Reminds me so much of our tortoise back at my Mum's. She is quite a few years old now. When we got her she could fit in the palm of my hand and now she is so big that the cat when she was a kitten would ride on her back LOL!

Aw, that sounds so cute! We have turtles in the pond - they are curious, but keep their distance.

I thought this was interesting too. I am not a huge fan of Campbell's, but will sometimes eat it. I do have one though, so I am thinking, maybe, I will get a box and try them. The kids may like them and they would be easy for the fall/winter months.

I'm not either - the only soup they make that I like is tomato.

Banana nut bread, done! Peach cobbler, in the oven. House smells great!

Mmmm! Wish I was there!!!

Good afternoon, MMC!

I hope this finds everyone well!

What a busy few days I have had! Stressed out family members, somebody else's book checked out to me at the library, migraine, work, shopping and garden produce pretty much sums it all up. Migraine is gone - yay!!!! Today was laundry day and I am also trying to catch up on all the things I did not get accomplished over the weekend, including the forums here. Missed all of you!!! I will be in and out for the next few hours.

Be MERRY!!!!

I'm glad your migrane is gone!!! Hope your day is getting better!!!!

Hi everybody! I am having a really frustrating day so i thought i would pop by for some Christmas cheer and see what everyone else is up too!

I hope things picked up for you, Kizzy! {{{HUGS}}}

Good morning!!! I'm bummed that I wasn't able to log on all day yesterday. I'll just say that it wasn't a great day. Nothing seemed to go right!!! So far it's a much better day today - but still busy since I only work until noon! YahOOOOO!!! :yahoo: I'm going out for lunch with a good 'ol friend & her daughter! (My Goddaughter) Tomorrow morning we are leaving early to go to the Cincinnati Reds game. It's Joe Morgan day at the ballpark. Should be fun!! I'm going to try to catch up a little on here before I head out to eat....

Snowflake - I just saw where Harlow wasn't feeling well. I'll have to read back to get the scoop, but I hope she's much better today!!!! Glad to see she is eating & drinking!

Have a great day everyone!!!!

I hope things improved for you, Holiday, and that you had a great time at the Reds game!!!

Have a nice visit! Praying for you and Harlowe, my friend. If you need anything, you know where I am.

Thanks, buddy. I appreciate that!!

xx

Hope you have a good time catching up with your friend.

Praying for you and Harlowe. ((Hugs))

Thanks, buddy ((hugs))

YAHOOO! Finally caught up!! For now...

Hope your hubby got some rest last night!

Hope you are feeling better today!!!

Sounds pretty heavenly!!

WOW! Looks great! So cozy!!!

YAY!!!!!!!!

Ooh cool! I'll have to watch for that!!

Welcome Back!!!!!!

Sending up a prayer for Har! Hope she improves quickly!! Enjoy the time with your friend!!!

Thanks, Holiday!
=)

MEEE TOOO!!!

Lol! It's a long haul around!!! But I'm in good company - time & miles pass quick!!

FUN! Good weekend for big bonfires!!! ENJOY!!

LOL I have such fond memories of watching re runs of Star Trek when I was growing up, they were the best. I still like watching old episodes now whenvever I get the chance.

Goodluck job hunting, I hope you will find something that you like soon.

You must be so worried. Have you taken her to the Vet? I'm praying for her recovery and health.

We did routine bloodwork on her to check her levels a few months ago, and they were all good. I just did take her in last week, but not for this. She got sick that evening for the first time, actually. Then was fine for a few days. And then yesterday again :( She is doing better today, thank God. She hasn't been lethargic, or seem to be in pain after, like before. So, for now, I will keep an eye on her. I let the vet know, and they said if it happens again, bring her in.
Thank you for the prayers!!

xx

I bet it all looks really lovely, the weather has been strange everywhere.

We turned our heating on last night for the first time in months! It is chilly in mornings and at nights these days.

Thanks!!!

