Christmas Countdown - 2013

I had a wonderful weekend away.
We visited the boat locks http://www.pc.gc.ca/eng/lhn-nhs/on/trentsevern/visit/visit6/lock21.aspx
The zoo, farmers market and of course garage sales and thrift stores! I did not find much which was disappointing, but my best find was a chocolate fountain! Going to have fun with that.
The drive there and back was fun too with many interesting stops along the way.

I saw in the Sunday paper ads today an ad for Yankee Candle and they have a new scent, Turkey & Stuffing!!!

I have been wanting that scent for years!!!!

I can't wait to give it a sniff test.

Well, time to go back to work tomorrow....I've been a bum long enough....

Excited to go back....even more excited to think about how Christmas will change (read a thread tonight about Christmas Eve)....can't wait...

I am to the part in Christmas Vacation to where Clark finally gets his lights on(actually Ellen get his lights on) and he goes down the line crying and hugging his family and in laws. Then he gets to Eddie and Catherine. The one thing that has always peaked my curiosity and maybe I dwell on things in movies too much but I don't understand how Clarks in laws treat him so bad and they are over the moon for Catherine and Eddie although Clark is very successful and Eddie lives in a motorcoach and his 2 oldest children are working for the circus and are in drug rehab. Clarks in laws just treat him so bad the whole movie...lol has anyone else every thought about that or is it just me?
Oh well I am going to go to bed as soon as it is over with. Jordan and James are already asleep so I hope they sleep until 6 am when I have to get up. I hope everyone had a great weekend and I will talk to y'all in the morning! Sleep well!

I never really thought about it like that but now that you mention it, you're right.

I took a ride to the outlets earlier, still not many signs of Christmas. The Christmas Tree Shop was the only store where I saw some Christmas decor. I wanted to take a few pictures but my daughter started to whine about how embarrassing I am. I would like to go back there soon, by myself. Anyway, my daughter handed a few job applications in to some stores and already has an interview set up for Friday. Hopefully she will find something soon. We got her in the car but she has to put the gas in it.
I'm going to turn in soon. I'm so tired and I have to wake up early. I hope everyone is well and had a great weekend.

I took a ride to the outlets earlier, still not many signs of Christmas. The Christmas Tree Shop was the only store where I saw some Christmas decor. I have been wanting that scent for years!!!!

I can't wait to give it a sniff test.

You can get a list of 12 items, and you get 11 done all they do is harp about the one task that wasn't done. When they give the same list to a slacker employee and they get 2 of 12 done, it is "way to go!" "great job today!"

They have the higher expectations on Clark than they do for Eddie, so they expect more from Clark and his family, and expect nothing from Eddie's.

You and me both!! I can't believe it! I can't wait to tell Brandi this...we both LOVE yankee candles I like the floral scents the most but the food scents can be good in the kitchen. I just bought spiced pumpkin but have not burned it yet they are so good I hate to burn them up before the holidays! I just can't imagine the smell on a candle like that!:razz:
