Christmas Countdown - 2013

[Holiday]

Good morning y'all. Today is my last work day for the week. The college where I work is in fall break and we all have the rest of the week off. The wife will still be working and our son is still in school so I'll just stay around the house and get some chores done.

I agree that it is sad that Macy's is opening Thanksgiving night. Black Friday is fine but retail stores need to avoid opening on Thanksgiving. The only way to stop it is for folks to stop shopping on Thanksgiving but that won't happen.

We live in a remote area so we do a lot of our shopping online. The closest mall or real shopping center is almost 2 hours away. Even Walmart is a hour away. We will shop some on black Friday since we are down visiting parents for Thanksgiving and we usually make a trip to Pigeon Forge, TN to shop on a Saturday during the season.

I might stay home (like Sugar) with a cup of coffee infront of my computer this year! Last year I went out with friends around 10am & we had so much fun! Maybe we can do that again this year too? It's just rediculous to start at 8pm on Thanksgiving. Midnight on Thanksgiving was rediculous! 5am was plenty early. Ah well...

Hey all! Things have been super busy and I feel so left behind! WHen I miss a day or two here I feel like I have let everyone down it's terrible!! Anyway we went away last Friday for the weekend to go leaf peeing. It was awesome almost as pretty as New England in the fall. It seems as though winter is here! We are at 40F right now and suppose to get down to 33F tonight. I think we will see snow any day now! Just 2 more weeks to Halloween and I guess you can say we are moving into mid fall now going by the Calendar! Well I better get to sleep because it's my night to get up with the boys plus you know I have work and all!Lol goodnight friends! I will try to talk to yall in the morning!

You have not let us down! We love it when you can join us!!! As for the leaf peeing, I won't say anything about that, LOL!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had to take Lulu to the vet last night for an emergency visit. She seemed to be choking on something, and I couldn't see any thing in her throat. They said her tonsils are swollen (I didn't even know dogs had tonsils :?) and some lymph nodes are, too. The gave her a steroid shot and sent us home with more steroid pills, so hopefully that'll do the trick. Now I just have to pay the vet.

More Vice-Presidents in the office today, so I'm keeping a low profile.

Hi my friends,

yesterday I received the first of Kandice´s Christmas Presents....again it seems Disney themed ......A friend of ours is a flightstewart for the Lufthansa airline....he usually takes flights to the States or Northern Africa....I asked him to bring an item that would cost 35 Euros in our German online Disneystore....which is Jessie from ToyStory...You can pull the string and she speaks sentences....he also brought a Pyjama with Rapunzel on it.....all together for 35 Euros.....so that was a real bargain....The pyjama is now Kandice´s fave pyjama and she is very proud that it is from America!!! Hahaha.....of course Jessie, the toystory girl is a Christmas present....she doesn´t know anything about it. Today I paid for the "The Princess and the frog" Nintendo DS video game on ebay.....including shipping it only cost me 6,68Euros....I will go on ebay shopping....I might find other great stuff....I am one happy Momma

Tonight I get a hair cut/highlight, then my sisters want to go out for Mexican after. My sis (beautician) is going to cut my other sisters hair while I sit for the color! Sounds like a great plan to me. But that means I'll have to DVR Toy Story of Horror at work! (we don't have dvr at home) Hopefully I'll be able to at least listen to it at work tomorrow. Or I know it's on again a couple more times! Anyway, then I'm hoping to work some more on my afghan tonight. Need to get to the grocery store sometime too! And clean my house before stitch n b*tch tomorrow night! EEK!

I'm turning in soon, I am very headachy tonight. Just waiting for my oldest to get home from work, she should be here any minute.
My middle daughters job interview went well this afternoon, they offered her the position. I'm relieved that she found something. And she's really happy, she loves the store.

It has been a long night, I made chili, cleaned up and then edited and loaded most of my photos on to my albums here at MMC for the Blossoms thread, I did add six posts of photos to the Blossoms of Yankee Candle.
I am beat, and I work early tomorrow.

I also watched the Red Sox win a heck of a game tonight, what a series so far, 2 1-0 games, and a third nailbiter of a game.

Just read where the upper Midwest is going to have their first flurries of the season!! We have had snow all around us in Montana,Idaho,and Colorado and some here but at higher elevations. If anyone here lives in the upper Midwest you better get ready the temps are on the way down for you guys too! hehe just noticed my font..oops!

My husband and I went to a haunted house in Dundalk last weekend. While we were driving through one of the little neighborhoods to get there, we saw 3 houses with Halloween decorations, and 1 house with their Christmas decorations up. Yep....a Christmas tree in the window, and a light-up snowman. I guess they know which holiday is their favorite!