Hope your dad feels better, so sorry to hear about Benji (((Hugs)))

I hope you get some rest!

I am looking forward to that too, your decorations look beautiful!!!

Thanks, HmG. xx

Snowflake, I will be praying. It is just so darn hard and stressful to watch your pets get ill. My little Chico keeps me worried all the time even though he has decent energy and eats well, he still has issues with his heart. Give Harlowe a hug from me! Hugs to you too!

MerryCarey, I just saw the pics the sitting area and all your books. Impressive!!!

Thank you, CAH!!

xx

Good luck with the job search!

Sending lots of hugs and prayers to both you and Harlowe xoxo

Thank you Holiday!

xx

Hope you are feeling better soon!

Looks beautiful, MerryCarey

Good morning everyone! I just wanted to get on here and say hey to my Cristmas buddies I have missed work today because I feel horrible and I am layed up on the couch and drifting in and out...Just wanted to wish everyone a good Friday and hope everyone has a great late summer weekend! Just a few more weeks until Fall is here!

I hope this finds you better, dawg!

Tweak that aqua into a mint green, and call it Chocolate Mint!
I stopped at A.C. Moore yesterday for some yarn for my ripple afghan, and snagged two skeins of a pretty variegated yarn that has been discountinued, for $2 apiece. I don't know what the color is called, but it's Bernat yarn.

I love Bernat yarn - it is so soft!

Look what happens when I get behind on here! You quoted me to tell me about your tortoise several days ago and I am just now seeing this.

Do you have a picture of your tortoise? I would love to see her!

I toldHubby that I really want to grow tomatoes and zucchini when we finish all the remodeling. Those are two versatile veggies!

Yes, they are very versatile!

I have not felt great today--sort of a scratchy throat and still a lack of energy. I am going to rest a while and try to get back on later. I am researching some info that Rob sent to me and some info another friend here in town sent. Hopefully, the shots will make a difference. TTYL

I hope you are better today!

It's funny how different it is depending on where you live. In the summer here our electric bill is usually $150.00 higher than it is in the winter. That is including in December when I have all my Christmas lights up along with running some heat, summer is still way higher. We have even seen it up to $250.00 higher in the summer! Ahhh!
our hydro bills are outrageous this the summer! $160 last month. We have never had them this high before, makes me wonder what is going on.

thanks!
I think it is just our money they do not like, when I asked to pay with Canadian funds because I ran out of American, they wanted to charge me 18% exchange rate! Ouch! I left my stuff on the counter, told them I would not pay that rate when our money at the time was at par.

Is there a local bank that will exchange Canadian money for American at the going rate? I exchanged American money for Canadian when I went to Toronto.

I hope you got the mistake at the library sorted out ... very annoying and frustrating when a mix-up like that happens. Also hoping you get caught up with things soon and can relax a bit!

I love Bernat yarn - it is so soft!

I like it, too! I wish the local craft stores carried as many colors in Bernat as they do in Red Heart! The colors are beautiful, but Red Heart yarn can feel kinda harsh. Even so, I buy a lot of it because I can get the different colors.

I finally got out about 7:30. Ugh.

Clutter is what happens when you enjoy good books, music, and movies. The libraries have to go somewhere! Knickknacks don't have much of a chance in our house, because our shelves are all used for storage, not decoration.

I'm sorry you had to stay so late at work - hope your weekend was relaxing! The shelves in my house are used for storage, too, except for the top of my nicest bookcase. I was given a plant of my aunt's after she passed and it takes up one corner and I use the rest for display.

Thanks, buddy!! Come on over, it's pretty quiet here, and we could use the company!!
Harvest party!! Seawaters always says that we can use the Lear, who's in?!

Love your decorations and the image posted here. I'm in - I'll bring pumpkin pie, pumpkin cookies, and pumpkin cream cheese muffins. :witch:

It was very NOT relaxing ... you'll see when you read further through the posts! But our efforts turned out well.
