Uh-oh! I was the offending person who mentioned them in the first place. Hope Jeff Westover doesn't go all "Bud Selig" on me and hand down a suspension-I may have to stay off of MMC for 65 days or something!

I promise they were for medicinal purposes!

Don't worry about it ... it's an automatic thing done by the digital platform, not something Jeff squashed personally. Your using the word once was fine. I tried to respond by saying Yes, definitely the meds were making you hungry, because I had [forbidden medicine name] when I was on chemo in the 1980s and it made me ravenous. That's when I stopped being skinny. But I used the "s" word, and it redirected me and wouldn't post. Just did it again---wouldn't let me mention the med by name.

You're welcome! We are doing good - thank you for asking! Lucy took two of her kittens out to the pond a few days ago and came back without them. She spent the past couple of days looking for them. It is quite overgrown out there so I wasn't much help to her. This morning the missing siblings were on the porch looking for their daily helping of kitten food. Mags, their sister, was so happy to see them. She stays close to the house. If I didn't have Palmer, I'd have Mags in the house - she is a sweetie! The weather is gorgeous and I am going to have as many windows open as I can. With Christmas music blasting away work should go by fast!!! Have a wonderful day, my friend! {{{HUGS}}}

I'm glad to hear the kittens came back, especially since they went missing near a pond.

I can see that =]

I can just see you ordering a steak, and him asking for a gourmet peanut butter sandwich ;)

Ooh, good idea!!!! I'll have to call the Eagles nest which is on top of Hyatt downtown and see if they have Peanut butter!!!!

:celebrate:

Merry Christmas in July!!!!

Are you a Brewers fan?

Yep ;)

I follow them & the Cubs!

I love Baseball. One of the few sports I enjoy watching live & on tv. I played softball & fast pitch baseball throughout middle school. For a while, I was the only girl on the baseball team in grade school, LOL. Had so much fun!

ME TOO!!!! :-P

Merry Christmas-in-July, everyone!

We're getting closer to opening night at the theater this weekend. Elizabeth is so tired from all the practice, I hope she gets a change to actually enjoy the play!

Not only is today Christmas in July, it's the first anniversary of my, ahem, myocardial infarction. Someone showed me the newspaper article from last year: "BELLVILLE MAYOR SUFFERS HEART ATTACK". I, however, prefer to believe that I survived a heart attack. It tried to take me out, but I defeated it...with a little help from my cardiologist, that is.

People still offer to do strenuous things for me, afraid I'll have more trouble. It's nice of them, but I don't intend to be afraid. If the doc says to be careful, then I will. But he says I'm good to go as long as I exercise and watch what I eat, so I've decided that the heart attack is something that happened to me in the past, like a broken arm, and I got over it.

[Forest Gump] And that's all I have to say about that.[/Forest Gump]

In other news, my grass has gotten out of control again! It rains every afternoon now, just before I get off work. LOL I might have to use some vacation time to cut the grass. That's crazy!

I hope y'all have a great day!

Agreed - you ARE a survivior! Doesn't that seem crazy that it was a year ago already?! Great job staying on top of your heart health! Good luck to all this weekend at the theater!

LOL!!!! I've been known to get grilled cheese off of the kids menu before!!! Macaroni and Cheese too!!

Praying for your niece, buddy.

((Hugs))

I just talked to my sister and she is doing okay this morning. Still itchy but no signs of a rash. Her tummy is still upset too just because of the amount of medicine that they gave her. She is a trooper though and going to school for the weekly refresher classes they are offering.

Poor girl! :( Hopefully every day gets better!

You are a survivor, friend!! Glad you're doing so well, taking your doctors advice & following it so steadfastly.

Hope Elizabeth has a wonderful premiere weekend!! I bet you're so excited to see her in action =]

Btw, do you plan to see The Conjuring?
Nancy refuses to see it on the big screen, so I have to wait for the DVD.

Merry Christmas in July to you, too, Bradmac! You most definitely are a survivor - thank God! I hope Elizabeth gets a chance to enjoy the play - how exciting for her!!

I'm glad to hear the kittens came back, especially since they went missing near a pond.

Thank you, Merry! Lucy's favorite spot is out at the pond. If her kittens aren't born out there, she will take them out there after they are month or two old, lose them, and spend a few days trying to find them. She does that every year! I would like to know what she it trying to teach them!!! She is getting very sneaky - she took them out there after I fed them and so it was several hours before I realized they were missing.

LOL!!!! I've been known to get grilled cheese off of the kids menu before!!! Macaroni and Cheese too!!

My wife does that sometimes, too! My problem is, if ordering off the kids menu, it would take several orders to fill me up.

I try to limit myself, but I'm not the smallest guy in the world. So when I eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches I can eat several without even noticing. Especially days when I workout and I'm very hungry!

I am glad you are doing good and kicked that heart attack in the hind end!
And, I hope Elizabeth breaks a leg this weekend (not literally, but in show biz speak). Maybe I should say I hope she knocks it out of the park!cheesy
