4 more work days until vacation, tomorrow is my last day off before my vacation. Woohoo!!

My wife and I are heading out to see Percy Jackson 2 in the afternoon tomorrow, the boys will be with our friend since it is her turn to watch them since we watched her boys a couple weeks ago.

I was expecting some serious twists/twisted characters in Gone Girl and so far (a little over 2/3 through) I have not been disappointed. I had the twist that occurred right at the middle pegged from the beginning, but I am somewhat stumped as to where it is going to go now. Being stumped = very good book!!! I hope to finish it tonight. cheesy

It will keep you guessing till the end, such an entertaining read. I hope you get the chance to read Before I Go To Sleep by S.J Watson , I literally could not put this book down and read it within two days.

The trip to the Twin Cities was interesting, bad fog just about the whole way there- left little visibility. Ahhhh!

Good Morning MMC!!!! . So I'm going to pack up the truck tomorrow morning and head out camping. I can only go overnight but I need to get away for awhile. So one night is better than none. So today is going to be spent cleaning and packing my gear. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL my son is the same ! Did you see any shooting stars. We had a very clear night here but didn't really see much of anything. I think we had to wait till much later plus I don't think my location was one of the best to see anything.

How was your evening?

Like I said, I watched a couple NCIS LA episodes and then went to reading. Big mistake!!! Went to bed too late and therefore I'm very tired right now.

Guess I have to make it a rule, to not read in the evening. Oh well, won't work anyway.

Three of my ordered cooking books arrived yesterday. My mum already found a recipe, which she wants to try out.

Ken Follett has a major connection to my alma mater!

Thank goodness that I do not mind shots!

I have the theory that the more one has to take shots the less he/she minds them. Don't know if this makes sense. English is not my native language and often I do not know how to write/say something.

Morning! We had a good evening thanks. I was exhausted by the end of the day. I watched a little TV. Then we went out into the back garden to watch for any shooting starts from the meteor shower. After that I stayed up reading.

Good Monday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

I usually make my main post earlier in the day, but after having been out of the office for a week, I was slammed with emails and post-it notes that demanded immediate attention. I'm finally caught up.

We had a great vacation! We got home yesterday afternoon about 6pm. It was 92° and 100% humidity. Yikes, it never got over 78° in Maggie Valley last week! I wanted to give Mgramsey a call to meet for a cup of coffee while I was in the neighborhood, but my family kept me on the run all week.

Still, it was good to see Bellville. A week is about as much time away from home as I want at one time. And it's good to have full-time access to MMC, too!

Hey, I was thinking about you the other day, I got my latest issue of Country magazine and inside it was a story about the the Smokey Mountains that you always talk about. It had alot of pictures in it and it looked really nice and laid back, perfect for a vacation....

I'm thinking about birthday and christmas gifts for my family. My fathers birthday is on September 23rd and my sister follows on November 17th. After my sisters birthday christmas will be here soon. I've something in mind for my father (he likes to barbeque and his favourite tv cook has a new barbeque book published), but no idea for the rest of the family. Oh well, with time idea will come.

Hey, I was thinking about you the other day, I got my latest issue of Country magazine and inside it was a story about the the Smokey Mountains that you always talk about. It had alot of pictures in it and it looked really nice and laid back, perfect for a vacation....

It really is the BEST to us. You can be as relaxed or as active as you want, and it's always 20° cooler there than it is down here.

Speaking of that, glad to see that you had a nice vacation; welcome back to the real world....

Now that rush hour traffic has passed, I'm going to be taking off here in a few for southern Indiana. I should be to the area I have in mind in about 90 mins. As long as I don't get distracted along the way. Which I probably will. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY and an even better one tomorrow!!!!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

The city council was good enough to delay our monthly meeting, which is usually on the first Monday of the month, until yesterday. This allowed me to go on vacation without feeling too bad about missing a meeting. Not that we usually have much super-important business in Bellville, but sometimes we do. There actually is a very nice retirement village going up soon on the edge of town, and we're negotiating with the other towns to provide sewer, gas and other services that they'll require. I've seen the plans, and it'll be a beautiful place & a wonderful sight to see when entering Bellville from the east.

Enough about that. The temperatures are supposed to moderate a bit this week. It's actually supposed to be in the low 80's this weekend. WOW!

Hello all. The seven day forecast for our area is in the 80s! The weatherman last night stated he sees no 100s in our future, at least as far out as they can predict. Man, that would be great if it holds true. This is VERY rare for Oklahoma. August is usually brutal.

Good morning everyone! I'm at work, thinking about what color to paint the bedroom upstairs. Need to make a decision & fast. Hubby is on vaca this week - wanting to paint today & put flooring in tomorrow. EEK!!! Moving right along.... And I picked a 5 gallon bucket of tomatoes yesterday, so I'll be putting them up tonight. I think I'll make juice with these?!
