Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good afternoon everyone! I am taking a break to my Halloween decorating. Brandi made me a great blackened salmon salad, and I suspect after eating this I will end up on the couch and we will commence in family night! I will finish my decorating tomorrow I guess. THe weather is amazing...temps are in the low 50's and it's suppose to end up in the 30's tonight and tomorrow night. We officially turned on our heat on Oct 2nd! I don't know why I keep records of silly stuff like that but I do.lol I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Oh and my Dawgs are tied right now with Tennessee volunteers in the 4th qtr. All I can say is Go dawgs!!!

We are going to just chill tonight and watch some Halloween movies from the 80's! Friday the 13th type stuff ... I miss the old horror moives they were so cheesy but when I was a kid I thought they were so scary! Well Have a good night everyone! talk to yall tomorrow!

Wow has it ever got hot and muggy here. Rained last night and then around 2 pm sun came out. Wishing the ac was still in the window. Not often we have this in October . Looked out the window and it is quite foggy now.

It was hot and muggy here, too. Reminds me of the way it feels in spring just before we get a bad storm. How is your knee?

thx my dear friend!!!! I´m not sold on Kandice having recovered....at around 10:30am she started her headache again.....that wild thing even laid down to sleep a little....all by herself.....got me worried a bit.....since one hour she is headache free again.....I think a little virus might have caught up with her and it is trying to get out....but her body is fighting it....my sweet pea

Aw, I hope Kandice is better! Glad you are better, track! How is Stripey doing?

That is awesome they gave all those samples. All my place of employment gives me is headaches and ulcers.

Good afternoon, friends!!

Hope you're all having a great weekend so far!

The ornament premier at Hallmark was fun today

I ended up remembering that I had a $10 off coupon, so I brought that and ended up getting two keepsake ornaments.

I got Santa's Magic Storybook:

And Santa Signal:

They both light up and have sound/music.
The story book has an excerpt read from Santa, and the sky lights up and reads "Believe" at the end. And Santa's signal plays Here Comes Santa Claus, and you can hear a train whistle and then kids at the end asking Santa to "please stop here". Really fun & sweet!!

There were many others that I was excited about, and even though I still liked them, I didn't want to spend the extra money right now. I narrowed it down to my two favorites.

Off to do some things around the house, and then I need to order some take out for us.

Home from the festival!!! It was a pretty good time. Only bought 2 santa's and spent way to much on food. LOL!!!! Spent way to much time on my foot though. So I'm going to try and kick back and keep it up for awhile but that's not going to be to easy since my niece's had to come home with me.

I'm glad you had a good time at the festival. Hope your foot is better soon!

Before I sign off tonight I wanted to say thinking of you Cm3 as always 6 months ago tonight she was taken from us!!! Now she is our Christmas angel. I miss her so much!

I really felt her smiling down on us today. We always compared notes on what we wanted at the ornament premiers, and I know she loved having that special time with her sister, Margaret.

In our house, a Lon Chaney (Sr.) film is an old horror film.

Ugh ... someone a few streets over is having an outdoor party complete with a (not-too-good) band. The perpetrator ... excuse me, the host ... left notes in all the mailboxes to let us know they would be having the party tonight. I guess so no one would call the police. The band is supposed to play for another 3 hours, and the party goes on for another 4 hours. Oh, lordy ... I guess we'll put on a video or a movie and play it loud.

Got the Blu-ray of "The Wizard of Oz," but haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

Im sorry after I wrote that it kind of made me feel old too! We are actually about to watch an old favorite Betty Davis movie from the 50's called "Hush hush sweet Charlotte" now that would classify as an older horror/suspense film!!!
