I did not have a great day today. I was able to get some recipes from FB, but it seemed to take forever. My computer was really weird, going blank on several pages. For some reason, the pain was bad today. I had cut back pain meds. Yesterday, I really worked at not taking anything except Tylenol. I guess I got too proud of myself and paid for it today. I finally took something and then took a three-hour nap. I will work tomorrow at getting a little caught up on the Countdown. TTYT!

Praying for you, Seawaters! {{{HUGS}}}

Good morning MMC! Happy Monday! Happy Columbus Day! Happy Thanksgiving in Canada!
:!!

It's a typical Monday morning here. Tired! I was ready for bed by 8:30 last night - I had to fight to stay awake until 10:00! It just gets dark too early now! HA! So I shouldn't be tired today, but I feel like I could use a nap! (won't happen...)

Our meal at the lake Friday night turned out really well. Saturday afternoon we went on a bike ride with friends. Saturday night we watched Mama Mia on the big screen. Yesterday we rode bike at the lake in the morning, then rode bike with my family in the afternoon along the Miami Erie canal to a 40 acre pond. It was a beautiful (though bumpy) ride! Last night we went to my sisters - my BIL made a bunch of chicken halves on his cooker - we had all placed an order for how many we wanted to take home to freeze for a quick easy meal! They were delish! They look dark in the picture, but they really weren't!

Poof - there went the weekend! Not much going on this week that I know of! Dad has a doc appt with a back surgeon Thursday. Makes me kind of nervous. He has a flattened vertebrae in his lower back - they say it's not an operable type thing, but they want an opinion from a surgeon! I hope there is something they can do for him - for the pain! And I sure hope they don't tell him that his days of mowing lawn (riding mower) are over! He could mow 365 days a year & he would be a happy man! So a little prayer for my papa would be appreciated!

Have a great Monday!

Praying for your dad, Holiday!

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a beautiful day here with a high of 70 degree's. I'm going to try and be a good boy this week and stay off this foot since I was terrible about it last week. So it's going to be a pretty boring week for me. I see a lot of Christmas movies in my future though!!!! So that's a plus. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

You better start listening! I'm sorry I wasn't home for you to chit chat with, but I will be now, so stay off that foot, Mister! :!!

Are you going to come cook and clean for me too???

Just some CD's that are creepy Halloween organ music, a scary Soundtrack mix, sounds effects, etc.. ones I play for the kids during Trick-or-Treating

I also listen to various stations on the Live 365 app- under Seasonal/Holiday--->Halloween!!

That would make me run and hide instead of clean!!

MerryCarey, there was some vintage horror on last night. TCM ran Nosferatu and it is now waiting on my DVR for some nice October viewing.

The original silent one, I hope? Wasn't there a remake a few years back?

I saw the original once, in a theater. Unfortunately, they ran it at sound speed, and the audience was laughing at it because of the fast, jerky motion.

I got Mr. the digital restoration of "The Devil Bat" as an anniversary gift. We're looking forward to that! (My anniversary gift was the Blu-ray/DVD duo of the Alastair Sim "Scrooge"---woohoo!)

Good Monday afternoon, friends... drinking some tea, trying to get motivated to do something. Jude is off so we spent the morning at the park with friends. I am just dragging, feeling like I might be getting sick. Blah!

hope it's a great day!!

Nope, I go back on Wednesday!

Harlowe & I have walks to go on, country drives to take, and the not so fun housework to do...And I plan to catch up on some holiday reading!!

Country drives? Are you coming to see me??

Where can I order this cookbook?

If the link doesn't help anymore, send a PM to Jeff. I'm sure he can hook you up with a copy. All the recipes were submitted by MMC members!

Congratulations on Boston's win last night.

Thank you! Big Papi came through again!

Talk about an evenly matched pair of teams ... this series is up for grabs. We'll have no fingernails left by the time it's over!

Good morning everyone!

I wasn't able to stop by yesterday. What a busy day! I did, however, hold my own celebrations for the fact that it was one month until the Christmas Season! 30 today and seeing 29 tomorrow will be nothing short of extraordinary!

Despite Thanksgiving being today, we celebrated yesterday - as I believe most people do because of traveling, etc. It was a delicious dinner filled with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and of course, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, apple crisp and a few other delicious deserts. I could barely control myself! All in all, I think it is good that meals like that only happen about twice per year - at least for me... Of course, I will be looking forward to the next one - Christmas Day - even more!

72 days until Christmas Day?! I think I will have to make a massive effort to treasure every inkling of Christmas I see from now on. Not that I don't already, but I think I will have to make an even bigger/conscious effort of appreciation. Hopefully I will be able to go to the Rideau Centre sometime this week to see if I can find some Christmas displays! I'm sure that The Bay may have their Christmas Street on display very shortly!

OK. Well, Kim and I have to drive back to Ottawa shortly. I hope everyone in Canada enjoyed their Thanksgiving and everyone south of the border has done the same for their Columbus Day! There are no remaining holidays until the beginning of the Christmas Season, although some may get Remembrance/Veterans' Day off. Such a wonderful feeling. Our favourite Season will be in here in 30 days!

Have a great Monday, everyone!

Glad you had a great day yesterday!! Have a safe drive back!!!

Sure - I'll just take a leave of absence. I'll just tell them I'm taking FMLA, I'm taking care of a family member. I mean, you are like family - they'll never know.
