Christmas Countdown - 2013

Never should have taken that nap yesterday - I did not get to sleep until after 5 this morning. It was so noisy out! The tree frogs were yelling, Shaggy was jumping on and off his doghouse, the cats were yelling, pears were falling, and traffic on the main highway was ridiculous for early morning. To top that off, Palmer was racing around the house, batting her jingle balls, jumping up the wall, and jumping off of the bookcase, which I think she likes to do because it makes a rather loud noise. Of all things, sometime early this morning my neighbor dropped a pie off - when I went out to feed the kittens it was setting on the porch outside. Her knocking is what woke me up, but I didn't know what I was hearing at the time. Good thing she knocked or I would have overslept. Although I do not like pie, it is a nice wake-up call!

I hate when I cannot fall asleep, something that is happening more the older I get it seems.

A nice quiet afternoon so far. Going to meet a friend at Timmies later. Not much to do today, will bake a cake later on that is being picked up on Friday.
Tomorrow we go out to set up camp so it is ready for Friday night.
Until then I can relax and do nothing for awhile.

I have been enjoying reading some previous posts, back from the start of the year when we were all cold and wishing it would warm up ! LOL, seems there is always something to talk about when it comes to the weather!

Oh bummer!! We have my hubby's parents machine since they never use it. And a couple years ago, I found one at a garage sale - "never used, rec'd as a wedding gift 25 years ago" it said - for $5! SOLD!

Well it's 94 degree's already and feels like 103. I think it's time to head to the Pines and take a dip in the pool!!!
