Time to look for work, submit some resumes, and I'm going over to a department store to introduce myself personally. My girlfriend manages the one in La Crosse, and referred me. I don't even know that they're hiring, but fingers are crossed.

I hope it all works out for you. Good luck!
Took a walk at Crabtree Valley Mall this morning.
Good news and bad news.

The bad: Still no sign of "A Christmas To Remember" or any empty space they could use.

The good: Macys and Sears were both in the process of putting out their Christmas stock and Belks' display is already fully up and opened!

If worse comes to worse, I can always launch the Blossoms tread with photos of one of those.

We will take anything Christmas! Thanks for the Blossoms thread!

Good morning MMC! It was a chilly 43º for our walk this morning! :cold: I had gloves on, but got too warm. But then I ended up putting on my ear muffs. It was an awesome walk!

I'm 95% sure I'll be taking off work tomorrow. I can walk in the morning, drink coffee, work on my new Christmas afghan, drink coffee, take Mike's bike for a ride, drink coffee, clean house, drink coffee... and cook for tomorrow night! I think I will need to cook for at least 13, but more may end up showing up?? It could be 20 or more!!! I'll just (hopefully) cook plenty & leftovers are always good!

Make it a great day everyone!!

Hey now! Don't forget to have a cup of coffee!!!

Yes, there will be more than 20, all of MMC will be there!

Good morning, MMC!

It was only 46 degrees when I woke up this morning. I wasn't expecting it to be so cold! We had to turn the heat on in my house.

I know I haven't been around very much. I just had surgery on Friday. It is nothing serious and I have known that I'd be getting the surgery for quite some time. It went smoothly except my heart rate jumped up to over 200 in recovery. Apparently during my surgery they gave me adrenaline so that caused the jump. They had to give me a beta blocker and then it dropped back down near 120. My resting heart rate is always near 100 so I wasn't too surprised considering the anesthesia and the other stuff they probably gave me. I had EKGs done while I was there and everything was fine. I got to go home the same day as the surgery.

Now that I have so much free time on my hands I will just have to spend it here :D

I am loving all of the fall candles and I cannot wait for the holidays, woo hoo!

Good to see you. Take care of yourself!!!

Good morning,

I watched the rest of the game last night and saw my Bengals pull out a tough win. I tried to come back here a few times during the game but couldn't get on, I was worried my IP address was blocked again but here I am. I dropped the boys off at school and then took a trip to KMart to look at their Halloween stuff, nothing too exciting this year, but their Harvest/Thanksgiving stuff was was very nice. I then went to check out Goodwill for their Christmas stuff, no good decorations, but I did get a Christmas DVD for $2, "Rick Steves European Christmas" I know you are a big fan of that CAH, so I got it partly because of your past reviews on it. (and the fact it was only $2)

I weighed myself this morning to see how I am doing with my "diet" after my cholesterol screening last week, and according to my scale I have lost 6lbs in a week. I was expecting 1-2 maybe 3lbs at most but 6?!!!! I must have been ingesting quite a bit of calories before I have gone to sensible portions, and I have cut out the candy for the most part, and the free donuts at work. cheesy

I have things to do around the house, I will be popping on throughout the day.
Have a great Tuesday!!

Wow! You caught my attention on that one! 2 bucks?! I had to search for it a few years before I found it because it was a PBS donation thing to even get it. I had it recorded on VHS but the tape was giving out. I finally found it online (there's plenty of them now) and it cost me more but worth every penny. Let me know what you think of it. It may or may not be your thing but I just LOVE it! I want to travel with that guy on all his Christmas adventures through Europe, especially Switzerland! That place is beautiful! I picture myself celebrating with everyone in that show. Thanks for thinking of me when you saw it!

Congratulations on your weight loss!

.

Now that's worth having an allergy attack for! *achoo*

I found some tissues. More Wintery than Christmassy, but I'll take them.

Good morning all. The weather is starting to look nice here. The forecast high today is 69. Looking out on the 10 day forecast our highs should stay in the mid 70s with lows in upper 40s/lower 50s. Hopefully we are finished with 80 degree days. This coming Sunday we get to celebrate the start of Fall. Hope the first frost is soon.

We are driving down to check on my parents this weekend. Right now they are holding their own. We are now praying they are home and able to enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Have a bless day all.

Have a safe trip, continued prayers for your parents. Enjoy the cooler temperatures!

I bought a candle from Kroger grocery store the other day called, Pumpkin Harvest. It's a 3 wick 10 ounce candle and was on sale for $3.99 (regular price $4.99). I was afraid with it being so cheap it would not smell as good burning like some cheap candles I have purchased in the past. This smells fantastic!!! I plan to go buy a couple more! I had bought at Bath and Bodyworks the Pumpkin Cupcake candle which smells wonderful too but this new one I bought smells just as good and less expensive.

If you have a Kroger grocery store and love pumpkin spice scents I highly recommend it!

That's a great price, wish I had a Kroger.

Don't forget me, Snowflake, when it comes to collecting Santas! That is my favorite thing to collect! :???:

I love the pictures you have posted!

I could never forget you!!! ;)

I didn't realize you collected them specifically, though! How could I not know this?!
I will add your name to my Santa list!

Which one would be your favorite?

All of them! :D

I never really meant to collect Santas but after years of buying Christmas decor and tree decorations I tend to gravitate to Santa Claus. I have a lot of them! I have more Santas than any other type of decoration in my collection of Christmas goodies.

We are having a debate in my house.....

When is is appropriate to bring out the Christmas dinnerware and mugs?

Me: November 1st
Mom: Thanksgiving
Brother: December 1st

I plan on winning this one!! There is no way I am waiting until December 1st! I can barely have them out over a month that way!

Oh no!!!!! Someone come hide the credit cards!!!!

 I know, right?!

Now!! Or November 1st if that's the soonest they'll agree to!!
I leave mine out year round! 8-)
I have certain dinnerware sets that I only use after Thanksgiving, but the mugs stay out. I need a little Christmas right this very minute, always!! LOL.
