Whew....I woke up Monday morning and hit the ground running...I got home at 5:00 today and haven't been out of my chair since....

Tomorrow we have a dr. appointment...excited. Sunday we are going to go baby shopping and put the finishing touches on the room. I dreamed both nights last weekend that the baby was born tomorrow...when I walked into the buidling Monday, one of my friends ran up to me and said "I dreamed the baby was born on my birthday...my birthday is Friday." I about passed out.

The anticipation is building and it's dominating my thoughts...can someone please tell me how to handle the anticipation because it's driving me CrAzY!!!!!

Been busy this week with our big Volksfest....our yearly Backfischfest. Food, drinks, rides and music.....been there yesterday with my cousin Frank, who came down from Hamburg.......I think I had one beer too much.....hahahaha....just one though, not worth be called a hangover

It is tough right now, not what I expected. School did not prepare me for the reality of being an independent contractor, in fact it teaches nothing about $. We learn about the reality of the business from our Brokers. I had no idea it called for aggressive sales tactics, my understanding was that it was a service type of sales, and that I would get more leads through my company. Therefore, we are struggling financially, and are having a tough time spending extra money on marketing my business, when there's nothing coming in. Add that to the fact that I haven't worked for 9 months.. there are monthly & annual fees that are very high.
I based my love for real estate on my experiences buying & selling, and didn't know the other side of things. I researched it, but there are laws about not discussing $, so I could only find out so much. I don't know that we can afford the fees while building my business. After I went to work for my broker, I was told that many agents are in the -$ for many years. It doesn't help that I don't know a lot of people here, much of the business is based on referrals. I am looking for supplemental income of my own right now.

Stacey , I am so sorry to read that you are facing these obstacles. It must be very stressful for you and Adrian. Are their any online sites/forums for people in your business to share experience and advice? It would be great for you to hear from people who have been in similar situations, perhaps they can give you some advice. What about contacting fellow students who did the course with you, perhaps they can share their approach? I admire your determination and I think the supplemental income is a good idea. I know this is a very complex and hard situation to be in but hang in there a bit longer and don't give up without a fight if it's your dream. If things don't work out you will atleast take comfort knowing that you gave it your best shot. Thinking of you mate and praying that things are resolved. (((Big Hugs))xx

Unfortunatley this anticipation will only build as it gets closer . But your are managing it well by baby shopping and preparing. Enjoy every minute of it Coach and make sure you and the wife are getting alot of rest beforehand!

Morning! It's Friday!

It's the last weekend before school reopens, I honestly do not know where the last few weeks have gone! I kind of feel a little sad that summer holidays are coming to an end. I am also thrilled that we are heading into autumn and the start of fall festivities! Mixed feelings are good though, it refreshes my spirit.

Not sure what our plans are for the weekend but hopefully quiet and layed back. I'm looking forward to the start of September. I have a couple more summer books to get through and then I will begin my autumn reading. For my birthday Mr. Festive gave me Bloomsbury first edition copies of the first two Harry Potter books to add to my collection. It 's inspired me to reread them and I always like doing so in autumn/winter. Harry Potter is an absolute favourite!

Happy Labour Day weekend to all of you celebrating! I bet you all have got some exciting and fun things planned. Have you got any Labour Day traditions? What are you looking forward to?

I have a couple more summer books to get through and then I will begin my autumn reading. For my birthday Mr. Festive gave me Bloomsbury first edition copies of the first two Harry Potter books to add to my collection. It 's inspired me to reread them and I always like doing so in autumn/winter. Harry Potter is an absolute favourite!

my eldest, Jeannine, is 30 years old today! wow, I do not recall getting older myself but apparently she did.

Good morning! Happy (Holiday) Friday Eve!!!! :grin:

I woke up to fog this morning! It was REALLY foggy! The sun popped up about 10 min ago & the fog disappeared! All the schools were delayed, some canceled! It doesn't appear ours will have to cancel thanks to the sun. Don't want to use those days too quick in the school year - especially with the winter the Farmers Almanac is calling for!! :smile:

Hope you all have a good day planned!! I'm definately looking fwd to the long(er) weekend!!! I've got a little cooking to do tonight for the weekend, & hoping to have time to run some of our things out to the lake tonight so tomorrow after work all that stuff is already there & I can just head to the lake!!! YAY!!! Several of our lake neighbors are coming up already tonight! Getting a head start on the weekend. Lucky ducks!!

Have a blast! I want to go to the lake so bad and ride my bike but we tried that last Saturday morning but was too hot at 7 am and will be hotter this weekend.

I just noticed the Christmas Top 100 is open for voting! I've already cast my vote. Can we cast more than one?

I voted for my all time favorite song (not just Christmas song, but song, period!) "All I Want for Christmas Is You" by Vince Vance and the Valiants. I've had that song stuck in my head. Can't wait to start listening to Christmas music. I start in October at some point, gradually adding it in and I just realized we are only a month out from that month!

I love that song too! We went to a local Christmas festival one year, early 90's, and Vince Vance was performing. I was not that familiar with them and we just stopped by for a sec to watch then went and left to do some other stuff. That song was new so I didn't know about it or I would have stayed to listen. It wasn't until later on I heard the song and has been a favorite since! There was hardly anyone watching them perform. It is one of my very favorite Christmas songs!!!
