I've added some new pics over in the Halloween Blossoms thread. Snowflake, there's some Spooky Town stuff over there, as we went to Michaels. You have us hooked on it! My kids love it and so do I.

I also found a sign that reminded me of you...not because you're a witch, but because it looks vintage. cheesy

I've added some new pics over in the Halloween Blossoms thread. Snowflake, there's some Spooky Town stuff over there, as we went to Michaels. You have us hooked on it! My kids love it and so do I.

Spooky town is expensive, but they have good sales on it most of the time!!

I only have three or four actual houses/pieces, and most of them have a fall or witch theme. They had a signature series a while back, and I got a barn / pumpkin patch display. Another is called witch's hat, wild pumpkin ride, which is Set at a carnival and is basically bumper cars in the shape of pumpkins with little kids in their Halloween costumes riding around. Super cute, reminded me of fall carnivals I went to as a kid. And the other one that I have is a witches house. My best friend and I started collecting witches and pumpkins at some point!

I am here.. wow I missed this place

I have a bit of an update - my dad passed away on June 5th, 2013 :-(

Peacefully with all (most) his kids around his bed. He actually opened his eyes for about 5 minutes--- he started to tear up and smiled at us...he took about 5 -6 breaths and then was gone. I could not believe how peaceful it was.

I miss him terribly as the he was in palliative care the last 3 months and I was there a lot...as much as I could with two small kiddos and a full time job ... oh and a hubby too.

she was my partner in the ornament exchange last year and with everything going on with my dad well I just didn't send it. I found it a few weeks ago and finally mailed it today.. I hope she can forgive me and that I am welcome here again.

So sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. Praying for you and your family.

Of course you are welcome back here - we understand what life can be like and family ALWAYS comes first, no matter what. Know that you can always come back here.

Another disgruntling day at work, that's all I will say about that.

Vacation is going to be here soon, I am so looking forward to that.

Just watching the Bengals preseason game, the score looks good, but it means as much as a blizzard warning in July, I do have to say I like this team a lot this year.

My friend had her American Idol audition, she is not going to Hollywood, but we may see her on TV when the new season starts. She said she was interviewed on camera so we can look forward to that.

I hope everyone is doing well.

It is a quiet day here as well. I did a couple offers and otherwise spend my time joking with my work collegues. Other than that I ckecked my favourite authors for new books (luckily some are coming up) and was searching for new authors. I found one "problem" with the ebook reader though. Ebooks are much cheaper then real books and without worrying for storage space I tend to buy way to many books. Do you have the same "problems"?

Tomorrow evening we are able to visit a flat, we might be able to buy. The offer looks very good, according to my cousin, who works in the real estate business. It would also be more or less close to the village we live in now. We'll see how the meeting goes and how the rest goes.

I'm going home early as there really isn't any work to do and I'm having headache.

I do have this same problem, with ereaders. I have so many books, more than I can read, but I can get them really cheap, so you said and especially at Christmastime, Christmas books really go on discount or new ones come out and I always have to get those!

Good morning, MMC! It is going to be a busy, busy, busy day here. I am finishing my last minute packing and I leave for vacation tomorrow. Let's hope I don't forget anything.

If you don't mind, please keep my grandpa, brother, and dad in your prayers. My mom and I are going on a cruise and we will have no phone or internet access. The last time that we were away, someone wrecked into my grandpa. He is a couple years shy of 90, so I worry about him regardless. My dad drives all day long and my brother has a lengthy drive to/from work each day. I would appreciate any prayers!

I am really excited to go on vacation! It is a short trip, but still, it has been something to look forward to all summer long. I am glad that there are no tropical storms/hurricanes this time around. The last time I went away, Sandy was in full-force and the weather was disastrous. Now let's hope that I didn't jinx myself!

I see that some of you are also preparing for vacations or weekend trips. Regardless of whether you're flying or driving, have a safe trip and be careful!

I'm sure by now you've left your cruise, but just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you - have safe travels. Praying for your whole family.

Hope DD is alright. I know how that goes! Not sure if its the same for everyone who has it but I'll give you a tip from me: high fructose corn syrup can be a killer! After I was diagnosed that was one of the first things we zeroed in on that could put me in a world of pain...especially in large amounts (like pancake syrup). Hope she is alright!

Thanks for the heads up. After today I think chocolate may be one of her triggers. It's gonna be so much fun trying to figure out what does and what doesn't
