I have been running around like crazy trying to make sure that I am all packed this morning. I think I have everything (sheesh I sure hope). I have to get going to the airport in about a half an hour and my flight is in 2 and a half hours. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers for a safe flight!

I will catch up with you guys next week after the cruise!

xoxo

Have a great cruise!!

I am here.. wow I missed this place :(

I have a bit of an update - my dad passed away on June 5th, 2013 :-(

Peacefully with all (most) his kids around his bed. He actually opened his eyes for about 5 minutes--- he started to tear up and smiled at us...he took about 5 -6 breaths and then was gone. I could not believe how peaceful it was.

I miss him terribly as the he was in palliative care the last 3 months and I was there a lot...as much as I could with two small kiddos and a full time job ... oh and a hubby too.

and a public Christmas Apology to Mumof2

she was my partner in the ornament exchange last year and with everything going on with my dad well I just didn't send it. I found it a few weeks ago and finally mailed it today.. I hope she can forgive me and that I am welcome here again.

MerryNoel, I am so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. {{{HUGS}}}

Where did you get your Move t-shirt? I would love to get one of Roy singing his I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day song!

I got it from redbubble.com

Give em a good bump in the right-read quarter panel....takes care of it everytime!!

LOL!!!! The only problem with that is that it was my mom and aunt. So then I'd just have more stuff to fix.

Maggie is doing better. She still gets that honking cough once in a while, that has to do with the trachea. But she also had that hacking cough. It was especially bad during the night and I was worried it might have something to do with her heart. Thankfully she stopped doing that. Her doctor had her on antibiotic so I'm hoping whatever was causing it, is gone!
And Bella is doing alright. The doctor was concerned about the possibility of an infection developing from the surgery, but so far so good. I still get so angry when I think about what happened and I feel so bad for them. She use to be able to jump in to my Aunts lap but she can't even make it up a step now. My Aunt is taking very good care of her. She is still recovering and I'm praying that she will be herself again one day.
Thank you so much for asking!
XO

Glad Maggie is going better!!

Still praying for Bella.

I am am at the hotel! The flight was delayed and a little bumpy lol. Everything at the airport is outrageously expensive! A teeny tiny bag of chips that normally costs 25 cents is almost $2.75 here! I am a little homesick lol. I have to admit home is my favorite place in the world. I miss my dad, brother, and grandpa. My mom and I really needed this vacation, though.

Tomorrow I cruise!

I hope you are all doing well! Thanks for your prayers :)

Glad you made it to the hotel!!! Have fun on the ship!!!

oil change, thanks for the reminder! I have coupon for a free oil change at a local place and have until the 22nd to use it.
I have a tail light out, can you come over and fix it?
Just baked these carrot muffins that now also have cream cheese topping on them

Tail light? Sure!!! That's no big deal!!! Especially if I get one of those muffins!!!

Well, If I like a book, I'll read it again and keep it. Some of those books are like family to me. There are a couple authors, whose new books I buy without hesitation. I'll enjoy my cookbooks and my family will too (as I'm planing on cooking more often).

I usually like the books I read, but I only keep books I absolutely love - there aren't that many of those considering how many books I have actually read. Quite close to a hundred read this year alone. cheesy

Good morning, MMC! It is going to be a busy, busy, busy day here. I am finishing my last minute packing and I leave for vacation tomorrow. Let's hope I don't forget anything.

If you don't mind, please keep my grandpa, brother, and dad in your prayers. My mom and I are going on a cruise and we will have no phone or internet access. The last time that we were away, someone wrecked into my grandpa. He is a couple years shy of 90, so I worry about him regardless. My dad drives all day long and my brother has a lengthy drive to/from work each day. I would appreciate any prayers!

I am really excited to go on vacation! It is a short trip, but still, it has been something to look forward to all summer long. I am glad that there are no tropical storms/hurricanes this time around. The last time I went away, Sandy was in full-force and the weather was disastrous. Now let's hope that I didn't jinx myself!

I see that some of you are also preparing for vacations or weekend trips. Regardless of whether you're flying or driving, have a safe trip and be careful!

Prayers on the way, jennifer. Be safe and have fun!

Well I can officially say that I have finished shopping for one person on my Christmas list. I just ordered all 8 seasons of Full House for my niece in Seattle off of amazon. She has been obsessed with it on tv here lately and keeps complaining because they show the same one's over and over. So now she will be set.

Good show - excellent gift!!!

I like Patterson, Crais, Patricia Cornwell, all the Reacher books, Tami Hoag, Joanne Fluke, Lisa Unger, Gregg Olsen, Kevin O'Brien, Iris Johansen, CJ Box, Linda Fsairstein, JA Jance, Linda Castillo, Lisa Jackson, Jeffery Deaver, John Sanford, Kellerman, Wendy Corsi Staub, Harlan Coben, and a ton of others, LOL

I read them, too.

we have books in every room of our house, and yes, we keep getting more! But we also from time to time give away books that we have read or no longer wish to keep so others can enjoy them.
Hope all goes well the viewing of the flat!

Me, too!

I love reading. I can certainly understand accumulating too many books on teh Kindle. Not only are they cheaper but it is so convenient and fast. Having said this I will admit I am an old fashioned book lover. So I prefer to go to the library and I like spending any rare free time there. Whenever we take trips to different towns you will always find me checking out the book shops! I love mystery, thrillers, fantasy, drama, the classics, and American southern gothic to name a few. Patricia Cornwell is one of my top favourites. If you are into mystery/thriller then you should check out Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn and Before You Go To Sleep by S.J. Watson.....both amazing! The latter is being made into a movie by Ridley Scott. ( I am also a film lover). I am always happy to meet a fellow book lover.....what are you into?

Me, too! I checked that book out from the library on Tuesday but haven't been able to start it yet as I am in the midst of an Elin Hilderbrand novel.

Good morning everyone!!! It's been crazy around here lately and I sure missed checking in her. I figure it's going to be crazy for the next two weeks till school starts.

Finally got a diagnosis for DD's belly pains and stuff. After 3 procedures and blood work the Dr says it's IBS. Which is not fun but at least it's not as bad as they originally thought. So we are trying to figure out what some of her trigger foods are so she can try to stay away from them.

Spent all last weekend shopping for school stuff. NC had a tax free weekend on school supplies and clothes, so we went Fri,Sat and Sun. But we got everything.

Well gonna go try and catch up. Have a grand day:playing:

I'm glad that you have a diagnosis and I pray it will be easy to find DD's triggers!
