcrackers. I work early tomorrow, had my schedule changed to work Thursday night for inventory, and day shift tomorrow, part of the reason was to have the night off for a possible game 7, but we all know how that turned out. :sad:

We don't have one here, but we do in my hometown. So, I go when I visit my family.

Cannot wait to go & see the seasonal decor!!

Good morning!!!

I really wish we still had our nice camera...did any of you see the "harvest" moon last night?! It was breathtaking!!

Not much planned for the day, just studying & housework.

It is very foggy out this morning, quite beautiful & mysterious.
