Good Morning MMC!!! It's going to be cooler here today with a high in the low 80's. It's going to be pretty dreary today too. Busy morning here. I had to spend 30 minutes on the phone with the paper throwing a fit because I didn't get a paper today for the second week in a row. Which is a pain because today is when we get all of our grocery ads. So after I got off the phone with the paper I had to run up to the gas station and buy one. Okay, vent over!!!! LOL!!!! I stopped getting the paper for that reason got so tired of the delivery problems. I read on line now.

yes, the days are going by fast, they always do once September hits and we are the downward slide to the Christmas season!

I've been busy this morning, trying to work with our IT guys getting a new copier setup. As you know, these days copiers also fax & scan & print, so we've spent most of the morning putting on the network. I think we're almost there.

I bought my Star Trek Blue Ray disc yesterday, even though Nancy pretended to try to stop me. She knew better! Now I just need to find extra time to watch it.

my daughter picked up that star trek blue ray set today, was all set ot enjoy it tonight and then got called into work on the way home. Oh well, need the income to pay for those movies, so it all works out in the end.
 
Tomatoes are almost ready to come out of the water bath - yay! I was going to make some end of the season pickles tonight, but I figure I don't have enough time to what with all the other stuff I still have to take care of yet. I want to go to bed at a decent time for a change!

On that note, I wish all of you most MERRY dreams tonight!!! :sparkle:

I have a sort of Christmassy story to share: This morning I had to take something into DD's school for her. She is 8 years old & in 3rd grade. Outside I met DD's head of daycare, where she went from 12 weeks through 5 years old. She rolled down her window & said, "I have on the earrings you bought me!" We gave them to her one year as a Christmas gift, so that was at least four Christmases ago! It made me happy to know that she still thinks of us after all those years & children that have come through the daycare. Always take time to think of a good gift for people, they will remember you for it!:wink:

Hooray! Volunteering pays off. Glad I can help out, once again, Crown. You're welcome. It is the least I can do. It's always a true pleasure to take over the prestigious countdown. I think this will be my first time filling in while in the US, too! Looking forward to helping everyone countdown the days this weekend!

Thank you! I DID get out around 5:30, thank heavens. I had to pick up a few things on the way home for some packages I'm mailing out, and just got through fixing up the packages and handling some laundry. A couple other things I meant to do I haven't done yet, but it's getting late and I'm tired---they'll keep until tomorrow.

I'm keeping an eye on the weather map. There are some heavy storms west of us, and it's hard to tell whether they'll roll over us later or move off in another direction.

Time for some dinner, I think. Mr. had to work late and will be home in about an hour. I can't wait that long!

I wonder if they are making a fall tree or if they are already decorating for christmas? Either way, you need to meet these people!!!!

my daughter had that one semester and was so glad when the was over with. She lived across town at the time so taking the bus home was not worth the effort.
