Well, Folks. It's here again. Seems like it just keeps repeating week after week.
Of course it does.
Weekend Eve.
(What would we do without it?)

And whatever would we do without our daily count fix?
Days to Halloween: 13 (Look at that -- under 2 weeks!)
Days to the Season: 26 (Getting close to 3 1/2 weeks!)
Days to Christmas Day: 68 (Close to 9 1/2 weeks!)
(How can we be closing in on the holidays so fast??)

A real good day yesterday with just a touch of a sprinkle. Great temps for mid October.
Chilly weather on the way, though, per the weather service.
Right now? Well, we show 61 degrees on our thermometer.

Good morning everyone!

Friday. We've nearly reached the weekend! I have so many Christmas-oriented things I want to do this weekend, more specifically store searching for decorations, but my schedule may already be full! I don't really like the sounds of that!

It's a rainy day in Ottawa. Thankfully, it should pass later this morning and make way for a bit of sun this afternoon. Highs into the mid teens/upper 50s. Not bad. According to the forecast, this could be the final day of the year that we reach the mid-teens... unless we get some form of a heatwave in November.

I should get back to work. It's early and I'm really tired. I couldn't sleep last night after playing hockey at 11pm. Unfortunately, we lost. We didn't play our best game, but it was fun to be on the ice. We'll have to do better next game.

Ooh, the weather man just said that we may see some frost tonight!!! Plus high's 15 degree's below normal next week!!!! I love it!! Bring it on!!!!

Did you get any frost? Nothing here - that's ok. Save my tomatoes a little longer!

Wow! Possible snow forecasted for Saturday & Monday!! Wasn't expecting that just yet! Keep forgetting that we're farther north!! ️

0 sleep last night; one of those toss and turn nights where nothing felt comfortable, the temperature was either too hot with the covers on and too chilly with them off. I'm in serious need a coffee infusion to stay functional today.

I'm already here at the office/ been here since 5:30 and I am supposed to go on the road today with the president of my firm and get this...were heading to the Baltimore Convention Center to survey a location within it for a new Starbucks... define irony.....lol~

But, it is Friday, so there is a silver lining to the day!

Hope it goes well today! Too funny! Drink that coffee!!!(My pumpkin spice is tasting yummy!)

Good chilly morning MMC!! Sun is shining & it's supposed to warm up to a balmy 66º today! Look how the temps are going to (supposed to) drop though next week:

That will be the end of our garden 2013! Kinda makes me sad! I just love those fresh tomatoes from the garden! Darn!

We don't have a lot of plans this weekend. Heading to the lake. I'm sure the furnace will be going on tomorrow! We haven't had to turn it on out there at all yet, so I can't wait to smell that! LOL! It's our friends (from the lake) birthday next week so we will celebrate a little over the weekend. I am stopping on my way to the lake to pick up a shirt for her that she has been wanting! We will watch the Buckeyes tomorrow afternoon. Probably a little grilling out! Hopefully some bike riding! Sunday I have a Mary Kay party to go to - IF I decide to go. My friend also wants me to take their family pics Sunday. That would probably be the perfect day (peak foliage) to do it! So we'll see!!

Good morning to all, and have a great day before weekend begins!

Sorry I didn't pop in yesterday evening. The international evening lasted way longer than we had expected. Surprisingly, it went very very VERY well! Lots of students came and I think we were happiest mostly about it. :] We had short presentations about each country, dances, songs, language quiz (it was so much fun), and yummy international food! ^^

This week was kinda intensive so I'm glad the weekend is approaching.

Good morning friends. I am supposed to get off at 4:30 this evening and I hope it happens. I've been working overtime lately and I'm worn out!

Tomorrow I am taking my son and his friend on a ghost hunt and we will be visiting some spooky looking (yet safe) places around town. My son said, "we don't believe in ghosts really but it sure is fun to pretend!" I couldn't agree more! He uses that imagination and comes up with some stories to tell and I love hearing them!

I hope you get off at 4:30 ... you deserve it. I envy you and your son going on a ghost hunt! In October I usually catch a few episodes of Ghost Hunters on cable, and the EVPs especially fascinate me.

We've had plenty of gorgeous days this autumn, and today is another one! Once the summer haze is gone and the sky is blue and clear, it really sets off the colors of the leaves. I think the weekend is supposed to be sunny. About the middle of next week, our nighttime lows are supposed to plunge below freezing for a few days, so I guess the leaves won't be around much longer. Maybe we'll get the spectacle of brightly colored leaves glistening with frost!

Crown, thank heaven for your Countdown. I had somehow convinced myself that Halloween is next Thursday instead of the week after, and I was feeling time rush by way too fast, but this morning's Countdown set me straight!

Good morning!
Just walked the dogs and it is a beautiful morning with temperatures in the mid 50's. It will be sunny and breezy today with a high of 66 degrees.
Things have been so hectic around here. I have given notice to Yankee Candle that I will be leaving them. It isn't working out for me for a couple of reasons. I'm sad to leave because I love the store but I will be stepping right in to another job. At a Hallmark store!!! This will be a much better fit for me. It is less than 5 minutes from my home and they are willing to accommodate my availability. And Hallmark carries Yankee Candles, so that's a plus! I start October 31st.
Typical day for me, errands and chores. I want to go to the butcher today but first I need to write a menu plan and grocery list for next week. I'll do the rest of my food shopping tomorrow.
I am also starting a diet today. I got on the scale this morning and I really want to lose at least 10 pounds. Well maybe a little more but I will start with a 10 pound goal. I swapped my coffee and creamer for green tea and I had oatmeal instead of the usual bagel and cream cheese. I'm really going to try and be good. It's not easy!!!
