Good morning, friends!!

Just a quick hello, thinking of you all.

Harlowe seems to be doing better today, thank you all for the thoughts & prayers. Please keep them coming! <3

We had a nice visit with our friends yesterday, but Harlowe didn't know what to make of the big dog that came with them =] He is a very sweet golden retriever, but was a little too rambunctious & frightened her, I think a lot has to do with his size, too. Add not feeling the greatest on top of it, well... we were going to keep him outside, but it was 95 degrees & 100% humidity, so he needed to come in.

All in all, it was a nice day.

I am still catching up here, and will be throughout later this afternoon & evening. Sending lots of hugs to you, Christmas buddies. Take care!

Have a blessed day!!

Glad to hear about Harlowe. I will continue to pray!!!

I am sitting here with a cup of Pumpkin Spice coffee that I just brewed in the Keurig. We have the whole house fan on, so it feels cool in here, even fall-like!!! I have some of my packing done (will only be gone for a day) and will try to get finished reading the posts! We are going to Yreka for an Elks meeting and dinner. We will meet friends for breakfast at Hungry George's tomorrow morning before heading for home. TTYL

Have a safe and fun trip!

I did try the new Starburst Candy corn today, they taste like Starburst, but they have a candy cornish texture. I hate regular candy corn, but these I can eat.

Glad the appointment's went well!!

I've been wanting to try those!!! I'll have to pick some up now!!!

My fall candy weakness is caramel apple suckers - yummy!!!

Oh, I remember when those first came out!! I was addicted!!! I've sense conquered it though.

Good afternoon, MMC!

I hope this finds all of you well!

I'm waiting for some glassware to air dry - delicate stuff I don't want to break. I have a few hours of research ahead of me and then I can relax for the rest of the day! Yay!! It is too hot to do much - I'll probably read and spend time with Palmer until it cools off enough I can check on the cats and Shaggy. I did not get all of the tomatoes done yesterday. The last batch was still cooling at 1 in the morning. I ran out of garlic, too, so I did not make as much sauce as I wanted. It was still a very long day! Tomorrow is a harvest day if the weather is cooler and dry, otherwise I will wait until Thursday. Friday is supposed to be cool, so I might can some more. I need to buy supplies first. The grapes are slowly turning purple - soon I will have to take care of them. The one apple tree is about ready, too. I plan on making applesauce - very versatile in baking and yummy all by itself. There is a pear tree at the end of the road and nobody has picked any of the fruit, so I might pick a bushel or so. It is a gorgeous tree and I hate to see the fruit rot. If I do pick some, I plan on making chutney and some pear sauce. There has been such a bounty this year - makes me think this winter might be rather miserable.

Off to do my research . . . be MERRY!!!

Sounds like you are going to be busy but you will have lots of of yummy stuff to show for it!!!!!

Evening everyone! I am just making dinner so popping in quickly. I am making vegetarian sausages, butternut sqaush/Potatoe mash, yorkshire puddings and vegetables.

Looking forward to getting a little time out after the kids go to bed. My youngest has been so cranky of late and on top of him waking up at 3am every morning it's been a little tough.

The screen of my digital camera has been smashed, I think it might of been the baby playing with it. I don't know when it happened. Anyway DH ordered a new screen and it came today . He is hoping that he can replace it . I hope that is the only problem with it and it works! Fingers crossed. It was a christmas gift from DH a couple years ago.

I hope you all are having a good day. Back to making dinner and bath time for the children. DH won't be home from work till late.

Hope your DH can fix the camera!

ahhh, sometimes I just want to throw a cake out the window!
Hopefully once it spends some time out in the freezer it will behave and do what I want it to do!

I am back, had my lunch and sitting down for a few, I have to leave to get JP in less than an hour for his appt. Just like I said, I have to lose weight, this coming from my Dr, who is no skinny minnie himself. Everything checked out, just waiting for my cholesterol test to come back.

I hope you all are having a great day.

I always laugh about that...the doctor preaches, but look in the mirror!!! We could all be a little healthier I think.

It seems to me that I got a few of the Pepper e-books free on Amazon. There are quite a few Bobbsey Twins books, too. cheesy

I'm sure at least some of them are available. Any of them that were published before 1922 are in the public domain in the U.S. Thanks for mentioning that---I may check them out!

Now that was a great birthday!

And it makes your house smell wonderful while it's baking. I usually don't put the tapioca in b/c I usually don't have any. It's just for thickening & it doesn't really need it!

It was really nice. After lunch with my high school friend & her daughter, we went to the lake. 6 neighbors & my hubby rode bicycles with me to a little tavern on the corner for a birthday drink. Then we all went back to our trailer for pizza - then a bonfire. It was a good night.

ENJOY!!!

It's so hard to get back in the swing once you have not done it for awhile. ESPECIALLY that early morning stuff!!! I got out of the swing last winter. I can't let that happen again this year. It's so easy to stay snuggled in bed when it's so cold outside, but too hard to pick it back up again later!!! Good luck!!!

I think so too. Hubby said as of right now it sounds great to him.

Yowzers!!!!! It's steamy out there. I picked 2 bags of tomatoes at lunch. Counldn't stay out there too long!!!

I am glad to hear Harlowe is doing better, but I will keep her in my thoughts.

Thanks, friend.

We have to send out good thoughts Harlowe's way! It's like she belongs to all of us, just like the other fur babies!

She does, and we appreciate you all more than you know!

xx

Maybe we will be there for dinner! Who wants to go?

I'm in!! I've always wanted to go there!!! Add friends & food to the mix, even better!!!

Thanks, girl! ((Hugs)) to you & Palmer.

All is well with JP, drs visits are done for the day, I am beat from all the running around I did today. Now I have to figure out what to do for dinner.

I wish I disliked candy corn, I'm having some this very minute!! I saw a sign at a gift shop today that read "It's all about the candy"!!
