Morning all! Hope all is well! We're headed to an area amusement park for a few hours.

It's officially DS birthday. He had a blast at his party. The weather didn't cooperate too much, but I was it was just wonderful to see him so happy and be together with my family.

Well, off to have some fun! Talk to you guys later! God Bless and keep smiling!

Attached is a picture of DS birthday cake. He loved it!

Happy B-day to him!! I hope you have fun at the amusement park.

I remember when Thomas was everything to my boys. Now he is just a memory, they are more into Adventure Time and silly shows like that.

We seem to always be unlucky with the cars we get.....now something is wrong....at first the reparing would have cost 350 euros....which would have been doable.....they had to check for the parts.....and this car needs a part that is far, far more expensive.....all in all we would have to pay around 750 euros....impossible....so we do the most urgent thing now....which is 220 euros....and have to see how to pay the other reparation.....grrrrrr

sorry for renting

Sorry about the car issues, I hope you can get it fixed soon.

getting dark, rumblings of thunder passing, a bit of rain. It will all soon be past, but looking at the radar there is a lot more to come later, maybe. These storms have a way of veering off before they get this far. Will see what happens.

Figured out why my computer keeps shutting down, it was over heating. One of the fans is not working as it should. My brother is going to give it a good cleaning for me and check to see if the fan is broken or just clogged up. I put it on one of my cake cooling racks for now and that seems to be working to help keep it cool.

Stay safe!!!

Good idea with the cooling racks.

Oh, Hubby and I obviously did not make it to the 5 p.m. Mass on Saturday, but we did go to the Sunday morning Mass. I looked through the Missal and found that we go to Mass 16 times before Halloween is here and 20 times until Advent. Yay!!!

Hello all. Glad to be out of the suit! I hate dressing up. I feel huge in suit coats and my shoulders look like Frankenstein. :) the funeral was nice and it was good to see folks. Hope y'all are doing good!

Great idea, Star. Merry, how do you feel about your view now?

It's okay. The building is on a mostly residential street. But it's nice to be able to see what the weather is doing.

I found out later in the afternoon that I'm sitting directly opposite an air vent that, when it cuts on, is strong enough to blow papers across my desk. Not ideal for proofreading! The CFO is trying to get the contractors to move the vanes so it doesn't blow directly at me. I hope that happens soon! Otherwise, it's pretty good.

Good afternoon/evening,

Long day at work, it is hard to leave on time when your best employee is on vacation. cheesy

I think we are copying Sugar lately, we went to see Despicable Me 2 the other day after she did, and tomorrow we are heading to Six Flags, it will be the first time we have gone since April, and we have seasons passes.

I did get a reminder in my email from Hallmark about the ornament premiere weekend this weekend, I showed it to my wife and tried to plant the seed that I want to go. Only problem is we live a long distance from any Hallmark stores ao it is almost a day trip. But Christmas fun beckons, so it is always worth it.

I got to go fire up the grill, for chicken skewers.

lol i iwll not be doing the painting am gonna be the boss lol lol

The holiday mmm where do i start. I suppose it started back in 1690 lol , all about king billy and king william , long story
But its called the 12th holidays. its a big protestant event . they match from the start of june to round the end of auguest in different towns with band parades to celebrate king billy winning the battle of the boyne.
Can cause a lot of ill will with catholics so sometimes there can be fighting. my town is good but belfast is bad
the main event bes the 12th that is the main big day. bes maybe 20 parades all round nothern ireland and think there is a few in scotland as well
On the 11th night they light massive bon fires and sometimes burn photo,s and stuff. its what this country is about i guess
They have been trying this past few years to make it so both regilons can enjoy it but its not really working to well... sometimes tempers can get raised on both sides because of it
Me i could not care less . i have friends that go to it and on the 12th i will have a drink with them the same as they will have a drink with me on paddys day theres loads more to it. am no good at history. i have enough to worry about when i worry about the future lol lol

Most firms will take 1 or 2 weeks holidays at this time .a lot of people wood go on holidays as well

am more intested in christmas

Very interesting. It's a shame when there's bad feelings, and all cannot come together, though.

Either way, enjoy some holiday time!!

I have to tell y'all about a BIG scare I had on Saturday. On Thursday and Friday nights, I had difficulty sleeping. In fact, I didn't sleep at all on Friday night. On Saturday, Hubby and I continued to work on packing up "stuff" in the den/kitchen area to get ready for the remodeling to begin. We both took a nap, Hubby in the bedroom and I in the den (which we call the TV Room). We had plans to go to the five o'clock Mass on Saturday as usual. Hubby woke up and came to wake me up at 6:30, telling me that it was too late to go to Mass because we had both overslept. I asked him the time and when he told me, I told him we were not late that Mass wasn't until later in the afternoon. I really confused him because I thought it was 6:30 Saturday MORNING and it was really 6:30 Saturday NIGHT!!! (I guess I had Saturday night fever, LOL!!!) It took me over an hour to finally realize that I had taken over a five-hour nap!!! It finally hit me when I saw that I was dressed in clothes and not my jammies! This was SO bizarre! It has never happened to me like this before! I honestly thought I was losing it! Well, I am back to normal now; well, as normal as I can get, LOL! So watch out, Made, with your naps, LOL!!!

You poor thing!! You were just that tired!

Glad you got a nice nap in, though.

I need some advice, friends! Little bit of story to set it up...

I was off today for the funeral. I received a call from an organization this afternoon asking me to come in tomorrow afternoon for a job interview! I'm excited, but I know I cannot just take vacation time tomorrow without giving a reason (in other words, I can't just say I have stuff to do and need off as the chances of getting it are slim, particularly since I was off today). My boss has mentioned that she knew once I graduated I would be moving on probably, and we are on good terms about it. She has mentioned that she thinks I'll be finding a different job soon.

I won't lie about why I'm taking off tomorrow, and I won't lie and just call in sick. I'm a bit nervous about telling my boss, but feel honesty is best. I feel I should just explain that this chance has come up and I would appreciate the time off. It's a gamble, because I don't want her to get mad, but I also don't want this opportunity slip by. What would y'all do?

Do any of you guys get the hallmark channel
just seen on facebook there is 2 movies on

The case for christmas and Hitched for the holidays 8-)

LOL!!!!! I would have been confused to if I had slept that long!!! It took me a couple of hours to wake up Saturday after I got up from that nap.

The weird thing is that I usually don't take naps unless I take benadryl for my allergies. The last couple of days though, I have just laid down on the couch and passed out.

I think it's mostly exhaustion from the heat & humidity! I'm having trouble staying awake in the afternoons, too.
