Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's not going to be quite as hot here today. Just 89 degree's and less humid. I've already been to the grocery store this morning and now I need to get some stuff done around the apartment. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

I just noticed the Christmas Top 100 is open for voting! I've already cast my vote. Can we cast more than one?

I voted for my all time favorite song (not just Christmas song, but song, period!) "All I Want for Christmas Is You" by Vince Vance and the Valiants. I've had that song stuck in my head. Can't wait to start listening to Christmas music. I start in October at some point, gradually adding it in and I just realized we are only a month out from that month!

Good morning! Happy (Holiday) Friday Eve!!!! :grin:

I woke up to fog this morning! It was REALLY foggy! The sun popped up about 10 min ago & the fog disappeared! All the schools were delayed, some canceled! It doesn't appear ours will have to cancel thanks to the sun. Don't want to use those days too quick in the school year - especially with the winter the Farmers Almanac is calling for!! :smile:

Hope you all have a good day planned!! I'm definately looking fwd to the long(er) weekend!!! I've got a little cooking to do tonight for the weekend, & hoping to have time to run some of our things out to the lake tonight so tomorrow after work all that stuff is already there & I can just head to the lake!!! YAY!!! Several of our lake neighbors are coming up already tonight! Getting a head start on the weekend. Lucky ducks!!

The first Jingle Cats CD was "Meowy Christmas," the second was "Here Comes Santa Claws." They both have Christmas music rendered in real cat sounds (meows, purrs, etc.). Remember "Jingle Bells" with the barking dogs? They're along those lines, only with cats. They're cute, but I wouldn't listen to them all day! They're still available on Amazon as MP3 downloads.

And---oh, no! I just discovered there was a third album, "Rhythm and Mews," of non-Christmas music. "Dueling Banjos" in meows? Really? I gotta hear the samples when I get home ...

It is tough right now, not what I expected. School did not prepare me for the reality of being an independent contractor, in fact it teaches nothing about $. We learn about the reality of the business from our Brokers. I had no idea it called for aggressive sales tactics, my understanding was that it was a service type of sales, and that I would get more leads through my company. Therefore, we are struggling financially, and are having a tough time spending extra money on marketing my business, when there's nothing coming in. Add that to the fact that I haven't worked for 9 months.. there are monthly & annual fees that are very high. I based my love for real estate on my experiences buying & selling, and didn't know the other side of things. I researched it, but there are laws about not discussing $, so I could only find out so much. I don't know that we can afford the fees while building my business. After I went to work for my broker, I was told that many agents are in the -$ for many years. It doesn't help that I don't know a lot of people here, much of the business is based on referrals. I am looking for supplemental income of my own right now. Prayers would be appreciated!! =]

Seems as though the devil is always in the details, and there's always something "they" didn't tell you. It will be a tough decision whether to stick with it or find something else. I'll say a little prayer for you.

I think you can "nominate" as many songs as you like. As I understand it, the top 100 are the recordings with the most votes throughout the year. They get played in a countdown on Merry Christmas Radio, hosted by Jeff, RadioJonD, and JayIsh.

I've been throwing some Christmas music into my listening, but I don't go all-out Christmas until after Halloween---it gives me something to look forward to!

Thanks! Most of our tree's are still green! The maple in our front yard is turning a little - and there's the tree's along the bike path at the lake that had already lost their leaves last weekend. But they must all have been a certain variety that loses their leaves early! What about in WI? Are they changing there yet?

When I went to lunch it was 75º! But now the sun is out & I'm pretty sure it warmed right up!!!! I'm stuck in the AC at work, so I dunno that for sure. Lol

I usually can't hold out past about mid September!!! :grin: Isn't that crazy though...only a month until OCTOBER!!

My neighbors are use to me starting the day after halloween so it won't be a shock to them!!
