Good morning,

Just finished watching "Christmas With The Kranks" it was a nice surprise to see it on Starz this morning, and I love that movie. It usually is one of the first movies we watch during the holiday season, so it has kicked my anticipation for Christmas into high gear!!!!!

I am dealing with my usual case of Wednesday don't want to go to work affliction, just have to remind myself that everyday brings us closer to Christmas.

I woke up at 2:00 and couldn't fall back to sleep. And now I feel a headache coming on. Grrrr. Thankfully there isn't a lot going on today. Typical day of errands and chores. The errands may have to wait until tomorrow, I'll see how I feel later. It is going to be sunny here today with a high of 70 degrees, we're at 45 degrees right now. The house feels chilly this morning! I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

OK. The 'Pines. Windows theme.
All of the details are still not clear, but Carl has stated that ALL of the windows in the 'Pines Inn will be flung open to symbolize the fact that we have passed through all of our "Window" Milestones.
Chairs will be lined up in front for a view of the entertainment to take place on the lawn. Some kind of contest.
I think it involves taste-testing.
I think it involves "blends".
.....I think I don't want to be involved.

Oh, well. You may be the adventurous sort, I don't know.....
Regardless. We'll see you there!

Thank you for your kind words.
Real estate isn't working out, I just can't afford it right now. They say it could be a year or more before I make anything, and I can't afford the monthly fees, dues, and marketing costs. And it's not really what I was expecting. I am disappointed but moving on. The grand plan is to find a job that I can still use my license for, like a real estate coordinator, but so far there's nothing available around here for that. Fingers crossed, but I just need a consistent income at this point. Thinking of what I want to do with my life in the mean time.

Not much sleep last night, I kept hearing noises and baby was up at 5:30am ! It's still raining here and getting colder!

I have aches and pains everywhere today lol. I can't even face going on the cross trainer. Anyway I'm just finishing up a few things before I collect my son from school but I wanted to share good news. DH got the job, thank you for the kind wishes and prayers, means a great deal.

Good Wednesday (Pinesday!) morning, my Christmas friends!

Today is upper school chapel day at the kids' school, and Jacob's Praise Band is set to play a couple songs. They played for the first time a couple weeks ago, but he wouldn't let us come to watch. He thought they wouldn't be very good, and he didn't want our first impression to be a bad one. But he says they are sounding better, so I'm about to leave work and head to the school. He took his new guitar, too!

Nancy and the kids are all going to dance and guitar lessons today, so think it's a good time to get some real work done on the Camaro this evening...I hope.

Good morning! I spoke to Carl this morning. He mentioned that his camel friends who attended the Pines last week have made it clear they will not be attending tonight. This is apparently because of the way Snowflake and Sugar conducted themselves. It is sad when a few out of control ones tarnish the image of an entire group! They did go on to reiterate how much of a gentleman Made is, so perhaps all hope is not lost.

Well I'm glad I made a good impression. I figured that round of fired twinkie's I bought would go a long way with them.

I still can't believe how Sugar and Snowflake acted though.

Fortunately one of my friends came up with a cute Idea. We are going to tell the christmas story a bit different this year. She found a children book in which several different animals retell stories out of the bible. The christmas story is told by a fox, who wanted to snatch a little sheep for his dinner. While the fox tried to steal the sheep the angels came to the shepherds and tell them that Jesus Christ is born (and so on). The story is illustraded with very beautiful and cute pictures. We are planning to project those pictures and that someone (the childern if they dare) reads the story. The children will be angels and shepherds and the holly family.

We also want to have lots of different candels and old fashioned lamps (like petrolium lamps ect.) and a artificial campfire for the shepherds. Together with the christmas tree this should light up the church in a cozy way.

We will meet at the and of october again and disscus it in detail.

Oh, I can see why you need coffee. Maybe a Coke is going to help too? That's what I'm usually drink when I feel a headache coming. Here in my office the coffee isn't very tasteful, therefore my morning coffee at home has to be enough.

Our coffee at work stinks too, so I bring a carafe with me!!

Good 'Pines Day morning, everyone!

Windows are open and good times are to be had. What a grand idea by Carl! The Season is coming so fast that if you close your eyes and take a deep breath, you can almost smell Christmas in the air.

It was a chilly walk to our latest apartment showing this morning in Ottawa. Temperature were about 6c/43f. It really enjoyed it. Interestingly enough, I also enjoyed the apartment! It is quite spacious and exactly what we are looking for. It was a one bedroom plus den. The layout is very nice. It also includes a backyard patio, where I can (finally) barbecue. The apartment hasn't really been advertised, so Kim and I are under the impression that we were one of the first ones to look at it.

The only two problems is that they want us to move in on October 1st, which means that we'd be paying double rent for two months! Double ouch! And laundry isn't onsite, which was a big hope of mine. I think I can settle for no laundry, however. It will be tough, but I can do it! We have two more showings today, then I think we will submit our application this afternoon.

The best part? Decorating a new house for Christmas!! Kim and I are very excited to figure out how we're going to decorate for the Season. Of course, we're also excited to show all of you, too! Oh, the extra excitements of Christmas!

It's the second last 'Pines Day of Christmas. Perhaps the last 'Pines Day before the debut of Crown's world famous Christmas Blossoms thread, the most anticipated thread of the year. Speaking of which, I wonder how Carl celebrates the debut of Blossoms. I am sure he loves the different decoration ideas!

Two more showings and job searching lay ahead for today. I hope you're all having a great Wednesday! These double digits are a sight to see!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a warm day here with a high in the mid 80's this afternoon. I've already ran a few errands this morning and did a quick clean of the kitchen. Now I need to get back to working on my bedroom. It's still a mess. First things first though. I need more coffee!!! I'm dragging today. Oh well. Carl does not hold a grudge and loves Snowflake and Sugar. But apparently the rift between his camel friends and those two gals is pretty big! He mentioned he is considering bringing in Jimmy Carter as a mediator to hold peace talks.

I must admit, I was concerned for Jacob's feelings if the "gig" didn't go over well, but they were great! The drummer needs more practice, but the sound was super, and Jacob looked at-ease on stage. Maybe a little too at-ease. He kept taking with the other guitar player and looking around the stage while playing.

You gotta make eye contact with your audience! I'll give him some live performance pointers tonight, but his band sounds great! I'll try to upload the video to Youtube later. Thanks!

I was at Kohls last night too & saw the same things!!! Our Kohls stores look identical!! LOVED IT! A lady passing by laughed & shook her head as I was checking it all out! WHAT??? Lol! I buy a St. Nick Square piece or 2 every year for my friend. So cool!
