what a sudden change in air pressure, my ears are popping as if I just went up in an airplane, weird. I wonder why this is happening.? There is storms coming but nothing is close right now
Lets see if this answer will help you out some...
When a storm approaches, the pressure of the atmosphere usually decreases. So, during an approaching storm (usually associated with a low pressure weather system), the barometric pressure decreases, which means that as the storm gets closer to you, the weight of the atmosphere around you decreases and so does the pressure on your ears (it has to do with the middle ear).
When your ears pop, it's really because the pressure inside your ear canal is greater than the pressure of the air outside. The popping is the equalizing of the pressures.
The exact same thing happens when you ride on an airplane...as you go up, pressure decreases and so your ears pop… :-D
