Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good morning!
We are going to have more summer like weather this week and hoping it will continue through the labor day weekend. We are going to be camping at camp David for the weekend, something we have not had an opportunity to do yet this summer. Several other family members are going to be there too so it will be a fun time!
I actually get to stay home today and get some work done around the house. I also want to bake some zucchini bread.

Some grinch has been stalking our beloved Christmas store....
This is a large item, it would be really hard to hide this guy, so sad someone would do this.


FROM THE CHRISTMAS STORE IN STRATFORD: MOOSE STOLEN!

Our Moose is missing!!
Sometime after 8pm on Saturday Aug 17, Bruce the Moose was taken from in front of our store!! His brother Ed is very upset and we are all distraught over the loss of our beloved moose
Please share this status- please help us find our moose! Please call 519-814-9627 if you have any information leading to the safe return of Bruce. He is 4ft tall with big antlers- looks exactly like Ed the moose (who can be seen dressed in a variety of ways in our photo albums). These 2 moose are the last of their kind and are no longer in production.
Charges will not be pressed- we just want our moose back!

This IS sad, when even a Christmas moose isn't safe from marauders! I hope he's returned in one piece. Makes me think of the Red Horse Steak House in Frederick, MD, which used to be right across the highway from the State Police barracks. They had several life-sized, bright red horses stolen over the years.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

What a long weekend. Our plant was closed Friday (with the exception of we, the admin staff) to give the guys a big thanks for their hard work, and we rented a local water park for 4 hours. Who knew it would be 73° in August and rainy?!? So, we're going back this Friday to try it again. It's bound to be back in the 90's by then. LOL

Saturday we drove to Macon, GA to buy school uniforms. Man, I need to go into the uniform business! Lots of profit there! Then I drove around for 30 minutes to find a Starbucks for the trip home. While driving around, I saw a Guitar Center store. We stopped and Jacob had a fit over a nice acoustic guitar. ♪♫Santa Claus is coming to town!♫♪

Yesterday we have lunch and supper at Nancy's mom's. I went home to find a monster limb broken out of one of my big pecan trees. It barely missed my pull-behind yard sprayer and the boat. Whew! Now I have my work cut out for me. I'll have to sharpen the blade on the chain saw.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! The heat is definitely back here in central Indy. It looks like we will hit 85 today with pretty high humidity. I have a few things to do around the apartment today but most of my day will just be spent relaxing and getting geared up for CIA tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!
